Always on the look out for new board games that a young family (kids 3 - 8) can play together, I remembered this game from earlier editions years ago. A simple but stimulating strategy game for kids, it has attractive artwork and an appealing fantasy element. Players have object cards which dictate what they must find, and in what specific order, in the Labyrinth. The moving maze is the key element, which gives players control over the configuration of the game board on their turn. This demands lateral thinking, planning and forecasting and the ability to adjust and adapt as the game unfolds. Oh...and the kids enjoy it! Rules can be adapted to speed up the game or to alleviate frustration, by seeking objects in any order, giving choice at each turn. To give an indication of taste our kids also like Cluedo, Carcassone and Escape from Atlantis (an oldie) .

I am so pleased this game is still available.
I have had this game since it first came out in the 80s. It is just brilliant. My board is still in full working order and it has been played so many times over the years.
I have just introduced it to my friends and their children and I am pleased to say 3 were ordered from Amazon the very next day.
Just goes to show the success of the game. Only 2 rules and the ability for children and adults to play together at different difficulty levels allows fun for all.
Working out routes is also great for keeping those little grey cells in working order. And not a TV, DVD, or computer game in sight.
Fabulous.

This is an incredible game that is as good for adults as children. The design is so simple and yet its very well made and durable.
There are many, many avenues for strategy and clever game play. It really does make you think. Its so refreshing to find something of this calibre in these days of electronic games and gimickery.

We were introduced to this game by our Twinning family in Germany and throughly enjoyed the fun and frustration, the skill and the possibility of being really nasty once you realise what your opponents need. It is an important element of their family evenings.
When we got home we bought the game and have had great fun with adult friends (all pensioners) and with our grandchildren. The rules are easy to master and the game can be quite fiendish.

Having played at different times with grand children aged 6-10 and 18-25, we found it versatile and challenging - strategies had to be carefully thought out and adapted to a changing path. Rules were a minimum and it was not too long, providing fun for all. The 34 loose tiles forming the play board and could be easily mislaid. It made our games evenings and can be readily recommended

Dont be put off by the artwork on the box lid which seems aimed at young children. Hidden inside is a great board game which will stretch the keenest of minds and make you really think. We have played this as a family (ages 13 to 50+) dozens of times without getting bored. Its sometimes fiddley to get the pieces to slide past each other and the base board has warped slightly but everything is well made and should last well with care. Highly recommended!

The rules can be picked up in about 5 minutes. Each game is fast fun and fiendishly adictive. The games I played were enjoyed by 3 generations of the same family around the table on Christmas day 2008. I thoroughly recommend this brilliantly simple yet at the same time complex game.

I bought this game for my niece last Christmas. She still insists we play it every time I see her. Its fun, strategic and whats more you can limit how long it takes to play by only dealing out half the cards. Its a great game to share because everyone - from gran downwards - really enjoys playing it. A game you wont regret buying, and its not full of plastic tat!

This is a brilliant family game for 2 to 4 people. You can play with a couple of cards if you only have 5 minutes, or deal out all the cards if you have more time. Its a think-ahead game, and the kids absolutely love it (especially as they win a lot). If youre looking for another classic family game - this could definitely be the one.

Have owned this game for a few years and the family have not tired of it at all. It has simple rules, is great fun, quick to play and different every time. The illustrations on the game cards are lovely and it is made of very good quality board. It is a really satisfying game although can be a little frustrating at times when you are thwarted by someone elses move! Id say it is suitable for age 6 and up and my teenagers still enjoy it (as do the parents).

I bought this game for my 10 year old, chess mad son after reading the reviews. I was not disappointed, we have played it loads of times, with various age children and everyone has enjoyed playing, including the grown ups. It is a very simple concept, go around the board and collect the treasure shown on your cards, except that the labyrinth keeps moving! Just when you have lined up a pathway, someone else moves it - aghh, the frustration! But also makes you think two or three moves ahead. A great game, well worth the investment.
