A first-rate `hardneck` garlic similar to the popular `Spanish Roja` which is no longer available. Originally from Bulgaria it`s a virus-free variety and produces medium sized bulbs containing large cloves that peel easily and have a delicious strong garlic flavour. 2 bulbs (8-10 cloves per bulb). These `hardneck` (Rocambole) varieties are closest to wild garlic and naturally forms a seed stalk or scape which curls into a characteristic loop.
