Part of our Pop-Up Cellar sourced by Lay and Wheeler. 50 year old vines and much more clay in the soil of this small parcel set inside the Gramolere vineyard. To be able to buy a cru of this quality at this price is fantastic; we later tasted the 98, which is just perfect today. The 2008 has a ripe, but dense tannic structure, with a core of blue fruit and soft mineral characters. This is a big wine which needs time, but is already showing its class.
