This British bred variety boasts pretty bicoloured flowers and flat purple pods that are best picked young and eaten raw steamed or stir-fried. The purple pods are rich in the antioxidant anthocyanin (though the colour fades to dark green when the pods are steamed or boiled). Good resistance to powdery mildew and good tolerance to downy mildew.
