No - planning permission is not required for this type of structure, provided is is clear from your neighbours boundary wall and doesn`t block out any light - which I`m quite sure that it wouldn`t.   Agree or Disagree?

The answer is not normally, unless:
1. It is within 2m from the boundary
2. You live in a conservation area
3. Your climbing frame is higher than 13ft
If any of the 3 above apply, then the answer is yes.
The rules are quite clear, but some local authorities do interprete them in their own way. Best advice is let your neighbours know hat you are doing and get them to agree, and you should never have any problems.
