| This Pack of 12 Trees for Life Winter Greetings Cards features six different beautiful photographs (2 of each design) of the Caledonian Forest in winter, and they are ideal for use as Christmas cards. The cards measure 12 x 18 cm. (4.7 x 7 in.), are blank inside for your own message, and include information about the forest on the back. They are printed on recycled paper made from 75 post-consumer waste and come with matching envelopes. Trees For Life Trees For Life is an award-winning Scottish charity that aims to restore the native Caledonian Forest to a large area in the Scottish Highlands. During the last 17 years they have planted almost 700,000 native trees, and have protected remnants of the original forest, so that they can regenerate naturally, in the absence of overgrazing by deer and sheep. Through the charitys work, barren landscapes have been transformed into healthy, young forest, complete with insects, birds, mosses and lichens etc. All this has been carried out by volunteers under expert guidance, and TFLs long term vision is to restore the forest to an area of 600 square miles, and eventually to reintroduce the missing species of wildlife, such as beaver, wild boar and lynx, that are an essential part of the forest ecosystem. This project is particularly close to our heart. |
