On some websites this is listed as an air conditioner - it is NOT. I have
found this device to be nothing but an expensive, glorified fan. A
thermometer placed directly in the cooled flow of air coming from this
machine registered 1 degree C ABOVE the temperature of the air going in! I
had intended to use the air cooler to reduce the heat in a small bedroom
by directing a cool flow of air across it from the direction of the open
door. Two and a half hours later there was no discernable difference in
comfort. I approached the makers to discuss the problem and was simply
advised that this is an air cooler not an air conditioner, buy an air
conditioner. In my view I wasted my money. Be certain that the device will
be suitable for the purpose you have in mind before comitting
yourself.
