I bought it for my 1 year old, though the ages was shown as 3+, and she enjoys it a lot. She doesnt yet quite get the cutting thing, but she takes the fruit apart by hands, and put them in and out of the box, so one of the good toys around. Its wooden and nice to touch, and very durable. I wish it looked a bit more like real fruit for educational purposes, but still a good toy.
