I bought this camera for my 17 year old son for his birthday in February. It has already broken - the LCD doesnt work and so you have to guess what the picture looks like. Very disappointing.

Id owned a Sony Cyber-shot before, and, when I replaced it, I chose this Samsung.
I didnt find it as user-friendly as the Cyber-shot, but the main problem is that the shutter speed is SO SLOW! If youre taking snaps of children or animals, you need a much quicker shutter speed than this Samsung has, and kids and animals wont hold still for a couple of extra seconds for you, will they?!
I returned this and bought a new Sony Cyber-shot instead, and Im happy again.
BATTERY TIP, ALL DIGITAL CAMERAS: I suggest you buy a digital camera that takes AA batteries, and get yourself a battery charger and some of the new-type rechargeable batteries that hold their charge even when theyve not been used for some time. Its so annoying when you pick up your camera after a few months of non-use, to take that quick snap, and you find the batteries are dead.
My suggestion for batteries is the Eneloop batteries by Sanyo, or for a cheaper option, Uniross HYBRIO. I know these cameras are heavy on battery usage, but with Eneloops and Hybrios, you can recharge them 500-1000 times, and keep spare charged-up batteries in your camera case. That way, youll be nice to your cash and to the environment - and youll have a charge in the batteries even if you leave them unused for up to a year.
Hope this review is helpful to some of you!

For the money this camera is very good. It has an anti vibration feature which helps when taking photographs and the picture quality is excellent, exactly what you would expect from a 10mp camera. The screen is a good size, not massive but not the smallest ive seen. The only the downside is that this takes AA batteries and not rechargeable lithium ion batteries - so buy yourself a couple of rechargeable AA batteries and a charger for about £10 and youre away!
Overall a very good purchase and all my friends / family have been asking me where I got it from, because they all want one now!

I bought this for my husband, both he and Im not very well informed on cameras. He is finding it easy to use, and it gives a high quality photograph. Downloading photos on to my computor, and then printing them is a doddle. My husband is very impressed, and enjoys using it very much. The size of the camera makes it easy to keep in your pocket, and use when needed. After approximately ten years, we decided recently to have a new puppy great dane, they grow so quickly that this camera makes it easy too keep up with everystage of his progress.
I would not hesitate to recommend this camera to anyone.

A great little camera at a great price. It doesnt have dozens of professional features which are pretty common on most of todays £100+ digital cameras but for a simple point & click photo it does the job. The 10 megapixels would be great if I ever needed to print a photo as large as A2! Generally however I usually use it on 5 or 7 megapixels as they take up less memory space. If you dont already have an SD card then I would highly recommend getting one with this camera. The internal memory has enough space in it for about 5-10 images so you will need additional memory. I bought an 8MB SD card (another bargain) and that allows me to save around 3,500 photos @ 5 megapixels!
The video function is pretty good and the playback is nice and clear when watching it on a computer. My only reservation is that the sound seems to be muted whenever you zoom in or out in video mode. Its not a major issue but is still worth mentioning.
The instructions are a bit brief but with enough playing you will out what everything does.
All in all a great little camera.

I got this item the next day i ordered. Was very happy to receive item so quickly. Its realy an excelent small camera for point and shot for indoor and outdoor. The picture quality is also quite good. The draw back is that you dont get any internal memory and batteries so you have to buy them seperately. Any how someone should not expect every thing in this small price. I will buy other as gift for someone.

I saw this camera and straight away thought, that looks amazing. Its 10mpx makes the pictures so sharp even at night time. It has no problem with `low light` areas duwe to its strong flash. The camera is very easy to use and upload to computer etc.
However, the camera does eat batteries. I would also recommend Duracell x2 AA batteries as many others I have tried are rubbish. Ive been through many sets of batteries already but i dont mind personally.
Well recommended to anyone wanting to take some nice, sharp pictures!
