The Hewlett-Packard High Performance Computing LC Series of compute farm clusters is the first announcement in a series of HP IA32 High Performance Computing solutions. The LC Series is designed to give the entry to mid range high performance computer customer a range of cluster performance choices. The node sizes and interconnect options to satisfy a range of uses and application environments from 16 node non blocking switched 10/100 Fast Ethernet clusters to 128 node high bandwidth low latency message passing clusters using the de facto compute cluster interconnect standard Myrinet XP Fiber NICs and Switches.
