| Teac | W600R | Having recently purchased one of these Cassette Decks(from a branch of Richer Sounds) I have found it easy to use, having all the features I need, without any superfluous `gimmicks` The sound quality, through my Pioneer AV Receiver, and Sharp Speakers is very good. Playback of up to 20 year old cassettes is excellent, and recordinq quality very good, provide care is taken with setting the level, which must be adjusted manually. Both channels` levels are adjusted simultaneously, there being no provision to seperately adjust RH & LH recording level Controls are logically laid out, and easy to use. No Pause control is fitted on deck 1, which would be useful, although there is one on deck 2. The only shortcomings of which I am aware are (1)it has no microphone inputs, altough a microphone could almost certainly be use via a suitable preamp. The lack of features such as `Record Mute` limit it to some extent, but all in all I would rate it as a very good product | | Nortonian | 19/01/2009 14:42:53 | | |
| | Teac | V1050 | I have a love hate relationship with this machine. I love the sound, and quality of recordings. Hands down, better than any machine I have ever used. More so that my Revox B215, Advent 201A, Nakamichi 600. I hate, that the heads are so hard to get too, I hate that is is made out of cheap plastic and weighs next to nothing. Whatever happen to build quality? Every time I do to use I think to myself, `how long is thing going to last?` Well see. | | Old Hi-Fi Nut | 02/02/2006 09:29:24 | | |
| | YAMAHA | KX580SE | This is a fantastic piece of Hi-Fi. The tapes remain remarkably close to the original. I have been equally impressed with my Yamaha CD (493) deck. The beauty of this tape deck is there is nothing added or taken away from the sound. It is just as the producer intended it.If you want to do some home recordings on tape, this deck will benifit you the most. As old recordings are limited by the machine that produced them. I bought this deck for the future, and I intend get a top notch new record player and amplifier to go with it. The Yamaha equipment is great value and worth the investment if you love your music the way it was performed! | | S. Wilkie | 29/05/2007 08:10:59 | | |
