Although known primarily for their Pinotage, Beyerskloof have also made a success of growing Bordeaux varieties on a smaller scale, on gravelly soils that are similar to those of Bordeaux itself. The vines are planted in a north-south direction to maximise sun exposure. An easy-going, medium-bodied blend, majoring on ripe red berry flavours delivered in a softly textured package. Subtle savoury hints add complexity to the youthful fruit. Drink with beef stew.
