I got the Tomtom ONE also for Christmas! Cost $400. (US), but can be got
for $300. everywhere now. I see most `accessories` are for the Tomtom GO,
or other more expensive GPS`s. LOVE IT, LOVE IT, LOVE IT! I got fired
from my job doing in home therapy, where I used it every day.
Not too much extras available for the ONE. Oh well. I do want to
purchase the AC Home Charger. Shop around for this, as I`ve seen it
fluxuate from $25. to $30., sometimes with shipping
extra.

A year on from its launch and I finally got one for myself at xmas. I`ll
be needing this for my job as I will be doing a lot of driving around the
country, although so far I have only tested it locally. Instructions are
very clear, the screen is fine despite it`s smaller size, plus you can
even get John Cleese to guide you to your destination! No mains charger
included in the pack is a smart move to keep the price down - personally I
wouldn`t need one. However, a subscription is needed to get the speed
(safety?) camera warning system installed. Probably a good idea if you are
driving in an area you are unfamiliar with...

My tomtom ONE was my Christmas present for myself - no more getting lost
in lanes/arriving late/etc. It is my first sat nav system, and I could
not be more delighted. Have only tested it locally in rural area so far,
but it has not lost me and directions are very clear.
Bear in mind:
1) no mains charger supplied, bit annoying if you want to play with it and
try out settings etc at home! You can get one for around £10 but beware
of power output it is easy to cook your tomtom
2) supplied 128MB card is not enough if you want to add special features
like other voices, etc get a 256MB card for around £10
3) there is quite an industry now of folk stealing these from cars never
leave it visible, nor the supplied mount. Many people use velcro/blu tac
etc to secure it which leaves no tell-tale ring on the windscreen
4) an unmarked carry case is safer than the (expensive) tomtom one which
you have to buy at around £30!

There are many sites offering POIs (point of interest) which you can load
and which enhance usefulness of this wonderful piece of kit. No need to
pay for POIs. Look at www.mytomtomgo.com for much helpful
advice.
