| Sony | CFDE100LS | very modern looking,yet very easy to use.
quite a compact unit but pretty weighty...good build quality
best thing is the sound...goes very loud and has a good sharp sound
let alone when you use the bass setting, gives it an extra kick
have played with rock cds and dance ones
i think its worth 5/5

| Pioneer | CDJ1000 MK 3 | I first encountered these babies whilst DJing at M.O.S, didnt have much time to get au fait that night, even so worked well with rock solid build and fantastically stable, just what a DJ looks for. Sound quality not bad at all, Im sure that will improve with pioneers next instalment of the range. I have played with since that night and yes, they are "THE BEST OF THE BEST" today at least, thats why they are industry standard. | | Amazon Reviewer | 31/08/2008 01:01:01 |

| Pioneer | PDM426 | Until now, I have used a carousel style multi CD changer. I liked my previous model, a Technics, very much but the time had come to replace it and a previous buyers review made me opt for this type instead.
It is smaller in depth than the carousel models and therefore would fit better into most racks or cabinets. It is easy to set up. I used my existing leads to save unplugging them from the amplifier. The unit has a fixed power cable. Leads, remote, batteries for remote are all supplied.
I would recommend buying an additional cartridge. Loading discs into a cartridge takes longer than dropping them into a carousel and it is nice to have programme 2 ready for when program 1 has finished. One thing to be aware of: discs need to be fitted into the cartridge playing side up, not label side up. This takes a little getting used to if you are used to a unit where the discs are inserted label side uppermost.
I have only just taken delivery of this unit and already, I am really pleased I have it. Recommended. | | Amazon Reviewer | 11/05/2008 01:01:01 |

| Nad | C542 | The pictured item and item described in the technical details is a NAD C352 amplifier, not the C542 CD player
Superb amp, I have one myself, but youll be a little suprised if an amp turned up when you ordered a CD player!
5 stars because you have to post a rating, and thats what the amp deserves :) | | Amazon Reviewer | 09/05/2008 01:01:01 |

| Sony | CDPCX355 | Listening to one or the the other of two right now. Great way of exploring deep recesses of my collection. My wife is less than enthusiastic about "punk" but will tolerate one track before expecting a Van Morrison reply! Great way of maxamising our Cd collection. Using two machines on"No delay mode" without any problems. Only thing to ensure is a fair balance between both machines as they alternate between each other when both set to random play all tracks. really great in the MP3 or MP4 world, there is nothing to beat CD quality and 600 Cds to choose any track at random! | | Amazon Reviewer | 24/02/2008 01:01:01 |

| Sony | SCDXE597 | I have used this player for about 6 months now. Even with normal CDs it is a pretty impressive sound. With SACD surround sound it is excellent value. | | Amazon Reviewer | 02/10/2007 01:01:01 |

| Sony | CDPCX355 | I had two goes at buying reconditioned or as new from the amazon market place to try and save a few pounds both suffered from the often reported jamming of disks where the only option is to whip the lid off to retrieve the CD jammed in the deck. Thankfully both returned my cash after picking up the machine. I had one more try and bought a new one...perfect no trouble so far and I generally leave it on shuffle all tracks on all disks so the deck and changing mechanism work pretty hard. Good machine well worth the money but go for a new one. | | Amazon Reviewer | 14/11/2006 01:01:01 |

| Harman Kardon | HD750 | This is a great player - really clear sound and no nonsense controls. Reports of noisy mechanisms and failures to read slightly scratched disks aren`t born out by my experience. This is a quality player - at least mine is! | | Sam | 12/03/2008 11:56:22 |

| Pioneer | PDF1009 | Originally purchased the Sony CDP-CX355 300 CD Changer, but had nothing but trouble with the unit, and its replacement. It was rubbish, and so was Sony support! I have had this unit for two weeks now, playing almost non stop on random to test it, and it has been faultless. 10/10 so far. | | Amazon Reviewer | 22/02/2007 01:01:01 |

| Acoustic Solutions | SP120 | I bought an Acoustic Solutions SP120 new about 18 months ago for £70. It has a pretty good sound for the price, and I`ve never had any problems with it. It is quite basic. Good points are: Program, Random play and Digital Out. Bad points: The remote control does not come as standard and is quite expensive to buy. | | Nobby | 27/11/2006 10:25:16 |

| SONY | CDXDAB6650 | Very good, interfaced with Nissan wheel controls with an adaptor no problem, DAB is suprisingly much better in most big towns and motorways and only using the screen aerial, ATRAC gives around 300 tracks on a CD and the quality is pretty good too. For the price it gives a very good account of its self. | | Anon | 17/11/2006 17:37:42 |

| Nad | C521BEE Titanium | Richard from Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, USA. The NAD C521BEE is a find sounding player. Very open and clear with detail. I`m using this source into an old Adcom GTP 400 preamp into the Adcom GFA 535 through Ascend Acoustics` CBM-170SE bookshelf speakers. The inexpensive cost of this CD player adds to it`s attractiveness. Definitely a best buy!

| Marantz | CD5400 OSE gold | The Marantz CD5400 is both the best and the worst player I could have opted for when I first dipped my toe into the world of High Fidelity.
I say it`s the best because it is such a damned good CD player, with astonishingly good reproduction. The clarity it provides is amazing. I was previously using a Denon DM30 system which I thought was good, but as soon as got the Marantz kit it was so much better it blew me away.
The reason I also said it was also the worst player is, I don`t want to turn it off. It really is that good. It just goes to show that low cost and high quality isn`t just a pipe dream.
It`s the biggest bargain I ever bought and it opened my eyes as to how good the music I was playing really should sound.

| DENON | DCD685 | Denon dcd-685 is a well built, smooth sounding cd player with clear treble and well controlled bass but it can sometimes sound a bit top end heavy but that may be my speakers. It may also be the dacs used as they are very detailed and clean witch can make some cds sound somewhat bright.
Overall though a top notch player. | | happy hifi nut | 14/11/2002 21:35:57 |

| Pioneer | PDF1009 | A very good unit if you have a large collection and want them all hidden away. I have had mine for 3 yrs and never known it not play or have problems playing a CD inc RW. Sound quality is very good also, I run it through a Bose system. | | Oakley Red | 19/03/2005 19:25:59 |

| SONY | CDP-CX355 | This product is amazing quality and value for money.
The ability to stack 300 seperate CD's into the player and play them all either in groups, singularly or on random is a complete bonus. I wondered first whether the quality of the CD reader would be dodgy and the ability to play CD's that were slightly scratched or used would be limited. Instead I have been massively impressed by the quality of the CD playing.
There's so much to write about with this product. It needs to be bought and sampled to really appreciate. If you are a music lover and don't mind a rather large but excellent quality CD Juke Box - then this product is definitely up your street! | | Rob | 15/08/2003 09:17:31 |

| DENON | DCD685 | Well built and good looking player offering a smooth and detailed sound.
Quite a 'laid back' presentation - not as lively sounding as some other budget players. But partnered with the right I/Cs and speakers, very satisfying. | | Mike | 09/12/2002 21:56:23 |

| Nad | C521i | I have a C521i driven by a Yamaha RX 777 amp. In short, it's superb, for the money.
It stood out head and shoulders above anything else I auditioned, including several more expensive units. It has presence in abundance, detail and brilliant separation.
If I had a (very) minor gripe, I would say it was a little light on bass, (probably a consequence of its precision) but a set of monster cables has set this right.
In terms of value for your hard-earned money, this is a winner. | | Dave Hansford | 31/07/2002 09:38:45 |

| SONY | CDXDAB6650 | It was a bit of a disappointment, couldn`t get many DAB stations, only one I`d listen to from about 10! Sound quality is very good for the price, but the removable front is loose after 6 months or so. It was easy to fit, but perhaps trying to do too much for the price. | | Lewis | 08/02/2008 18:24:16 |

| PHILIPS | CD753 | I remain unsure as to the quality of this player. Also has trouble playing some CDRs, mainly those with a silvery back(if it's blue its OK). Features good, but through my marantz pm4000 sound is too thin, with treble becoming pretty nasty at high volumes. | | nickyblackmarket | 24/03/2003 12:09:14 |
