Worx14.4V Cordless DrillI`ve owned my Worx WX14DD for about 4 years now, It has taken a fair amount of punishment over that time and it has never missed a beat. One of the two batteries has now pancaked and won`t hold a charge, but given the bargain price I paid I`m still delighted with this piece of kit and rate it well above any B&D that I`ve ever owned. 5 out of 5JoeGeee of16/06/2009 14:47:28

AEGSB2E18STXAbsolutely the the best driver I have ever had. Had it 3 years and holds power for ages before charging..used driver for 2 days went on holiday for 2 weeks and was still fully charged. BLACK & DECKERHP9096I Have owned this product for aprox 6 Yrs. I was a profesional joiner by trade carrying out final fix jobs and Maintenance works.Ideal for awkward areas (below kitchen units in restrictive areas) this tool was ideal if used with the snap fix type drill and bit atachments. Sadly the cells (not a battery pac) are not holding charge now. I`m seeking replacement cells for my HP9096 as this is a usefull tool (my other drills makita/dewalt although good; is more cost efficient to buy a new replacement product) If someone knows a supplier of the cells please forward info using this page 5 out of 5Ian "Chunky" Calow07/10/2008 07:30:40

Worx18V Cordless Hammer DrillAs a contractor my tools a my bread and butter they have to perform! The first Worx 18v drill I bought 3 years ago has held up to the job of everyday use some time doesn`t have the power I need but that what my D****ts are for. Its the only cordless drill I Carry in my Truck. You need to let battery go all the way down before charging them, they`ll last longer. For the price you can`t beat them!! 5 out of 5MB13/09/2008 10:17:59

Makita8413DWDEI bought my makita 8413d combi drill about 2 years ago after several previous drills I had bought that were budget drills that were short lived but the makita is a great tool its well balanced with plenty of power compaired to my previous 24 volt drill it puts it to shame in impact mode i havent found a job yet it couldnt do ok I am a heavy diy user not a profesional but it most certainly is a profesional tool great for large wood and steel drilling and great for driving screws too the single handed chuck is a great benefit too I have been so impressed I now also own the impact driver and drill driver too if your after a drill built to last in my opinion you cant go wrong with this drill or any other product that makita sell the price fits the life of the drill. 5 out of 5baz18/03/2008 09:09:08

Worx14.4V Cordless DrillI agree with these comments you people have given above, but Worx is not the only piece of junk because there are other products just like these Worx chinese tools that are also another piece of junk. I have been foolish enough to buy the chinese products just because they are cheaper and not buy the good expensive tools just because they are not affordable. Well I tell you people that the good expensive products that are not affordable should not stop you from buying they. Always do the best you can to own better products. By the way there are good Lithium Ion Cordless drills which are the most expensive ,but it is worth buying it 5 out of 5Rubbish tools06/12/2006 07:20:10

BLACK & DECKERHP188F2BI bought this drill in 2004 and have had no problems with it. The hammer drill function is nothing to brag about but it`s not a real hammer drill any way. The batteries just recently shat themselves so i`m now looking at buying replacements, so i guess 5 years out of the batteries is not bad. Overall i think this was a really good purchase. Worx14.4V Cordless DrillMy rather older version has been really reliable over the last 3.5-4years, though one of the two batteries started to fade about a year ago and has now stopped taking a charge. Worx14.4V Cordless DrillI have had a worx 18v battery drill for two years and have been very happy with it! It has not had an easy life and has proved far better than the usual cheapo drills. I have also used some of the big boy drills from makita and Dewalt, although the worx drill isn`t anywhere this league it certainly doesn`t feel as cheap as it is. After the amount of use I have given it I have found that the batteries don`t last as long as they used to but certainly don`t fade away after a couple of holes! 4 out of 5Alex02/10/2007 12:06:14

BLACK & DECKERHP9096Purchased about 2 years ago for approx £30 including a box of drill/driver bits. Only for diy use. Quite comfortable to use, has a swivel head which is very handy. Charger is one of those plug in types, a bit flimsy, takes about 30 min to charge up. Battery is fixed by screws, not sure how easy to replace. I have found that it works very well as a driver with sufficient power to drive in screws into wood & masonary. Reasonable for drilling holes in wood although after about say 25 holes the battery needs recharging. No good for drilling into masonary. Probably nowadays you can get a better drill/driver for £30. 4 out of 5SH18/09/2007 13:48:24

BOSCHPSB 18 VE-2Researched the internet for weeks before deciding this drill was the best one for me. Not top of the range by any means, but for the casual diy-er who might want to drill brick and wood it seemed the ideal buy. The 2 batteries that came with it were a bonus .. as was the price tag of £79 and the extra 20% discount that B&W were offering on all power tools drove its price down to just over £60! - Bargain if I ever saw one.

Challenge14.4V Cordless DrillJust brought this home from Argos. Opened the box and found that the flimsy, badly designed, slide-detachable mounting which secures the powerpack to the drill, was broken. The live, powerpack connection on one side is now exposed although the pack will still charge. To be fair, judging by marks on the box, I think perhaps that the drill had been dropped at some point but the slide-detachable mounting is so ridiculously frail and intrinsically badly designed that I`d advise anyone not to buy this drill. Addition cons: Overheats badly with moderate use (5 mins on thin, sheet steel PC case). Charger does not hold a charge well and significantly limits the amount of work you can do before another charge is necessary. Dangerous, flawed design using thin plastic where metal would have been appropriate. DO NOT BUY! 1 out of 5Upsilon4831/03/2009 15:30:08

Challenge24V Cordless Hammer DrillHave one of these drills for some time. Drill is ok but battery got progressively weaker and would not hold charge. Inquired at Argos at Mahon in Cork and was advised contact Argos spareparts. The donkey who answered first of all said Argos did not sell me drill, then he (Argospareparts) did not sell batteries. He then suggested that I should contact Argos !!! At that stage it was clear that this was a dead-brainer and I gave up. Moral of story, run a mile from Argos and their drills. They dont want to see you anymore. Would give it a minus 10 if that were possible.

Worx18V Cordless Hammer DrillDrill is good, but batteries are worse than useless 1 out of 5Anon18/01/2009 15:36:24

Worx14.4V Cordless DrillLike many of the other reviewers, I found the batteries to be useless even after relatively little use over a three year period. This is a shocking waste, since the drill is still in good shape and replacement batteries don`t seem to be found anywhere at a reasonable price. 1 out of 5Andy03/12/2008 08:16:37

VaroPOWX015This is a real bunch of rubbish. I bought one with a 3 year guarantee. Did 6 screws with it. Now it is knackered. Your wages would be a bit low doing up 1 screw every 6 months?????????? Don`t waste your money this is absolute rubbish. Toolstation told me it is their latest seller on the market. Turns out it has been out for over a year. 1 out of 5Bob the Builder, Wales03/09/2008 09:40:35

NUTOOL12v Cordless DrillBEWARE THINK BEFORE BUYING Nu Tool products have a manafacture date (MFG) and only supply spares / consumables 9 batteries etc) 4 years from that date irrespective of when you purchase it. This date is not obvious from the packaging so you will need to open the packaging ( that will please the retailer) and check the MFG date which is in very small print and in the format of MM/YYYY.

JCB18V Cordless Drill & 710 Watt Corded DrillFantastic product especially the cordless. So much so I am looking for another one because the charger has stopped working. I have had these 6 years and they have done a hell of a lot of work. Would definately recommend. 1 out of 56 years later and still working20/12/2007 13:04:20

Worx14.4V Cordless DrillBatteries extremely disappointing, both failed after about 4 months light use. Unable to track down extra batteries, now given up. Liked the drill itself, although heavy. My cheapo B&Q cordless for about a tenner is still going strong after 3 years... I would never buy Worx again. 1 out of 5Dave (Canterbury)10/07/2007 08:09:54

Worx14.4V Cordless DrillBought from Homebase in Oxford uk. Like a fool I lost the receipt. 2 months after buying the battries started to lose there charge after one day in the drill when not being used. Now drill two holes and there flat. Phoned `worx` and they told me new battries are £65 each. They are crap. Dont buy. and Homebase must know what they are like and they are still selling them so I will not go back to Homebase for anything. What other crap are they selling that they know is rubbish? 1 out of 5Steve.11/06/2007 09:29:20
