In the tradition of St Clair Vineyards, this wine comes from a single plot chosen specifically for Malbec. It is located in the Gimblett Gravels sub-region of Hawkes Bay, which has become known as one of New Zealands finest terroirs for Bordeaux grape varieties. A dense and concentrated wine with invitingly ripe boysenberry fruit, subtle aromas of jasmine and spices and a smooth texture reminiscent of dark chocolate. Best enjoyed in its youth, paired with a medium-rare steak.
