Its hinges and keyholes are made from solid steel which is rusted and then hand-polished to give it the appearance of old rifles.The furniture has a distressed finish to create an impression of age and use. The timber is selected for its natural characteristics and given time to dry and age, so no two pieces will be exactly alike in colour or grain. This light finish is called Alsace.Traditional production methods allow for movement in the panels as the wood expands and contracts with changes in temperature and humidity.
