Fortunately we never put it to the test but on the occasions that ourdaughter moved off the sensor pad in her sleep, the alarm wentoff.

Excellent system that has a flat mat that lies under the baby mattress andsenses movement.
Makes a slight ticking noise through monitor when turnedup and baby moves. Very reassuring if baby sleeping quietly.
If baby stopsmoving for any reason, it sets off an alarm within 20 seconds.

Worth everypenny for the peace of mind it gives.
