Legend has it that by the time Van Halens 5th studio album; Diver Down was released Diamond Dave Lee Roth was getting fed up that he was being constantly criticised for only writing songs about his own vision of the American Dream - ie. girls; partying; sex and cars. The only thing is; is that DLR had never actually written a song about a car - so on 1984 he put that right with Panama.
