Cable and WirelessCWD4901SEFirstly the sound quality on this phone is about the same as on any other digital phone. I noticed that is does vary a lot according to source. For instance my sisters call to me from her digital phone was only average quality. But, my wifes from her mobile was excellent. A ringback from the bt testline was excellent too. The answer machine is very good. The message sound is good and it is very easy to use. Unlike on some phones listening to a message, turning it on/off and deleteing message is extremely simple. The address book is excellent to. The caller list is very easy to use. It is true that there is phone backlight on the main unit but not the susiduary which is weird. But, it doesnt bother me because I hardly ever use the second unit. This phone is very good value for money. Some of the other reviewers should have thought about the price before making their comments. Over all very good value.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer26/11/2008 01:01:01

PHILIPSDECT5153S TrioBought this in argos for 93 pounds, cheapest place i found. very nice piece of kit. change something on one handset and the other two do the same automaticaly.no vibration though, I thought it had it. entering in menu is a bit tricky as the side button is so small. its very very loud on max volume (boost)and you can download new tones.I"m happy with it and three handsets are ideal for a house. 5 out of 5mikmac02/12/2004 13:37:39

BTOn-Air1800 WirelessThis product is ideal when you have a PC upstairs and only one phone point downstairs (like myself). It saves me running a cable up and down the stairs everytime I want to go online. Plus has the added benefit of a digital cordless handset. Amazon was the cheapest place to buy this product from I found (even cheaper than BT themselves!). Installation is very straight forward as well, for XP users you need to download the driver from BT but it is only a small file anyway so wont take forever Overall it is probably the most useful product I have bought for my PC, very pleased.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer17/08/2003 01:01:01

BTStudio 1500 TwinTo all those reviewers who complain about the fading LED display / degradation in call length, I have one tip - replace the batteries. Rechargeable batteries do have a limited shelf life, so there is unlikely to be anything wrong with the product you have bought except the batteries are coming to the end of their useful life. We have had our set for well over a year, with reasonable usage. The call length performance started to suffer recently, then the LEDs on both finally faded. Replaced with recommended batteries (NiMH, 550mAh 1.2V - its in the user guide) and were back in business. No real major complaints about product - clarity of answerphone could be clearer, call time before energy runs out could be longer, but its not bad, and its not expensive. You might get better if you spent more, but weve had no complaints until the battery capacity issue started to impact on the call length, a problem which is easily solved (and youll have the same thing sooner or later with any phone using rechargeable batteries).4 out of 5Amazon Reviewer14/12/2008 01:01:01

BTFreestyle 3500 TwinI have had my set of these for yonks and am happy enough with them. Its awkward to do call screening with them as you cant hear a message being left on the answerphone and have to press a combination of buttons before the person hangs up to do so, and you have to do a similar action to switch to the other handset in mid call if the one you are using is about to conk out where it has been left off the handset too long since last charge. Neither problem is life threatening, but they do make doing either action very awkward. The thing I do like, though, and is the one thing I searched high and low for at time of purchase, is that there is just one button to start or end a call and that it is in the middle of the top of the handset. You would not believe how many times I have cut myself off of a call I have made with the ones with two buttons because they are right under my fingers when I hold the handset to my ear. I have only found two makers who make phones like this one and would go back to a normal phone rather than buy one of the others if I couldnt get a phone with one button anymore because it annoys me that much. Despite the niggles I still think this set is worth four stars though as I do find it one of the better ones Ive tried. 4 out of 5Amazon Reviewer19/09/2008 01:01:01

PANASONICKXTCD725EMI have owned and used a pair of these phone with answering machine since 2003 when I purchased them new from tlc direct, they have been left outside in the rain down the stairs from top to bottom numerous times , dropped trodden on etc etc and they are still working now in 2009 they are faultless, the only requirement to keeping these working is put in new batteries exactly as they recommend in the handbook, they take nicad and nimh batteries, read the book. The range outdoors exceeds 100 yards and I regularly take them 2 doors away and I can still answer the home phone line with them. I give them top marks, the options available are never ending, the built in recording facility is particularly good, as is the answerphone. 5 out of 5martin01/02/2009 13:26:49

BTOn Air 2250 ClassicHad our twin phones for well over 4 years and have been very pleased with them. However just two days ago we `lost` our dial tone. I checked everything and have been confused because the power is working to the sets but not the telephone line. We still have broadband and I have plugged in an old cordless and that is working. No doubt some connection inside that we can do nothing about. Searching now for a suitable replacement that will be as good as these have been. 5 out of 5Annem02/11/2008 07:07:38

PANASONICKXTCD455EBit long in the tooth now (mid 2008) but an excellent robust unit, with many features, even SMS if you subscribe to the service. Mono screen, but not a big deal to me. 200 memories, alpha-tagged like your mobile, is an excellent feature. Speaker phone too, so all in all, 98% for this one. 5 out of 5BHT27/08/2008 17:43:13

BinatoneBig Button 510 TwinI am amazed at the difference this cheap phone has made to our lives. We have the quin version (5 phones). Having big buttons makes all the difference, and it is easy to answer the phone, even bleary-eyed from sleep. The phone does everything you want, and nothing you don`t. We`re not disabled, and our family has people of all ages, including techno kids, but we all prefer this big phone to the fiddly ones we have had before. 5 out of 5big is beautiful18/08/2007 09:01:49

CABLE & WIRELESSCWD1900I bought the Cable & Wireless CWD1900 twin handset package last year and have found it to be one of the best in a long line of cordless phones! NTLVS2001 SIL twinFor the price this phone is a complete steal, it does everything it says it does. Having searched high and low I can guarantee, you will not find two handsets plus answering machine for less money!. People who complain about such trivial things as ringtones realy do need to get a grip, what do they want for the price. If double handset and answermachine with easy to use functions at a bargain price is what you want then buy this.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer06/02/2007 01:01:01

Philips2152S TwinI have had these phones for three years now and they are the best phones I have ever owned. I have owned more expensive phones than these that didnt come anywhere near the quality and reliability of these Philips phones. I cant tell you the number of times they have been dropped, kicked across the room, sat on and generally been abused at the hands of my family. My three year old son even submerged one of the handsets in a glass of water and, after it got dried out on the radiator, it was working again as good as new. They may seem a little dated in comparison to the latest all singing all dancing phone gadgets but I certainly wouldnt swap them for any of those. These phones have that rare quality you hardly see anymore in household goods, they are dependable5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer31/01/2007 01:01:01

NTLVS2002SIL tripleI do not normally write these but having bought this phone on price rather than good reviews I am more than satisfied with this phone. I am confused by the comments by the previous three reviewers because it seems nearly all the negative comments are resolvable by reading the very well written manual and changeing the factory settings. 1. conference calls are posible 2. I do not know how it would be possible to make transfering of calls any easier 3. Ring tones and tunes have a range from soft to loud (usefull to some users). 4 you can set the answer delay up to 7 rings before it clicks in. 6.you can swith off individual handsets if you want a nap or conserve battery life. I would agree the display is not the clearest one can get, but its £[...] post free folks, buy it now or pay at least double to get anything better. At this price it is 5 star for me. I hope it lasts longer than my last BT expensive phone which failed 1 week after the 12 months guarantee ran out. 5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer30/12/2006 01:01:01

BTCalypso 225 twinI have had it for a short time as well and have to say very easy to use. would recomend for the family so the wife does harras you on the functions of the phone.

good bonus is the card reader.

A shame that you cant have your own pictures loaded in and ringtones.

the higher models may do this so would say maybe for the bit of extra go for the slighly higher range.

BTCalypso 225 twinHad this phone system for about 6 months. It`s excellent and really easy to use. You have to register with BT for caller display and then it`s exactly like using a mobile phone. You can see exactly who is calling you and have the added bonus of adding all your contacts from your mobile phone sim card. The kids love it too because of the games. I also like the fact that you can ring the other handsets in the house and speak to them. Very happy. 5 out of 5Jacquie22/09/2006 11:43:29

PhilipsDECT5112S TwinHave had this model for some six months and have not found any faults. The orange LCD screen works well, especially at night (backlit) and the ten last dialled number store is particularly useful. The phones phone book memory is large and can be divided into groups, ie. friends, family, work. All additions/deletions to phonebook memory occur simultaneously to both handsets, so you do not have to copy everything twice. Plus each group of callers (friends, family, work) can have their own polyphonic ringtones. If you have kids, then their own ringtone will sound so you know not to answer! There is an intercom too, which is handy if you have lost a handset somewhere down the sofa! All in all, a great little package from Philips...highly recommended.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer09/07/2005 01:01:01

BTSynergy 3105 QuadWe bought the BT Synergy 3105 cordless telephone quad pack earlier this year. Its brilliant and good value for the money. The features are easy to use and users can call from room to room without any fuss, which is brilliant when calling my partner downstairs in a morning to make a cup of tea! There is a directory, adjustable volume and handsfree feature that can be used for the hard of hearing. The added bonus is that you have four telephones to use in your house with only one of them requiring a telephone socket. You will however need an electrical socket where ever you situate the telephone as it runs off electrical power. Buy it you wont be disappointed.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer18/05/2005 01:01:01

PANASONICKX-TCD 515ES SilverI have owned several really annoying cordless phones in my time. There was the one that dialled 999 all by itself, the one with a range of about 2 metres, and the one which used to cut off outgoing calls. At last I own a cordless phone that works! And it is very nicely styled and looks better than most DECT phones in the shops. The Panasonic KX-TCD515 DECT answerphone comes with a single handset which has a large graphical display and a speaker for hands-free operation. The base station is small and smart, but almost bereft of features. There is just a charging socket and a paging button: the digital answering machine is controlled from the handset. The user interface is based around the large LCD display (back lit in a beautiful shade of blue), a tiny joystick for navigating the menus and two softkeys below the LCD. The 100 page user guide succeeds in making the phone look complicated to use, but in practice it is pretty easy. There is a large range of features - including SMS messaging - many of which I havent tried using yet. Some highlights are: keys and display light up for those dialling-in-the-dark occasions, 200 entry phonebook (I must get some more friends), 15 ring tones in 32-polyphony (including Beethovens Ninth), 30 minutes of messages and 120 hours standby time. Included in the box is an optional belt clip and a wall-wart power supply in a perfectly colour-matched shade of grey. Pure class. I dont know exactly how good the range is (most DECTs optimistically claim up to 300 metres outside), but it works flawlessly around the house and all the way to the top of the garden, which is good enough for me. Sound quality is very good (as a phone and as an answering machine), with no sign of interference. The loudspeaker is loud enough and clear enough to use speakerphone mode by default, which avoids getting ear-prints on the display. I am well pleased with this phone, and although it is far from cheap, I feel that it represents good value at Amazons competitive price.5 out of 5Amazon Reviewer01/03/2004 01:01:01

BINATONEMD2020 QUADOkay, so I was standing in the shop scratching my head with a puzzled look on my face. I just couldn`t work out why the Binatone MD2020 Quad pack of 4 cordless digital phones were half the price of the equivalent BT-branded phones. Could it be the features? Surely not : these bad-boys have a 300m range, built-in answer machine, caller display, handsfree speaker phone, 40 name and number phone book, 9 hours talk-time and 110 hours standby. I mean, you couldn`t really ask for more than that, could you?? I just couldn`t accept the fact that at this price they could actually be any good. `You get what you pay for in this life, my boy` - my dad`s voice was ringing in my head. But I am a sucker for a bargain, and although they seemed too good to be true, I was soon on my way out of the shop with the Binatone MD2020 quad-pack under my arm. I must admit to being a little sceptical when I got home and began setting the phones up. I was convinced the set-up procedure would be complicated, and that the clarity of calls would be disappointing. But my fears were quickly replaced by pleasant suprise. Upon plugging in the phones (only the main base requires a phone socket) the handsets quickly locate their bases automatically and you are ready to go! So I made a call, wondering if it was possible that these things could actually be as good as they seem - and what do you know, the clarity was fantastic. Even when I wandered into my garden the sound quality was delightfully clear! So well done, Binatone, for manufacturing such a great product at such an unbelievable price, and well done me for grabbing a bargain. Get yours today! 4 out of 5The Nice09/08/2005 08:19:02

PANASONICKXTCD505Ethis phone is very good and has many features only found on mobile phones including polyphonic ringtones4 out of 5happyhenry22/09/2003 12:20:48

PANASONICKXTCD422EGood quality phone system.

Pros: Excellent sound quality. Clear and usable menu system. Cons: Ringer volume is not as high as it could be. No backlight for LCD or keypad. No audible alert for new messages received. On the whole a very good system at this price range. If you want a telephone upstairs and one down - with good basic features, that you don't need to dig the manual out for, this phone system is for you.

The 'cons' list above are 'would've been nice if it had...' features and do not make this a flawed piece of equipment.

BTEsprit 1250The phones are very easy to use and have great functions.BUT they do not last the same as other phones as the buttons stick after a while and you cannot use the phone to call numbers that have the stuck button. 3 out of 5Bobby18/09/2009 08:24:56

PanasonicKXTG1100ESNo good with hearing aids - loop setting gives buzz so guess that means no inductive coupler. Shame phones never state on box - might reduce the number of returns I have to make. 3 out of 5Dee26/04/2008 12:55:28

BinatoneActivity 6210 TwinButtons slightly small for `larger hands` but phones are full of features. My only concern at the moment (I have only had these a week)is that when they are on their charger units the batteries seem to get rather hot - even when they are fully charged and should`nt need any more charge. 3 out of 5Steve19/10/2006 12:36:22

PANASONICKXTCD420EThis phone does so much it has a 47 page manual. I doubt that everyone would use every single function, but trust me, you really need some patience and calm when setting the phone up. You expect to push the buttons and for it to react, but it takes a few seconds to think about what you are asking it to do, so you have to just wait and slowly punch in the buttons. There really is a LOT to read and understand, but once you get the hang of it, it is a great phone. Be aware that the massive Panasonic company do NOT have their help lines manned on a saturday and sunday! - and you WILL be phoning them at some point. Worst part is the answer machine facility. You have to remember to go over to the phone and look at the display to see if a small icon (in black) is blinking, which means you have a message! - would be better to have an eye catching light. Also, in order to hear your message, you need to push 4 buttons, slooowly or it gets confused; just a one or two push button would be far better. Good luck. 3 out of 5Jan06/10/2006 07:45:39

PanasonicKXTG7102 DECT TwinIt works but lacks useful features. You cannot search the phone book by keying in the first character of the name you`re searching for. You cannot copy the phone book from one handset to another. And the ringtones are rubbish. 3 out of 5Anon27/08/2006 15:35:50

DORO830RI have this phone, it is a nice enough phone, but the sound is now playing up, and it is difficult to hear people talk and vice-versa. Also, it is a painful piece of work to set up. It is very pretty though... 3 out of 5Belinda29/07/2006 21:40:13

BINATONEElite Plus Quin Packive had this system for two years and its been pretty good! a few problems like long calls are uncomfortable on the ear and the batterys now loose charge far too quickly (i certainly wouldnt consider buying a second hand set) the answer phone isnt very good quality either and you have trouble listening to messages left even at full volume. when the battery is low the damn thing will beep continuously day or night which made me throw one of them out of the window, never to work again. to be honest spend your hard earned cash on a better looking phone 3 out of 5FBF@18/12/2005 16:14:07
