| Raleigh | P1000 Ladies | I like this bike because there`s no crossbar. My last bike had a crossbar and my .... were forever gettin` a smack off the bar. Painful. | | Anon | 20/08/2009 07:45:39 |

| Universal | 26 Wheel Mantis | I just bought this bike for £189.99 for halfors, very good bike had it for 7 months and not had a single problem with it. Gets used daily for 4 mile and sometimes on the bike track down the road. This bike is good and reliable. | | Anon | 20/01/2008 17:36:32 |

| Universal | 26 Wheel Mantis | i have just bought this bike and i have had no problems what so ever , i wouldnt recommend buying this bike for heavy long distance riding. but overall it is a great getting to work everyday , i would reccomend taking the bike to your local halfords or JJB to have a full bike check. i would give this bike a 3 as it has good perfomance and decent suspention , and as for the other rating of the bike , the bounce expiercne is to the owner not adjusting the rear suspenstion coil as it can be adjusted for road or off-road. | | adam | 04/02/2008 10:00:45 |

| Universal | 26 Wheel Mantis | I would strongly recommend against buying this bike. I bought one brand new and with daily use on road only it was worn out within 3 months! Specifically, the frame lost a vital connecting bolt holding the 2 main parts together (possibly not even present when delivered, you assume something this vital would be present – so either a manufacturing or design fault), the chain fell off frequently (twice on my first trip which hardly inspired confidence in my new purchase, chain already fitted and didn’t require user adjustment), finally the left pedal stem fell off (it had worked it"s way off of it"s fixing - this is already assembled before delivery) oh and the gearing never worked properly - awful "twist handlebar gear-shifting" that if (when) it goes wrong is all hidden away and not user serviceable. I never liked the rear suspension either - it gives you a "bouncing up and down feeling" when you"re pedaling on a flat service - I don"t know if this is normal for rear suspension or just the result of cheap engineering which this bike has in spades. I"ve had hard tailed Universal mountain bikes before that I couldn"t fault for the price (my last one was stolen, prompting this purchase from a well known mail order company). This bike was not only shoddy and a waste of money, but potentially dangerous with it"s faults. I see it"s dropped drastically in price (hmmm) but don"t be tempted! | | MikeMK | 20/08/2004 17:12:22 |
