A GOOD GAME, BUT TO BE HONEST, MY FOUR CHILDREN STILL PREFER THE ORIGINAL VERSION!
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 09Mar2009 | | | This version is the updated UK one, with latest street names, updated prices, and credit cards! The children loved it. I was glad we did not get the world version as that would not have been to our liking.
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 02Mar2009 | | | This has brought Monopoly into the 21 century! It is brilliant fun for all the family, the electronic element is just like using a credit card and saves time. Thus the game is quicker to play than the original. Highly recommend for all ages.
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 14Feb2009 | | | Obviously a very attractive game for two girls aged 11 and 8. The credit cards and the `calculator` are good fun and very high tech. As only a recent purchase, no idea yet how durable the calculator will be. Also, no maths practice for the banker as they dont have to use their brain as the calculator does all the hard work. The increase in prices and the different streets for sale is amusing for the old parents!
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 09Feb2009 | | | The Monopoly Here and Now editionMonopoly Here & Now Electronic Editionis a brilliantly updated version of the original, it loses none of its universal appeal and my son and I, age 11, have thoroughly enjoyed playing this version of the game.
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 30Jan2009 | | | The world has gone mad, Im 26 and I would say I learnt a lot through many of these old games which required a little brain workout. Buy the classic version; its great fun and youll actually get to use some brain power :)
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 15Dec2007 | | | This is quite a genious way of playing, it stops cheating, stops people hiding there money under the board and most of all makes you realise that monopoly is just as fun without the paper money! I got this thinking it will not have the same feel as the original yet in some ways it can be a lot more fun...meaning you can be a little bit more devious when you play : ) Great buy and a great present!
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 21Nov2007 | | | We bought this game,as a family game for christmas, but christmas came early, too many cold and wet afternoons!!! We have played this game again and again, we really havent missed all the sorting of money etc.The only downside to this game is, that if your family get impatient when playing, you really do need a seperate banker! It is quite educational, even though it uses credit cards and a calculator/card machine, it still teaches the basics of money ie; if you havent got it, dont spend it! It really is a great version of the classic, with a modern twist. Also with the box we had you had a chance to win £1000!!
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 13Nov2007 | | | I thought that with the so many different Monopolys out recently, this one would slip by unnoticed. But I was really wrong!
This is a great version, in my eyes by far the best. It uses credit cards which keep track of the money you own, and includes a credit machine which you use to add or subtract money from your accounts. Children will love to tap in the controls on the credit card machine, it looks quite like a PIN machine.
Also, inflation has finally caught up with Monopoly, with the whole value of money changing. Ownership of the exclusive Kensington Palace Gardens (previously Mayfair) will set you back a cool 2million pounds.
A great improvement on the old version, there are no negatives about it!
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 13Sep2007 | | | I bought this at xmas, as a present to all of us. It is soooo much easier, without all the money lying round, of course the man of the house wanted to be the banker! But within minutes was bored of the idea of putting cards in n out of the machine, n giving em back to the right person, as the game moves a lot quicker, seen as there is actually no passing money around the board. We all thoroughly enjoyed playing this version, as I hated monopoly, just because of the setup time, and sorting all the money out, id be bored before we started, but this is a lot easier. Highly recommended to any Monopoly fan!
