IT WORKS3045I have already had two of these cameras and only looking for another as I have athrities and dropped them, I found it to be one of the best cams I have ever had. So all you people that dont want them I will gladly take them of your hands for postage as I will probably drop them in the end and again come into this site. If your serious about getting rid of your cam then then post a reply in this page and we can make a deal. Hows that. 5 out of 5helenalana14/02/2008 10:39:49

Canonixus 75Fantastic camera! You can leave it on the automatic setting and just shoot away and with such a large screen on the back you can instantly view your photos and even add a voice `tag` to it so you can remember where you took it. But that`s just for starters as there are a whole host of other features that you can use if you are feeling a little creative! Firstly, and fairly impressively, there is a video setting which allows you to capture good quality video, with sound which is definately good enough for family flicks whilst you are out and about. Bearing in mind the camera`s tiny size that means that you have a camera AND camcorder in your back for every occasion! Some other nice touches, for the creative of you, are things like the ability to take pictures in black and white but with one colour left in. This allows you to go all Andy Warhol with the click of a button. You can also do this in the video mode so you can create some great `pop` style videos for uploading to YouTube! ANother nice feature in the video mode is the time lapse setting which takes a frame every 1 or 2 minutes so you can play around with fast forward sunsets, flower`s openening, etc. In conclusion you basically have a 7.1 megapixel camera and good quality video camera in a tiny package for not much money and thar`s good enough for me. 5 out of 5Chris20/01/2008 17:30:24

LUMICRONLDC828z3The 825z3 has been an outstanding camera and great value! With memory card I can have over 3000 pics @ vga. Good looking camera with steel case , I bought two and my daughter has been to Africa with some real good videos to show, I really can`t fault this camera plus with 8mp it is good against competitors. My only grumble is the software and obtaining any upgrades. 5 out of 5Les Hoy22/11/2007 11:28:02

Fuji450Great camera, Rubbish has no idea what they`re talking about. Maximum quality has two modes, (5M F) and (5M N), which allow 205 and 409 frames respectively on a 512MB XD card. I also get 651 frames on (3M) and 818 frames on (2M) on the same card (512MB). If you tweak the ISO settings along with the FinePix Color settings (to either B&W, Chrome, or Standard) you will see what little grain there is in the images lessen. And when viewing the raw images you can expect some grain, it`s not like most users will be printing the images out at the native 2592x1944 resolution. Great all-round camera with fast startup, great battery life, and it travels well, I`ve had it for a 2 years and used it on 3 continents and only ever had a problem when I dropped it at a baseball game and knocked the retracting lens off it`s tracks. Fixed by Fuji and came back good as new, if you can still get your hands on one of these cameras, do it! 5 out of 5Jamie06/06/2007 18:09:33

SamsungGX1LAs a very long term 35mm SLR and Medium format user, I`ve just bought one of these cameras. This is my first digital SLR. To cut a long story short- I`m delighted with the camera. I`ve been a fan of pentax cameras for years, and this camera is very much a Pentax. Don`t let a mere 6 Mp put you off- the photos from the Samsung are as good as any I`ve seen, and I`m used to quality. A real bargain, and unless you`re fooled by brand names, a great camera. Good solid feel to it, nice menu system, RAW photos are excellent, and I can`t fault it, apart from the rather weak flash, as mentioned above. But I don`t use flash much anyway. 5 out of 5Black Dog18/05/2007 18:13:52

LUMICRONLDC828z3I have had my 828 for about a year now. I bought it on Ebay at a very good price,I was very pleased with my bargain and still am. Without knowing anything of the camera I was drawn to it because it offered 8MP,a robust stainless steel body,(I hate plastic cameras)good looks and good price. I have not been disapointed with the quality of photos either. If you have not heard of LUMICRON or are put off by the cheap price dont be its a great camera. SamsungGX1LMay not have all the features of more expensive cameras or the famous name(s) but it appears to be a pentax in disguise and all pentax `istdl` accessories inc. lenses work with it. but what it does do it does superbly. Menus are easy to follow, zoom and auto focus are smooth and accurate, lenses give sharp images with good contrast and balance. The camera feel solid enoughand fits the hand easily. Only downside the flash is not very powerfull and lens changing can be slightly awkward if you rush it. Value for money it takes some beating. 5 out of 5Ian Graham20/01/2007 11:25:19

OlympusFE150Very Happy with this camera. I wanted a Lithium battery as all previouis digital cameras I`ve tried (that used AA) had to go back to shop due to useless operating times.

Camera is easy to use, and it takes very good quality images.

I`m particulaly impressed with the fill in flash which has produced excellent results on AUTO. It`s the first digital camera I`ve owned which has made my Cannon EOS SLR redundant! (on image quality)

Haven`t missed manual controls yet, but it fits in my pocket and takes perfect pictures.

All in all I would buy this camera again and can recommend it.

POLAROIDPDC5070All cameras eat batteries especially when you use flash this one taking that into conideration isnt the greatest but far from sucks. Very happy with the performance and quality of pictures, take extra batteries with you/rechargeables and you will love this cam.

Also snagged the black one - yeah I know most other cams are silver and this one was black thats why I bought it right? nope! it was a gift but i`d gladly have purchased the cam (and nearly did - hence the gift) and having it in my posession now am quite happy with it. Cameras used in the past include Casio (want to talk eating batteries???) Vivitar (excellent quality - eats batteries too) HP and Kodak. rated 5/5 for price point and quality.

SONYDSCP200Buyer beware –Sony DSC-P200 Lens got off track and jammed …

After comparing and reading consumer reviews, I bought the DSC-P200 Sony Cyber-shot on Feb25, 2006. On March 10th, I took it out on a skiing trip. I accidentally dropped the camera as I was changing the exposure to SCN. The camera was dropped from about 3 feet and felt flat on the LCD screen on powder snow. I had only taken a few pictures.

As a result, the lens did not retract and all I got was “access error” displayed on the LCD while it tried to retract the lens. The lens had gotten off track. I called Sony and they asked me to remove the battery and wait for one minute and turn it on again. This did not solve the problem. I was then told that I needed to speak to Customer Service. I was surprised to learn that Sony would not even take a look at the DSC-P200 but told me that the Warranty would not cover this issue and that if I needed it checked I had to pay $181.00dlrs. I paid for this Camera $284.99 plus a Sony 1GB Memory Stick PRO Duo which cost me $89.99.

Now, I have learned that this camera has been recalled in China. I also read that another buyer who bought the camera from (Digitalfotoclub) that 85% of their stock was returned and they have stopped selling this and other Sony models.

In resume, after reading additional consumer reviews, I now know that the “Lens getting stock” is and will be a continuing problem for the DSC-P200. Sony should know that by now … and as a result, not just offer to help for an additional $181.00 or more.

VivitarV6300Vivitar V6300 review by Mike Smith, Bognor Regis Vivitar is not a brand that can easily be found in your average High Street photographic store but seems to be readily available through catalogue shops such as Argos etc.or via television shopping channels such as bid tv, price drop tv & Ideal World. Pound for pound Vivitars offer more megapixels for your money than virtually any other brand. Although the number of pixels goes some way to determine the quality of your photographs, lens performance is also equally important. The V6300 is a 6mp model that has a 3x optical zoom & a 4x digital zoom. Although you should only use the optical zoom for best results, the 6mp resolution means that you can get away with using the digital zoom with hardly any adverse effect to your pictures. Unusually for Vivitar the V6300 is fully automatic & fully manual so you can just point & shoot or adjust the aperture & shutter speed to suit the prevailing conditions. A very useful feature to have. You can also override the automatic exposure control if necessary. The camera also has 4 scene settings for Portrait, Landscape, Sport & Night mode, so if you are feeling lazy you can let the camera do all the work for you. The V6300 is very attractive camera & feels nice and solid in use, which belies it`s low cost. Unusually the V6300 has an optical viewfinder as well as a 2` TFT LCD display, which you can turn off to conserve battery power. The LCD display is adequate but the resolution is only fair. I tested the resolution of the lens by taking a shot of a distant car. I took a shot using the 3x optical zoom & the 4x digital zoom with pleasing results, but the biggest surprise was when I used the digital zoom again to enlarge the car even more. The number plate was clearly readable which was a huge credit to the resolving power of the lens. Exposure was also spot on. All in all at around £100 to £130 this camera is a bargain & I can fully recommend it as a best buy. 10/10.

SAMSUNGDigimax A4I bought this in Argos for £84.99, but i did all the hard work reading reviews, comparing them and finding the best 4+mp, 3xOptical Zoom, Video + Sound recording digital camera. RRP ~ £169.99 This is by far the best camera i could find in the £100 price range. Adjustable quality and size on photos and videos, with sound clips, (I read another review stating the the Samsung A4 didnt replay sound clips, that is untrue, as it does). I couldnt find a camera even close to this cameras capability within £50 over the £84.99 price tag. A serious bargain, and great for quick photos. 1 slight problem, the retracting lens makes a bit of a groan when sliding in and out, but thats only minor! Definately Reccomended.

OLYMPUSC725UZTakes superb pictures and the 8x zoom comes in handy. Interface is not very intuitive -self-timer for instance is not easy to find. But once you get your head round it, it is fine. Panorama function with the supplied software works better than Photoshop. The lcd viewfinder is the best feature as you see what the camera sees better than an slr, as it shows the exposure adjustment of the picture you are taking as well as the focus. It quite often loses the plot focus-wise on anything fast-moving though. For anyone who needs glasses to read like I do, the screen on the back is of not much use but as you can focus the viewfinder, problem solved and you can see the menus through it as well. All in all, a very good camera and a bargain. 5 out of 5Keith19/10/2005 14:24:21

KODAKEasyshare CX6230Lovely little camera, ideal for novice or technophobe like me. Koday easyshare with docking station is by far the best and most user friendly way of taking pictures. Shop around for good deals, mine cost me £45 second hand and I`m thrilled to bits with it. 5 out of 5Jo the19/10/2005 10:57:36

OLYMPUSIR300The Olypmus IR300 is a user friendly, fun and very easy digital camera to use with many creative functions. I have previously owned other Olympus cameras and the IR300 is my first digital camera. The easy to use functions and menus are definitely easy to navigate. A must for all those creative photographers looking for a great digital camera to play with! 5 out of 5Sherryl11/10/2005 20:45:10

Fuji450I bought this product earlier and my 1st impression is a good one. It is small and slinky, a very good everyday camera you can keep in your bag. I comes with a dock for charging and display as well as all the useful connecting wires so you can see the pictures or films you have on your memory card on the tele. It comes with a 16MB picture card which will probably hold about 17 pictures at the absolute most, so it is best to buy the 256MB to get the most out of your camera. 5 out of 5Anon02/07/2005 17:14:38

CANONEOS 20D Body OnlyThere is no doubt that the 20D is a brilliant bit of kit that, after just a few days use, is already improving on the forty years of fun and failures I have had taking pictures on 35mm, medium and compact digital formats. My earlier two star review was to alert anyone in a simliar position, of upgrading from a 35mm outfit, that they need to check out compatabilty and consider trading in any obsolete lenses. Previous owners of digital EOS SLRs will have encountered the problem long ago, but anyone upgrading from 35mm and expecting to use their old Sigma lenses needs to budget for new lenses. Enjoy your photography.5 out of 5PAUL REYNOLDS (source:7 Day Shop)17/03/2005

MINOLTADiMAGE Z2I have received my Z2. It was a choice bewteen the Canon Powershot 95A and the Z2. I know I have made the right choice... The Z2 is absolutely brilliant. It does eveything you expect plus it has a huge range of additional features to do with editing and screen shows etc....great if you want to show your gran your pictures on her TV!!!! Batteries (2300 rechargables) have lasted all day with me messing about with it. The video mode is great and is TV quality. Do buy 128mb card though, or it won"t be as much fun as you would want it to be. 5 out of 5R-J14/01/2005 09:35:27

SiPixStylecam DeluxNice inexpensive camera, gets really good details if you hold it still. Install new batteries, and it asks for new batteries (?) Must use camera batteries in future. Decent flash depth and simple. If lost..so what? It makes those snapshots easy and simple. Downloads nicely to computer. Heard about a fire if left on usb for a long time. Cannot prove it by me though.
