how to cut a waste pipes in laminate flooring?
Assuming the waste pipe is attached to something and you can`t drill a hole to slot the board over the pipe you`ll need to drill a whole then cut the board from the nearest edge to the whole you`ve drilled. Leaving a U shaped gap.
Make sure to measure (twice) both the size of the whole and the distance from the wall then use a drill bit one or two mm up from the size of the pipe.
Use the thinnest saw blade you can (junior hacksaw would be best) and then you should be able to replace the section you`ve cut out.
If you can match the colour of the floor to some no-more-nails (or similar) you could stick this section back in to hide the hole. What do you think?

Floormaster AquaLock laminate flooring. Canadian Elm. Any problems ?
I bough Floormaster AquaLock Canadian Elm laminate flooring for my room and I got the biggist headache I have ever had. I have laid 6 Richard Burrows floors without a single problem, but I bought this Floormaster floor in B&Q and its a disaster. Joints donl lock on either short or long ends. Some boards are a different colour. I have carefully checked all Batch numbers, deckor numbers and bar codes. Everything checks out. I have had 2 tradesmen in to look at it and they agree that I have a serious problem. What do you think?

can you use bissell floor cleaners on laminate flooring?
Bissell do make a laminate floor cleaner but if that`s not the one you have I wouldn`t recommend using a carpet cleaner on a laminate floor. Laminate flooring is easily damaged by excess water which can make the boards swell and split. What do you think?

how tough is laminate flooring?
It`ll depend on the brand. Some are designed to be more accident proof than other (cheaper) ones. Standard stuff can resist everyday stuff (pots, bags etc) being dropped on it though.
Hammer`s dropped from about 6 feet up will damage it though (I found that out myself). What do you think?
