what is the difference between ceramic and tourmaline hair straighteners?
In ceramic hair straighteners, the plates are made of ceramic materials. Ceramic protects your hair because it emits gentle "infra-red heat", helping lock in moisture and prolong hair color.
Tourmaline has similar properties, but tourmaline hair straighteners give a shinier, silkier result than regular ceramic hair straighteners in less time.
Infrared tourmaline is a natural source of negative ions and far infrared (FIR) rays. It is known to be helpful for improving circulation, relieving stress, increasing mental alertness and strengthening the immune system function.

what is the difference between ceramic and tourmaline hair straighteners? i`m not completely agree, i`ve been using the tourmaline for more than year and the result was great but when i started to dye my hair it was horrible like a wig, i thought that my flat iron was too old and i bought a new with ceramic plates (same brand) and really changed my hair, now is far so silky and shiny. Googling i found the answer: tourmaline is better for thicker and curlier hair and ceramic for damaged hair. Agree or Disagree?
