Having recently purchased one of these Cassette Decks(from a branch of Richer Sounds) I have found it easy to use, having all the features I need, without any superfluous `gimmicks` The sound quality, through my Pioneer AV Receiver, and Sharp Speakers is very good. Playback of up to 20 year old cassettes is excellent, and recordinq quality very good, provide care is taken with setting the level, which must be adjusted manually. Both channels` levels are adjusted simultaneously, there being no provision to seperately adjust RH & LH recording level Controls are logically laid out, and easy to use. No Pause control is fitted on deck 1, which would be useful, although there is one on deck 2. The only shortcomings of which I am aware are (1)it has no microphone inputs, altough a microphone could almost certainly be use via a suitable preamp. The lack of features such as `Record Mute` limit it to some extent, but all in all I would rate it as a very good product
