| Flair | In the Night Garden Mini Doodle Fun | This is a 100% genuine bonafied bodaciously bumming street doll. I`m not joking. We just found this doll on the way to the pub on Summer Hill North in Cork Ireland at 11:23 p.m. on July 24th, 2009. He was sitting on a wall and looking desperate. He`s missing the Etch-a-sketch rip-off mini-toy and looks like his brains are exposed to the elements. Don`t get me wrong! I love my new found toy. I named him Scallywag until I realized that his real name is Flair Mini Doodle when I googled his manufacturing tag when I got home from the pub. Despite the creepily poor design and missing bits, this toy does exactly what it was originally intended to - entertain! I`m still laughing! p.s. | Tomy | Rainbow Aquadraw | All the aquadraw products are great for parents, because your kiddies can splosh pictures out to their hearts content and there is very little in the way of mess. Plus you are not left with hundreds of works of art which you have to pretend to show an interest in. (I wonder if Monets Dad felt the same way when he showed him all his lillies...)
Durability seems to have been cranked up a notch too. Earlier aquadraws suffered from staining whereby an excess of water leaves a permanent stain on the mat which eventually renders it useless. This one is much more robust.

| The In Thing | Gelli Baff Orange Gloop | This was bought for my 5yr old stepdaughter. My partner was resistant but i thought what the heck! We run the bath and put the powder in. with in no time at all the water was no more. she was lying in a bath full of pink goo!!! as you can guess she LOVED it! So much so that she then had to get her father involved by throwing it at his face. This is when i did begin to regret my decision. He thought it would be fun to have a gelly fight and the bathroon got totaly plastered in pink stuff.
After a long while, we finally got her to finish playing and put in the disolving powder. Within a couple of minutes the goo had turned in to pink liquid which i simly let down the drain. The bathroom cleaned up easily as the stuff is easily wipeable and did not stain a single thing,(which is pretty good thinking it was on the towels, curtains, radiator etc) The only thing i would say is that if you are going to shower your child down after having a gellybaff then make sure that you then put a non slip mat down as without washing the bath properly, it can be quite slippery, and with a child still in the bath it can be quite hard to wash it properly.

| fila | Fabric Pens 12 Colours | Bought these with some cheap white T-Shirts, set the kids loose and instant Xmas presents for grandparents. I thought they would smudge, blotch, run or whatever but the kids found them as easy to use as normal pens. Nearly a month after Xmas and theyre still going strong after a few washes.

| The In Thing | Gelli Baff Magic Swamp Green | This is not just a toy, its the most crazy product ever! - run a shallow bath and sprinkle in the dry powder over the surface of the water, the whole lot turns into a brightly coloured sloppy, slimy, gel. We ran a bath of 6cms as instructed, and it was a fairly firm gel, so could have been a bit deeper. It is like the gel which retains water for plants or flowers. My 9 yr old got in and so did the 13 yrs old who both spent the next 45 minutes playing in it. True the bathroom got covered in a fair bit of it, but it just wipes off and doesnt seem to stain anything. Also if it slops over the side of the bath it stays as a small lump, so doesnt flood the place.
As they say this would also be a great outdoor summer paddling pool product. When you are finished, just add the other packet it comes with, which it turns it into a more liquid product, and hence will go down the plughole easily. Dont worry I dont think it would block a drain as it feels like lots of small particles once it is made up, its not like a jelly, all solid. I have 3 daughters and they love playing with it. They got it from Father Christmas and love making different shapes and bashing them up and re-making them.
Yes, the 1st time you play it the sand gets mixed up and goes a different colour but i have found that happens with play dough so not too much of a problem there.
It does not stain and if you spill it on the floor you can hoover it up no problem.

After an emergency bath to get the ink off her hands, arms and legs I put our clothes in to soak before washing and by the time I took them out again at bedtime, the stains had gone. Ink easily wipes off tiles and skin.

A real hit - he has managed to concentrate on it for anything up to a full 1hr and has come up with some amazingly creative ideas.
Obviously it needs some supervision to avoid the small tacks going all over the floor ... but a lovely toy.

The pen and templates are easy for her to use, but the toy does give her a bit of a challenge, as she has to concentrate and be careful - which is what I wanted. Having seen a friends Aqua Beads set - I prefer the Bindeez pen I think. I do find that they take a bit longer than 10 minutes to dry - but when they are finished, they are durable enough to handle. As I type, the are upstairs tidying her room so that the house can be in her bedroom - then of course, a picnic lunch in their new playhouse! Fantastic fun. I got it for christmas and so far have made lots of coasters they are the easiest, two purses which was quite hard, a pot which was easy, a stationary box was average and a small bag which everyone who sees it wants one.
