Dell Laptops Buyers Guide
Dell is one of the biggest manufacturer of laptop and PCs in the world. They manufacturer an excellent range of laptops, from the budget laptops to the top of the line powerful gaming laptops. The great thing about Dell laptops is that you can select and modify all the components within the laptop so that they meet your exact needs. This is very useful when you know exactly what specification laptop you want.
If you want a highly portable laptop to use on the move then a Dell Mini 10 will be a good option for you. The Mini 10 has a screen that is only 10 inches across, which means it is very small, lightweight and as such is extremely portable. The cheapest version has an 8GB solid state hard drive, which is great if that is all you require, but it is possible to select a proper 160GB spinning disk hard drive if you need more storage space.
The full-size, but budget Inspiron range of Dell laptops offers excellent value for money and is probably the most popular of all the Dell laptops. These come with either 15 inch or 17 inch screens depending on whether you value portability or prefer to have a large screen to watch media on. They are everyday use Dell laptops, which are ideal for people who just want a computer to browse the web, send email, view photos and type documents. A good selection of processors and hard drive sizes are available.
The Dell Studio is the next model up. It comes in the same sizes as the Inspiron, but is somewhat more powerful, making it ideal for music and video. It is a multimedia Dell laptop, for those who use their laptop as a multimedia entertainment centre. It is available in a wide variety of colours so you can choose your favourite, to ensure you stand out from the crowd.
For a more powerful entertainment and gaming experience from your Dell laptop, you can upgrade to an XPS or Alienware laptop. These are significantly more expensive (particularly for Alienware), but offer the ultimate entertainment performance with Full 1080p HD support and very powerful graphics processors. These are perfect for hardcore gamers, who want a laptop which lets them fully immerse themselves in the audio-visual gaming experience.
