| Fisher-Price | Sounds and Lights Monitor | The monitor works well. You can hear the baby crying but there is too much static in the background. I had used another model before and the sound was much clearer. | | Gail | 20/07/2007 18:46:46 |

| Tomy | Walkabout Baby Advance Monitor | Agree with everyone here. This Tomy Walkabout is appalling. Why can`t manufacturers make products that just do what they are made to do? This rubbish product couldn`t establish and hold a connection in an adjacent room, let alone 300 metres away as Tomy boasts! There is of course the disclaimer within the instructions stating that, and I quote: the range and general quality of reception may vary on battery power and number of obstructions such as walls(!!!), buildings etc. Yeah right. | | Rob | 30/12/2007 10:03:29 |

| Tomy | Walkabout Baby Advance Monitor | This monitor is really not very good. Sometimes I can`t even get a signal due to all the interference. When we do get a signal there is a dull backgrond drone which drives me crazy - especially during the night. We are now looking to replace it and I really wish that we hadn`t brought it in the first place. Don`t waste your money! | | Mary | 15/10/2007 11:13:42 |

| Tomy | Digital Baby Walkabout | I`ve owned this product for a little over a year now, I`ve had no interference problems and when you do you have to change the channels as some one else might have the same one, heat temp was always correct but for it to read properly it has to be upright and away from any heaters etc.. | Angelcare | Monitor | I have had this now a year with my son and I wouldnt be without it. It gives me huge piece of mind, especially when he is ill. It also has an excellent range. | Angelcare | Sound & Movement Monitor | I got this model bought to me as a gift and found it very realiable, I knew that I could sleep at night and when I woke I could hear the tick I knew my baby was safe, it is very reassuring and at least we could get the rest as well. | Summer Infant | Deluxe Prenatal Heart Listening | I bought this item yesterday when I was 16 weeks pregnant it doesnt pick up heart beat very well as yet as the baby is to active to stay still and listen to the heart but I can hear the hiccups and the kicks they are very loud so with what the other person was talking about the item isnt a waste of money its worth a lot more than it is priced up as I am looking forward to the time my baby slows down abit so I can actually listen to the heart beat properly but who ever says that this product is rubbish dont listen to them | | katherine a very happy customer | 15/04/2008 09:59:24 |

| HiSense | BabySense 2 | For my baby shower, we received the BabySense V from my parents. It`s a monitoring system that detects the slightest movements, even those from breathing, to monitor a baby`s safety during sleep. Maybe I had heard too many stories during my pregnancy, but up until I received this gift, I was very concerned about how I would know if our baby was alright while she slept. I knew I`d be one of those moms who stared at her baby`s chest looking for movement, or constantly disturbed the baby`s sleep by feeling for breathing. After all of the scary stories about SIDS, I wanted to have an extra layer of protection that would allow my baby (and us) to sleep better. I was also concerned after stories of infant abductions were publicized during our pregnancy. It made me question so many things. Should we have a sign or balloons in our yard to announce her arrival? Should we spread the news more quietly? Did I really have to worry about someone coming into our home and taking our child? Having the BabySense takes away so much of that worry. I feel comfortable taking our monitor outside with me while I`m gardening during our baby`s nap, because I know that the alarm will sound if something happens or if the baby is taken out of her crib. I still lock the doors if I`m not right by the door, but I have that extra comfort of knowing that my baby is safe because of the BabySense monitor. My first thought after the initial relief of having an answer to my concerns, was how difficult is this monitor going to be to use and how well could it really work? Well, it is more than easy - place the monitor pad under the mattress, connect the cord to the monitor and insert AA batteries. The monitor is simple to turn on, and indicates that it`s functioning right away. We of course tested it before our baby actually arrived. We tried many different scenarios; empty crib, putting weight in the crib, placing our hands in the crib to add weight, etc. The alarm sounded when there was no movement, but didn`t sound when we had our hands putting weight on the mattress because we moved ever so slightly. Now that our baby girl is here, we use it every night and for naps. I feel so much more secure knowing that it will sense if there is a problem, even if a cold or fever causes her breathing patterns to change. It has allowed my husband and I, as well as our daughter to sleep more peacefully, and as new parents that is one thing you can`t always count on! | | First Time Mom | 26/08/2007 09:34:41 |

| Philips | DECT Digital Baby Monitor | I personally loved this product. Used it since my baby came home from hospital and still using for trips away and when baby is out of earshot. No interference at all - crystal clear reception. love the fact you can program the lullablies from the parent handset and can talk to the baby without having to go into the room. top marks from me! | | Mum1 | 11/08/2007 08:02:25 |

|
| FISHER-PRICE | Smart Reponse Aquarium Monitor | The light is quite bright and at first I thought it would keep baby awake. I was wrong. It projects fish swimming on the ceiling, and baby watches it until fast asleep. It also turns itself on if theres crying, and you can choose between sound of waves or music. Great product - totally recommend (unit is a bit bulky though) | | Mums the word | 27/03/2007 13:02:16 |

| Maws | Reassurance 8 | Fantastic product, great range, my older children used it as a walkie talkie from our house to the house 3 doors down and it was still clear! gave me peace of mind, the light flashes whilst the baby is breathing or it makes a sound. brilliant! | | joey | 02/01/2007 09:38:57 |

| Unbranded | BT Digital Baby Monitor | Fantastic!
When we had our first child you could not get digital baby monitors so we had an Angelcare analogue monitor and at the time we thought it was fine. However with these digital monitors you wonder how you ever put up with the constant noise from the older analogue ones! If you are used to analogue monitors then it`s a bit disconcerting at first when you can`t hear anything until the baby/child makes a noise but once you are used to it you can really relax and enjoy your evenings.
Both units take standard AA batteries too so if you are on holiday you don`t have to worry about lugging the power adapters with you. The base unit charges the parent unit as well so you can leave it on the unit all night in your bedroom and then take it downstairs at night.
We found the batteries lasted about a year before the charge failed to last long enough during the evening and then you simply put some new regchargeable`s in - great! | | Chris | 26/01/2006 09:37:41 |

| Angelcare | Sound & Movement Monitor | Our daughter and husband invested in this model and found it to be extreamly realiable, also put their minds at rest when baby was asleep, being a Nana I remember when our daughter was born and we were always sleeping with one ear open, so much for tecnology, wish Angel Care was about when we were young, saved a lot of sleepless nights !

| Safety 1st | Angelcare Monitor | Excellent system that has a flat mat that lies under the baby mattress and senses movement. Makes a slight ticking noise through monitor when turned up and baby moves. Very reassuring if baby sleeping quietly. If baby stops moving for any reason, it sets off an alarm within 20 seconds.
Worth every penny for the peace of mind it gives. | | John | 06/12/2002 13:05:04 |

| Tommee Tippee | Monitor 6 with Sensor Mat | I have found this sensor monitor a great purchase. It puts my mind at ease knowing if my baby does not move the alarm goes off. | Tomy | Walkabout Platinum Digital Monitor | The Tomy monitor was a godsend!! I had decided not to buy one as I live in a small (cosy!) house and thought it not necessary, but since I have set this up it has offered me total piece of mind that where ever I am I can hear the baby. The set up instructions are easy to follow and once you have charged it for the required 16 hours it is ready to go. There is no interference with the monitors and it offers clear sound even on a low volume. It provides a room temperature display which does not correlate with an existing room temperature I have, so the monitor temperature may not be that accurate. Although it has many other features such as a vibration option which is useful for when it is really noisy, I do feel that the other features are not really needed, it serves its main purpose as a good quality sound monitor and is simple to set up and use.

| Unbranded | Angel Monitor | The sensor pad part of the system is great but we have had lots of trouble with the parent monitor and the sound quality. We often hear a clicking noise ( not the tic that you can set the monitor for). The monitor is highly sensitive to other frequencies ( cordless phones, modems etc). Overall I would reccomend the product because it definitely gives peace of mind to new parents. | | Amy | 20/02/2007 18:26:04 |

| PHILIPS | SC475 Digital | I own one of the first models of this baby monitor. It works perfect. Only the battery management is very poor, it can't last during 1 night! It could be that this is resolved but that's a problem of this (first) model.
I would buy it again, never interference and very reliable!! | | Roy | 06/01/2003 08:41:08 |

| Tommee Tippee | Monitor 6 with Sensor Mat | The sensor mat was fantastic for the first 3 months, but when my baby started to sleep through, the alarm would sound two or three times during the night and my baby was still breathing, so it worried us for no reason. Our baby was very tiny when he was born so maybe that was why the mat worked better for the first three months as he fit on it properly. As he grew and filled out the crib more, the alarm would falsly sound. Also, the monitor has bad reception and batteries run out really quickly. | | Kirsty | 07/08/2009 17:32:38 |

| Unbranded | Lindham Clarity Video Monitor | Good but not great. I`ve tried so many baby monitors and can`t understand why there is not a great one out there! This one has no interference which is good (but this should be standard rather than a feature). The screen size is adequate except the picture on the box is impossible to obtain unless the camera is in the cot with the baby! Our little boy is very small in the middle and if he turns on his side we can`t really see him that clearly... and at the moment he is on the highest cot level. When he is on the bottom he`ll be even smaller. Also the receiving volume is adustable but the maximum is not loud enough for me. Cannot hear breathing, shuffling, coughs or general movements - only fairly loud crying which ~~I can hear without the monitor! Stand is a little flimsy but again adequate. The camera positioning adjustments could be better - you have to unscrew a plastic nut, move the camera then tighten the nut. Not ideal. Don`t want to take it back because at least I can see him ... but I do wish there was something better out there! Surely it cannot be that difficult to devise something that ticks the most important boxes. | | Cinnamon | 01/02/2009 13:26:36 |

| Tomy | Walkabout Platinum Digital Monitor | I bought this monitor last week as The one I had (Bt digital baby monitor plus)I dropped the parent monitor and I couldnt get it working again. So I hurried into Mothercare and I couldnt find the same one so I guess I went on the thought you get what you pay for and this Tomy one was £99. Its ok, easy to set up the sound is excellent. The grumbles I have with this is when the monitor is on there is no lights or indication to see that it is on so you end up constantly picking it up and checking if its still working/on. The other one is the lights to show noise are not sensitive enough. If the volume is low the baby would have to be at really upset stange before you would know they are awake and needing you. There is a vibration alert but that means it needs to be attached to yourself. I dont think I would recommend this one especially at this price. My BT one is/was much much better but they no longer do this item and have now updated it. | | Angelina, mum of 3 | 23/02/2008 09:49:58 |

| Tranwo | GigaAir Video Baby Monitor | Bought it on e-bay but seemed new. A lot of interference. They say it`s a colour monitor but that`s pushing it a bit. Quality of the image of ok but the life of batteries are extremely poor: I bought a pack x 4 Duracell and used the monitor twice in one day, not even with image always on: at the end of the day, the batteries were dead.... Very disappointing device for the price (even if I didn`t pay the price in shop. | | Flo | 12/03/2009 11:36:44 |

| Tranwo | GigaAir Video Baby Monitor | I bought a Boots branded over 18 months ago. Worked well, however was prone to interference especially if you have a wireless laptop around the monitor. The picture quality was good. The switch on the monitoring device was rotary and would get loose and you had to open the device up to screw it back now and again. Definately needs a separate switch. Overall the device is good, however after 18 months of continous use, it has stopped working (can`t get any picture). It is over-priced and boots support is terrible. | | Ans | 06/06/2007 18:09:14 |

| Summer Infant | BabyQuiet Video Baby Monitor | I`ve got to say I am very dissapointed with this product and also the customer services from summer. I bought this product when I had my daughter Sept last year (only started using it in dec). In June my daughter had gone to bed so I put it on, after an hour I noticed the plug was smoking and the plastic was melting! when I took it back they said it shouldn`t be left on for long periods...it was only on for an hour! what would,ve happened if it had been during the night while we were sleeping for 8 hours! I have contacted summer a number of times and have had no reply, explination or apology! | | c. naylor | 24/09/2009 07:47:48 |

| Tommee Tippee | Monitor 6 with Sensor Mat | Having read others peoples reviews on this product it has put my mind at rest. When my perfectly healthy baby girl was about 8 weeks old the alarm started to go off at irregular intervals causing me and my family great distress and worry. It got to the stage where I was begining to doubt my own judgement and unable to sleep at night. The alarm would sound I would run to the bedroom only to find my baby sound asleep. | Summer Infant | Deluxe Prenatal Heart Listening | Bought this shortly after I found out I was expecting my first child. After reading the instructions etc it explained how many babies can only be heard after around twenty one weeks. I am now 39 weeks pregnant and am still waiting for this machine to work. I can place the sensor pad onto my tummy and even though I can see the baby kick through my skin (quite hard) the monitor does not pick it up!! It explains that hiccups may be heard - I can feel the hiccups however no sound is heard through the monitor!! | Tomy | New Walkabout Premier Advance Monitor | Mine was rubbish! I sent it back. Not because of the annoying beeping alarm or the fact that the baby unit switches off if out of range for a few minutes but the so called 300 meter range turned out to be 20 metres line of sight!! | Tomy | Walkabout 2500 | I bought this monitor as it seemed like it had some good features, which is true but it has more bad features than good. It has a digital thermometer and a night light on the baby unit, which I have found helpful, and my son likes the reassurance of the night light. The monitor is sensitive and you can hear the smallest sounds which is good too. That is where the positives end though. It has a series of different beeps meaning different things, ie it will beep once every second if the baby`s room goes above 25`C (about 80`F), it will beep three times every few seconds if the monitor loses comtact, and so on. There is no way to limit the volume of the beeps and if you are in the next room from baby like many parents` rooms would be, it is loud enough to wake the baby. If baby`s room goes above 25`C, which isn`t hard (I live in Ireland and if it gets that hot there, it can get that hot almost anywhere!) baby can wear short pyjamas, but the monitor will not stop beeping. Your only option is to turn it off or get an air conditioner! We recently had a series of warm nights (and 25`C isn`t that hot!) and we ended up having to have the baby monitor switched off, because the beeping was keeping him awake. The other problem I have found is that it chews through batteries like nobody`s business which means you end up having to always have it plugged in. I started using ling life energizer batteries in the parent unit (and keeing baby`s unit plugged in near his cot) and they were only lasting 2 days at the very most and that is not even having the monitor on all the time! I have ended up replacing this monitor and I am disappointed because it seems like it has some great ideas, I just think it wasn`t designed by someone who has children. | | irishkiwi | 27/08/2005 11:02:16 |

| PHILIPS | SC475 Digital | Our SC475 is really a bad product: we have to try several times to get in touch withe the unit and the distance of 15 meters (!!!) is the maximun our babymonitor can reach. I"m very disappointed about this so-called hig-end product! | | Lieven | 20/08/2004 17:12:12 |

| PHILIPS | SBCSC365 | Just tried this monitor and I would rate it the worst ever. Where the previous Boots monitor we had provides a constant link so sounds such as a baby breathing can be heard, with the Phillips it seems to only transmit the sound when it reaches a certain sensitivity. Although this sensitivity can be changed I found even at it's most sensitive it was poor. eg I put the baby unit in a room with a TV turned on, I pointed the units microphone to the TV (with the volume at normal levels) and all I got on the parent unit was odd seconds of sound not a constant stream.
Thinking the model was faulty I swapped it for another but it was just the same. | | Kevin | 27/08/2003 11:27:03 |

| PHILIPS | Baby Cam | I bought one of these when my son was born in 2006, and it has been used daily ever since. We have found it invaluable, and despite it recently starting to become a little inreliable I would definitely recommend it, as I`m not sure if the unreliability may be our doing and not a fault of the product itself. | | HED | 27/01/2009 07:44:46 |

| Summer Infant | BabyQuiet Video Baby Monitor | The only problem with this product is you can pick up other monitors if used in the same street. Spookey if you are looking at someone else baby and not your own. | | Anon | 03/01/2009 08:47:26 |
