The ICD 2 is an integrated debugger and programmer enabling embedded systems engineers, through the use of a PCs USB or RS-232 port, to carry out system debugging and then to transfer code to devices. The ICD 2 uses the powerful graphical user interface of the MPLAB Integrated Design Environment (IDE). An ICD connector attached to the device uses only two I/O pins shared between in-circuit debugging and in-circuit serial programming.
