| ETC | Saddle Cover With Extra Gel | Ride a 20 year old Raleigh womans bike every 6 weeks or so, and on the second day of cycling usually get a sore bum. Going on a cycling holiday and tried out this saddle cover this week-end. Easy to fit, comfortable, and minimised the second day sore bum problem. Ordered Thursday evening, paid for 1st class post, delivered saturday am, used sat pm, sun am and pm. What more could you ask for? | | Amazon Reviewer | 18/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Transglobal | LP Fitness Glove Size XL | These gloves feel lovely on. The design is so simple it makes you wonder why nobodys done it before. They fit perfectly because when you adjust them for size, the whole glove is adjusted, not just the wrist.
They feel very comfortable on and provide good grip. They were a bit strange at first because they are quite thick so dumb-bells and bar-bells feel different but it didnt take long to get used to.
Theyre also nice and warm on which is nice because its always freezing in my gym.
Id recommend these gloves to anyone. | | Amazon Reviewer | 12/12/2008 01:01:01 |

| Torch | Front High Beamer 5 White Led Light | I was split between this item and the new Smart Polaris 5 LED Front Cycle Light. Bought this one because I was getting front and back lights, and for less money as well.
My neighbour actually has the latter, we compared them in complete darkness and the front light is MILES brighter, also because of the ring around its edge, it is a lot more visible from a side and even from the back. It has light-narrowing technology so it is also a lot more useful in steady mode and can indeed be used as a substitute for normal bike light (the polaris LEDs are flashing all over the place).
The back light is just what is says on the tin - 3 flashing modes, nice and bright.
Only thing I could complain about was the fixing mechanism for the front light - although the same as for the Polaris light, I managed, having never installed anything like it before, to bend the little metal screw that tightens the plastic ring around the steering wheel, though it still holds solid.
Recommended. | | Amazon Reviewer | 25/09/2008 01:01:01 |

| Torch | Halogen Front and 3 LED Rear Light Set | Great item. Front and rear lights are bright enough for most needs I would say. Both the lights were easy to fit and I can clip them off in 2 seconds when I go into the office. Package arrived next day. I was really impressed especially for the price. I would buy from this company again! | | Amazon Reviewer | 18/09/2008 01:01:01 |

| Sigma | Bc1106dts 11 Function Wireless Computer | Pretty accurate speed readings, pretty rugged thus far, quite cheap. Im slightly worried the magnet or sensor might come off, but they appear to be quite hard to shift even going downhill fast on rough terrain on a mountain bike. Easy to set up, no nonsense. | | Amazon Reviewer | 05/09/2008 01:01:01 |

| Cateye | Strada Wireless Cycle Computer | First the obvious question- why pay more for wireless- in my experience they keep on working and the wired ones dont- so pay for the wireless!
This is the cutest, and best computer I have used (and there have been many) it is small, but the speed display is large and clear, the "button free" design is easy to use and the mounting kit is easy to install (you need cable cutters or good scissors, but that is it! and it appears largely interference free (despite carrying a mobile with bluetooth headset and using it, which would flood my previous one and stop it working while i talked). So apparently robust, easy to fit, works well clear and precise (to 0.1 mph) does anyone want more for the price!
Wiggle were good delivery BTW | | Amazon Reviewer | 20/07/2008 01:01:01 |

| Sigma | Bc1106dts 11 Function Wireless Computer | Just started cycling to work. Had been using my watch to time how long it was taking. Thought for the money this looked useful. Was initially doubtful as to whether I would get this to work, but it worked first time and immedietely. On the Sigma website there is a video showing you how to set this up. Even though its not difficult to put on your bike its always reasurring to see someone else do it, (if only they did this for flat pack furniture!).
There seems to be a spare rubber band which threw me at first. Also, youll need a knife or sharp instrument to lift the rubber seal on the sender unit in order to get the rubber band in. Then replace the seal. I wasnt sure how to do this at first as was worried about damaging the seal. In the manual theres a 2nd picture showing the magnet being attatched to the spoke. It looked like some sort of plastic strip was being used. God only knows what thats about. Just ignore that and follow the first diagram. Just a shame they dont have a text explanation with the diagrams in the manual. Also, I wish theyd seperated the different languges rather than have a all 5 together. I found it easier and quicker to highlight the English text. Especially for later reference. A useful feature is that the timer stops after approx 5 secs of inativity. In this way youre not penalised for traffic holdups.
Anyway, for the money it works exactly as stated and I would recommend it. One thing to note, you have to reset the times after every trip. Id forgotten to do so a couple of times only to find the times had been added to the prvious trip. | | Amazon Reviewer | 29/06/2008 01:01:01 |

| Unbranded | Rebound Stabilisers | My daughter has been battling with traditional stabilisers for well over a year. We decided to try these on her new bike, and after having them on her bike for just one day she has gained confidence and is zooming off on her own over rough ground and grass, which she refused to ride on with her old bike and stabilisers. I would really recommend them as the rider can still flex the bike from side to side as they ride and feel the natural movement of the cycle. | Unbranded | Bobike Mini Front Seat | I have this for my (small) 3 yr old son after cycling with him in a rear seat for ages. Its a much better experience all round. He can see where we are going and loves being `up front`. I feel safer as he is enclosed by my arms and so he can`t wriggle/move unexpectedly like he did in the rear seat. I dont` have to turn my head to see what he is doing or check if he is okay and in busy traffic thats ALOT safer! The bike actually seems to handle better with the weight up front as well, rather than dragging a heavy load. And of course it leaves the rack free for panniers so we can transport both of us plus a load or two of shopping. I think you`d still be able to fit a front basket as well. I bought the windscreen as well but havn`t fitted it yet! Its exceptionally easy to take on and off, a big bonus for me. I dont` have to have it permenantly attached to the bike. Once you`ve put the fitting piece on you simply slide the seat posts into the holes. The weight of the child keeps it firmly in place but remember to lock it in place with the lock provided if you are leaving it outside! Taking the seat on or off takes less than 30 seconds, and as the seat is small its possible to sling it over your shoulder to walk round town (when you forgot the seat lock) or to leave the seat at home when you aren`t transporting your child. Negatives It can affect your riding position a little, my knees had to bow out slightly to avoid hitting the seat but I only noticed this the first couple of rides Your child will be able to reach the brake levers Overall the best bike seat I`ve used | | RB | 13/05/2008 18:29:16 |

| Bikehut | Rechargeable Front LED Light and Desk Top Charger | Had mine for about two years now. Was out of action for a while after trying to use it after the summer last year. The light would not charge on the base or would charge for about two mins. and light would not come on. If you get this problem and your light is no longer covered by its warranty then it may be that water has got to the PCB. I just wiped the PCB with a soft cloth and it is now as good as new. | Specialized | Helix Team Glasses | I just purchased the Helix from Specialized. The description of its traits from Specialized is as advertised. The glasses are comfortable to wear, fitting around the ears and on the nose firmly and staying in place without the need for constant adjustment found on similar products. | Unbranded | Bobike Mini Front Seat | I just purchased the Bobike Mini for my 11 month old son a couple of days ago off of Craigslist.com. Our first bike ride together was great! He enjoyed every minute of it and it was great being able to share the experience with him sitting in front instead of behind me. The seat was very stable and secure and easy to install and use. The seat does prevent me from straddling the bike with my feet on the ground at a stop, but that will be the issue with any front mounted seat I think. Plus, it`s only a minor inconvenience and I can lean over and put one foot on the ground at a stop. I didn`t experience a problem with pedaling as I`ve read with some other front-mounted seats. I`m very happy with my purchase. I bought the windshield too and it`s a little closer than I`d like, but it`s not a big deal. By purchasing an extra mounting bracket, it`s supposed to be easy to move the seat to another bike in seconds. I plan on doing that so my wife and son can ride together too! I highly recommend the Bobike child seat to anyone wanting to share a more interactive bike riding experience with their child. | | www.thebeanbar.com | 03/07/2007 09:05:25 |

| Unbranded | Rebound Stabilisers | they only fit a small range of cycle sizes sadly as they arean`t terribly adjustable but they fitted my dd`s bike perfectly and were rugged enough for her to cycle with us on woodland trails. We took them off this week and she rode without them right away, no fuss no nothing which I would atribute to the fact that they have been letting her lean and wobble and learn to balance gently all last summer until be be honest they were there to keep the bike upright when she got off rather than when she was on it! | | T-Bird Anni | 07/05/2007 08:47:32 |

| Unbranded | Rebound Stabilisers | i bought two sets of these, one for my son who at the age of 9 has only just started to ride a bike, they looked trendy and to be honest they are fantastic, there was not problem in fitting them on, even though he has a five speed mountian bike, once he found his balance on the bike he was like a duck to water, even cornering at speed was not a problem, once he got on his bike i could not get him off. i took him and my 2 1/2 year old daughter away to a camp site, they were well impressed by the design of them and they did not look out of place on his mountian bike. As for my daughter if i she could take her bike to bed she would, her confidence is so high thanks to them. no other stabiliser comes close to what these are. Highly Recommend them, im on the look out for more sets for my friends children? | | Nigel A Martin | 23/08/2006 13:21:07 |

| Snafu | WTP Everlast Fork 14mm | This fork is designed for those who break things. If you like a light dainty bike these are not for you, even though the tubing is fluted they weigh a ton. and will make your bike feel a lot different especially if you are runnin a longer top tube on your frame. I have pulled huge drops to flat, bailed on many a rail and crashed on a few trails and they have stood up perfectly with nary a bend or crack. If you are tired of replacing forks and are willing to hit the gym a bit to throw the extra wieght around than I highly recommend these forks | | the | 29/07/2006 21:43:22 |

| Bikehut | Rechargeable Front LED Light and Desk Top Charger | This is a 100% brilliant product. Cant fault it in anyway. Only thing I gotta say is if you happen to see someone coming toward you (on a bike) who looks like their sheepishly playing a game of chicken with your bike, they`ve most likely seen your appraching LED light and somehow mistaken it for a more distant car on the road, as at about 3m to impact they will jump out of their skin as you (the rider) imurges from the misleading glare. I`ve been on both ends of this encounter, so it cant be too uncommon with LEDs as people arent used to seeing them.

| Pro Action | Deluxe Pannier Set | Excellent value for money panniers. Sturdy construction with useful pockets. I have tried many of the `high end` brands and their is very little difference apart from the huge cost you pay for their name. If these are correctly installed you will have no problems. One design flaw is they can potentially bounce off particularly when lightly loaded on bumpy roads due to no securing attachment so I tied mine on and problem solved. For a half or more of the price of a top brand, I can live with it. Overall a great buy. | | bikenut | 22/04/2009 20:24:01 |

| Unbranded | Spokey Joe Topp Trailer | I bought one of these for my 2 young kiddies and they love it. It attaches to the bike with ease and is very safe when attached. It also has 2 full, 5 point harness`s which holds the kids very safe. Once connected to your bike the trailer is very easy to ride with and gets through the smallest of gates on cycle paths etc. A really good buy if u need to keep on the move and the trailer folds completely flat and the wheels are quickly released for ease of storage. Or you can just strap your fishing bag onto the seat and take an easy stroll to the river. lovely jubbly. | | Dean M | 10/07/2008 18:59:39 |

| Bikehut | Rechargeable Front LED Light and Desk Top Charger | The light is great, and that is about it: The mounting is terrible. Mine got stuck on my bike handle frame, the `quick release` decided to wear out, so there was no way to get it off. The lever to release the light broke off. The batteries do not seem to fit inside for some reason, like one battery appears to be slightly smaller than the rest, and is loose in the compartment - not touching the contacts, you have to get the order of batteries in right. The rechargeable station did not work, brand new I put the light into the charger, the indicator came on quickly telling me it had charged 80%, but I left it on for the recommended 4 hours. Within 10 minutes of use the `low level battery` light came on. Put the batteries in a proper charger afterwards and they work properly. | | James | 20/12/2007 13:03:46 |

| Pro Action | Deluxe Pannier Set | Well made and roomy but when I attached these to a rear carrier made by the same company, I noticed after not very long the carrier fixing screws had worn holes in the bags,a case of bad design, screw caps or a recess would have solved this problem. | | RECYCLED | 27/08/2003 11:22:21 |

| Blackburn | EX2 Rear Rack | The EX2 is very adjustable and fits easily to give a very stable platform for bags and panniers. The gleaming silver finish however soon marked from putting on / removing panniers and the lack of a rear light mounting provision is an annoying oversight. The main reason for rating this rack only 2 though is that after 4 years of lightish use (on a road bike so no heavy loads), one of the welds where the side tubes join near the bottom attachment point has fractured.
I`ve now replaced the Blackburn with Tubus` hollow steel `Cargo` which is lighter and stronger with a far superior finish, albeit more expensive. Still, yer pays yer money..... | | Dobman | 29/07/2006 21:41:39 |

| Unbranded | Rebound Stabilisers | I bought from local Halfords as no Argos Extra store in my town. As yet I haven"t fitted to my child"s bike despite trying for over an hour! The instructions make it sound so easy but if they don"t fit first time you have to mess about changing bits all over the place. | | not so | 21/05/2005 06:36:29 |

| Energizer | Halogen Front & Rear Cycle Lights | this set of lights is not very powerfull at only 1.25 watts, and can make it hard to cycle quickly as it doesn't show the road ahead further than about 3 metres. If you are looking for a powerful light to see exactly what is around you, this is not it. | | Tom Fitz | 18/11/2003 13:24:58 |

| Unbranded | Vento Track Pump | Finding it very difficult to work out how to set up the valve so it fits a Presta. Pretty useless if you ask me | | Gary | 02/10/2008 08:09:19 |

| Bikehut | Rechargeable Front LED Light and Desk Top Charger | Just taken this light back to Halfords. The guy in the shop told me I was doing something wrong and that the light was easy to fit. After 20 mins of trying to get the piece of rubbish setup he put the bits back in the bag and gave me my money back . I`m now waiting for my new `Fenix L1D Q5 LED Torch 120 Lumens from 1 AA Battery` to come in the post. I`ll fit it on with a `Twofish Lockblocks Flashlight Holder Bicycle Torch Mount`. I`m very exited! Hope this helps anyone on the look out for a great way to fit lights to your bike . | | JJ | 11/05/2008 08:05:06 |

| Unbranded | Vento Track Pump | Yes. I have one of these and was quite excited to think that it would be quick and easy to pump up our 4 family bike tyres. However, it just doesnt seem to do the job on our standard bike valves. I spent a couple of hours trying to see if I was doing anything wrong but I cant see why its not working. It pumps up footballs, lilos etc, but maybe a different adapter is required for standard valves??? | | Tony | 27/02/2008 09:17:38 |

| Canyon | Mega Screen Cycle Computer | Just installed on hybrid, maybe I need time to get used to it but first impressions are that its totally useless. I want to check the speed and the mph seems to be reading ok for a while and then it starts flashing all sorts of numbers up. Difficult to set up, I would not recommend this equipment | | Martin | 04/02/2008 10:01:02 |
