Berton Open Basket is a very moreish quaffable red from Bob Berton who has been working in the industry for the last 18 years. In 2006 he decided to go solo buying a cellar in Riverina New South Wales. He already had a tiny plot of vines in the Eden Valley South Australia where he makes tiny quantities of wine. He employed two good mates as winemakers - Belinda Morandin and James Ceccato - with whom he worked before and for the last two vintages has been making some highly successful wines.
