| Indesit | IDL40 | Hi, just got one, did not read this review before, but I hope mine will work for more then 12 months!!! I had problem two lights on, but after checking my tap there was no water coming out, so fixed the tap and working well for now!!! will see later!!! | | kiesha | 17/12/2008 09:08:04 |

| Indesit | IDL40 | I have had this dishwasher for over 3 years and never had a problem, i was so impressed that i have bought the full sized one. i would recommend this to anyone | | Paul G | 24/10/2008 16:34:00 |

| BOSCH | SKT5102 | I`m amazed this is still in production. I bought mine 12 years ago and it is as good as new. No faults, excellent service, fast cycle time and good cleaning. Yes - it is compact and it can be difficult at times to cram things in, but for general crockery & cutlery I can recommend no other. I had a zanussi compact before this which lasted 2 years. Bosch has produced a mini marvel. | | fiffaro | 14/07/2007 08:44:29 |

| Hotpoint | FDM550P | Just bought this dishwasher to replace my 14 year old Hotpoint which still worked well but was beginning to fall apart inside and was quite slow. Very pleased with this one - quiet to use and the fast wash only 35 mins. Don`t worry that manufacturer says it only does a small load - did full Sunday lunch load perfectly yesterday! Also dries well if you just leave it for about 15 mins once finished - just as good as the drying cycle of my old one. So I`m looking forward to saving a lot of electricity! | | Anon | 17/02/2009 08:55:46 |

| Kenwood | KDW243A | Very worried when I saw all the bad reviews on this dishwasher after I had purchased, but still not fitted. Fitting was awkward very little space in magnet kitchen unit. Now to the important bit very reasonably priced. Door spring felt tight but when adjusted and door front fitted. perfect. Large plates fitted ok when read instructions and adjusted top rack to top height. Wine glasses put on side for cleaning. This is my first dishwasher so hard to compare but cleans and drys fine. Maybe because its my first I read the instructions more thoroughly than other posters or my expectations are not as high. A little bit noisey but overall very pleased. | | samspoons | 24/06/2008 14:36:20 |

| KENWOOD | KDW8ST2A | Had this dishwasher for 6 months, we also got caught out with the bottom tray being too small like lots of people, and thought we would have to buy smaller plates (the top tray is ADJUSTABLE PEOPLE) So now we dont have to buy smaller plates, duh The down side is long wash cycles, but otherwise cleans well and its stylish too, we are glad we bought it...... | | stevelaing | 21/03/2008 13:21:05 |

| BEKO | DWD5410 | Had ours for 20 months - great machine, easy to use, but heating element has now broken down (cost to repair £143). Would advise getting an extended warranty if purchasing. | | Kate | 23/02/2008 09:50:17 |

| HOTPOINT | FDW60G | Works well apart from the end cycle on the drying process is unclear as to when its complete I assume when the green light is on its complete but unclear in the manual. Also I have a 2yr old who constantly touches its difficult to keep him out of the kitchen or to sit down and when he presses the buttons it throws the washing process out and have to reset and start the machine all over again as their is no indication as to where along the cycle it is. With another younger child will have this problem for a while if its last long enough. A child lock would have been much better with this product. However love this dishwasher colour is great too. | | angela | 18/08/2007 09:02:52 |

| Kenwood | KDW243A | Over all this is a good product but needs to be treated with a little care. I fitted the unit in myself and the instuction to do this are poor, hence I needed a couple of calls to their help line for advise. If your kitchen has a two part dummy door/draw design as I have you will need to buy some brackets from a supplier as they do not sell a kit for this. I used a T bracket for a garden fence that I purchased from Wicks. The machine only performed well when we used Dishwasher Tablets instead of powder. There are caps on the teloscopic arms that should clip in tighter as either side will pop out leaving the top basket to come out un-supported. The lower basket will drop into the gap as it is pulled out to run over the door, ok if lifted across. I have not experienced the problem mention by K about the size of the plates and diespite the ealy concerns we are now very pleased with this purchase | | Chris | 13/02/2007 08:42:08 |

|
| Baumatic | BDW13 | Had one a little over a year now, no complaints about the cleaning and no e4 errors either - mechanically has been ok for me. BUT top tray rollers fall off regularly and the cutlery basket has already disintegrated. That said, my last one was a Gorenje which was pants and before that an AEG that only lasted two years. Many of these appliances are same / similar machines with different badges, I wouldn`t trust any one over another, but you might get better customer service if you pay more? | | David Shaw | 18/03/2008 09:09:34 |

|
| Kenwood | KDW243A | The beep is really annoying. When the machine arrives the bottom tray doesn`t have enough clearance to allow you to put full size plates in .... but if you look at the top basket there are two sets of wheels on the side, so pull it all the way out of the machine and out of the guides and then slide it back in with the lower wheels in the slots. The top basket it then high enough to give enough clearance for plates below. The catch is it`s then hard to get wine glasses to go into the top basket without hitting the top of the machine. Ours washes well, if slowly, it`s quiet and it looks good ... but loading it is a pig. | | Paul | 11/12/2007 13:22:30 |

|
| INDESIT | IDL40 | We`ve had this dishwasher for over 12 months. Everythings fine with the washing of dishes, the problem I have now it`s outside the warranty is that the handle has started splitting both sides. The handle has been split now for about 2 months, must be a problem with the design? Just thought I would let people know, Wouldn`t buy that design again. | | RS | 22/11/2007 11:28:24 |

|
| Baumatic | BDW13 | Foamed up and flooded the base. (Under the cavity). If you get the E4 again I`d suggest tipping it backwards about 45 degrees to drain the base. Put a large towel on the floor, lots of water!! Lying it on it`s side can upset the water management system. If you`re using 3 in 1 tablets do not put rinse aid into the machine as this can cause overfoaming. Don`t put soda crystals, bleach or washing up liquid in it as this also causes overfoaming.
Unplug your appliance before working on it. | | 5mnth old | 02/02/2007 16:30:45 |

|
| Kenwood | KDW243A | For the price its fine, when it wants to play ball.Got the dreaded E4 a couple of times, but because its intergreted cant tilt 45 degrees so we leave it for a few days then find it works fine. Now weve got E3 and cant find any reports about fault, it would help if all these E faults were printed in the manual. Also the rubber seals a pig when loading the bottom tray. First time weve had a dishwasher, dont think we will bother with a kenwood again. | | webbo | 02/09/2009 07:43:39 |

| Kenwood | KDW4TTSL | Best table top dishwasher I have bought. It does fit in large plates and more. Whats more is that it gives the best cleaning performance I have seen in a dishwasher. Even better than the larger freestanding/intergrated ones | | dean | 20/08/2009 07:47:20 |

| MIELE | G646 SC PLUS | I have had mine for 7 years now and it has been marvellous. I too love the cutlery tray. The only problem I have now (after 7 years!) is that the dryer (small round circle vent in the top front) squeaks whilst it is working and then water comes out when I open the door at the end of the cycle. Can anyone give me an idea of what I can do to alleviate this? | | Pat | 16/10/2008 11:24:14 |

|
| INDESIT | IDL530 | This is probably the worst dish washer I have ever owned, it does not even allow the soap tablet to drop into the machine as the basket is too close, Even if you put the tablet in loose it does not wash well, Ive`s never seen dishes come out of a dishwasher so dirty! avoid this one! how this was ever allowed out of the box I don`t know, come guys having a tablet door open is a basic requirement! | | Leo Pard | 13/09/2008 10:18:01 |

| Kenwood | KDW12SL3A | Ok here it is:- The wrong instuction manual was in the box but had all the info we needed to operate it anyway so no big deal there. Looks nice and fits in well with kitchen decor. It only cost £229 so we did not expect £400 quality but are very pleased with it general performance, ease of use and general build quality for the price paid. We raised the top shelf as shown in the manual and no problem with plate sizes simple solution that is often not on more expensive models. A dishwasher saves 3 weeks a year in washing up time so if it lasts 2 years then great we have had our money out of it. Lets be fair 6 weeks wages would easerly cover the cost of a new one

| MIELE | G646 SC PLUS | One of the best dishwashers. The cutlery tray is what I`d call simply genius! The amount of times I have stabbed my hand on the upright silly cutlery trays that you get with Hotpoint, etc. It lays the cutlery down. Also, the user manual teaches you exactly how to load a dishwasher. Many people don`t know how to load one thus wasting water, time and energy rewashing dishes. I`d recommend this product to every household especially those with children as it is safe (cutlery tray) and very very silent. I sometimes think I forgot to turn it on as it doesn`t humm and swish loudly like other machines. | | Mrs. Jansz | 16/08/2008 12:33:12 |

| MIELE | G646 SC PLUS | This is an execellent dishwasher. The separate cutlery level at the top (which can take anything up to about 2 inches in height) is very useful and frees up space on the bottom rack. The mid rack is adjustable in height allowing you to adjust for large glasses on the mid rack or tall plates in the bottom rack. | | Frank | 31/07/2007 08:01:40 |

| Bosch | SRS45E22GB | purchased this product from mfi in newtownabbey when purchasing kitchen. excellent dishwasher, very quiet and the bonus of a time when program finishes. would recomend the dishwasher, its slim as i dont have much space in the kitchen and washes well.. value for money and excellent build quality. the major buying point is the door stays down when open and does not bounce back up like cheaper brands. good lock on it also and not a piece of plastic again like cheaper brands | | robert | 17/12/2006 12:30:15 |

| MIELE | G975SC | Just bought this item from Currys as an ex-display for £200. What a bargain, immaculate condition really impressed with this dishwasher. I have to keeping checking its on as it is so quiet, cleans really well and the cutlery tray is a lot better than the basket gives you more room for pots and pans. | HOOVER | HND315 | Crap machine do not buy. Plates are fitted in the upper try, but even at maximum extension it"s difficult to dinner plates. They interfere with the door seal. To make use of the "15" place setting you would need to be using smaller than average dinner plates. Also the "half load" setting means don"t fit anything (except cutlery) in the lower try. “Does not do what it says on the tin.” | | Edt | 02/12/2004 13:41:49 |

| BOSCH | SGI43E02GB | There is a series problem with this dishwasher. It simply does not work. That was true even after BOSCH having replaced it with a new one! The prewash works but nothing else. BOSCH customer service is very poor. I have not had a dishwasher for the past 3 months. I am now following the issue with the retailer (qed) and my solicitor. | AEG | Favorit F6087M | The main 3 main reasons I choose this model were the lovely stainless steel exterior, AAA rating and quietness. | Smeg | DWI612C | I loved the first one and, when selling it with my house, I was lucky to find it again discounted in a shop as end of stock. It is great because it is simple and works well (even as a BBB rating!), has adjustable top basket and horizontal spout. It is noisy but the cheap price I got both and their simplicity and efficiency for made up for it. | | G | 18/03/2008 09:09:04 |

| BOSCH | SGS43E08GB Silver | I have had this dishwasher for 4 and a half years with no problems at all. With 3 children it has certainly done more than it`s share of work. Sadly it has just gone kaput, I had an engineer look at it and it is not just the element but the motherboard aswell. The advice is to buy a new one. I will be buying the same or similar model again as I am quite happy with nearly five years out of my dishwasher given the amount of work it has done. | | Ginger | 18/03/2008 09:08:41 |

| Haier | WQP4 1A | My Haier WQP4-1A arrived from a catalogue shop with its facia comming off I decided not to send it back as I had to wait a month for it to arrive. Over a year it became a little looser but it was still in relatively good order. I use powder rather than tablets as it is most economical, with 2.5KG size lasting 9 months using it three times a week. Recently it was the cause of tripping the switch at the board, but after a gentle thump on the facia that problem was solved. I dont regret buying it and it always gives a good performance, large items tend not to dry in it. There is a place in the door to set powder or a tablet but nowhere for the salt. Removing the cutlery basket helps to accomodate larger items. | | Derek from Omagh | 13/01/2007 18:52:21 |

| PROLINE | PDW041 | I great little dishwasher and the cheepest Ive seen a desktop washer. Very sumular to the Bosch but 150.00 cheaper. A few gripes I have about the washer is adding salt and rinseaid is clumsy to say the least, having to spoon the salt into a filler on the inside right wall of the washer rather than as with the bosch`s detatchable salt tray. Also you have to perform a simular action to fill with rinse-aid - having to spoon the rinse-aid into a filler situated inside on the back wall of the washer, both mini salt scoop and rinse-aid filling container provided. The only other grip I have is the stacking try - where you put your plates, cups etc seems to have an odd layout when compairing my friends Bosch. Saying that I think I`ll get the nack of it on day.
Ive only used the machine less than 10 times from new and it clean the dishes ok and in a record half an hour. | | Andy | 05/12/2005 07:57:48 |

| Zanussi | ZDF131 | The top tray is definately not designed to hold cups and glasses. If you put tall tumbler glasses in they fall over sideways, due to the rack that holds the wine glass stems. And next to this slanted row is another row thats not wide enough to hold cups/glasses. Don`t know what that bit is designed for. | Smeg | DF614WE | We have owned this dishwasher for 18 months now. Yes the plate size can be a bit frustrating. It washes well, drys the items and it is quiet. The only problem is that in the 18mths we had had to have three new handle covers. The part has a design fault however the smeg engineer says it is not covered by the 5 year warranty. | | Anon | 01/02/2009 13:26:38 |

| BOSCH | SGS66A02 | Got this dishwasher about 6y ago and have been very happy with it. Not great at getting everything super dry. But the flexibility of baskets and racks mean you can put an amazing amount of dishes in it and it still washes very clean. Easy to use controls and see how much time is left. Pretty quiet to run. Unfortunately, ours just broke. Admittedly we ran it on most evenings as we have a family of 5. However, I did expect a Bosch to last a bit longer. The washer motor bearings have gone possibly due to a tiny leak in the seal. The water inlet partly blocked off possibly due to the hard water in our area. And the spring clip on the soap dispenser broke off. Too costly to repair so we will have to scrap it and buy another. At the time of purchase, this was a top-of-the-Bosch-range dishwasher. I am upset to part with it. However, due to initial cost coupled with unexpectedly short life, I can only give this a 3. | | Anon | 03/12/2008 08:16:39 |

| Cookworks | WP5F White | Model WPF5. This is the largest, most cumbersome table top dishwasher I`ve ever had. It takes up a lot of room yet the interior is really small compared to other tabletop models. The interior is not deep enough to take my largest dinner plates or my grill pan, yet I`ve never had this trouble with other models. You can`t place or remove cutlery from the basket without tilting the basket 90 degrees, which is awkward as the cutlery spills out unless you are really careful. The dish rack has really big gaps and I have to be careful how I load the machine because it`s easy for smaller items to fall through, or cups can tilt and the handles will block the rotating spray arm. Even the cutlery basket can tilt into the largest gap and block the rotator. A Normal/Hot wash does a great job, taking 83 minutes with 8 litres of water at 68C with half a dishwasher tablet. The Normal/Economy wash heats to the incoming water temperature plus 10C and takes 63 minutes and uses 8 litres of water. The Rapid/Economy/Hot wash takes 12 minutes and uses 6 litres of water heating it to 7C higher than the incoming water temperature. You will need to plumb it to a hot water inlet to get the best out of this machine. I only have cold fill so I can only use the Normal Hot wash. Argos currently sells this dishwasher on a `home delivery` basis and removed the 16 day return policy from this item. It`s not really surprising, as I would have send this model straight back and got a refund had I been allowed to. However, now that I`m getting used to all the niggles with this machine, I have to say that it does a great wash at 68 degrees. I only ever use half a dishwasher tablet in a machine this size. | | cagsy | 09/04/2008 08:14:02 |

| TRICITY BENDIX | DH090 White | Have had one for about 3 years worked really well to start with but recently has not noisier and has now stopped altogether. Like Helen says it`s likely to be expensive to fix. | | Peter | 14/07/2007 08:43:41 |

| Baumatic | BDW7 | NOT A BAD DISHWASHER, BUT THE INSTRUCTIONS ARE A BIT VAGUE AND WHEN PHONING THE COMPANY TO SORT OUT A FAULT THERE REPLY WAS IT WILL COST YOU £85 + VAT TO HAVE A LOOK AND THE COST OF ANY PARTS ON TOP. I FOUND OUT IT HAD OVERFLOWED AND THE CUT OUT SWITCH HAD LEFT THE MACHINE RENDERED INOPERABLE. SO I PHONED THE COMPANY TO FIND OUT WHERE THE SWITCH WAS AND THEY SAID` THAT WILL COST YOU £85 + VAT AND MORE FOR ANY PARTS REQUIRED. I HAVE SINCE FOUND THE SWITCH, UNBLOCKED THE DRAIN( WHICH CAUSED THE OVERFLOW)AND IT NOW WORKS FINE. PRODUCT IS GOOD AND REALLY DOES A GOOD JOB OF CLEANING, HOWEVER THE AFTER SERVICE STINKS. | | R MORGAN, | 28/02/2007 19:15:18 |

| ZANUSSI | DE6854 | Had this machine for over 3 years and in the last 6 months started to play up. The water was not heating up, the engineer detected the fault as the PCB and this was £100 fitted no problem. Now the same fault is back and I have been told the element is at fault.I don`t think that no matter how good it has been spending another £48 call out fee plus parts is worth it. | | B. | ELECTROLUX | ESL424 | YES WE OWN AN ESL424 DISHWASHER, BUT WE`RE NOT OVER THE MOON WITH IT ! UNDER 3 YEARS OLD WE HAVE REPLACED TWO FILTER ASSYS @ £20 A TIME AND NOW IT NEEDS A COMPLETE SET OF BASKET WHEELS AS THE PRESENT ONES KEEP FALLING OFF. THIS WILL PROBABLY COST IN THE REGION OF £80! THIS IS A DOMESTIC MACHINE IN AN ORDENARY DOMESTIC LIGHT USE ENVIREMENT. GML. BEXHILL on SEA | | Anon | 30/01/2007 17:22:24 |

| ZANUSSI | DE6544 | We bought a DE6544 in 2002, and now it has started to go wrong. Last year a new pump because the impellers have worn - now found out that I could have bought the impellars for £25 instead of £100 for the motor, and now the main board has gone at a cost of £ 80 to £120. I suppose if it``s 5 years old and used every day you don`t expect them to go on for ever...... Our Zanussi washing machine is the same age and we`ve had no problem with that.........yet | | Nige | 20/01/2007 11:24:50 |

| MIELE | G1140 SCI DB | Quite good, but plastic cutlery tray stays wet at end of all cycles; it positivly drips & any silver cutlery needs drying off. Surprisingly good space in the main section of the SCi integrated - seems better than the freestanding model I saw in the shop. Use `sensor watch` or `pots & pans` - `energy save` & others aren`t much good. The Technical Support people at Miele are helpful | | Margaret | 29/07/2006 21:42:42 |

| INDESIT | D41UK | value for money is fair, in the expensive slimline market. Features basic but work ok. Ideal for compact kitchen on a budget. Quality of manufacture seems good for the price. | | Jason from Scotland | 06/07/2004 10:26:09 |

| WHIRLPOOL | ADG7540 | Don't use 24-7, I haven't managed to plumb this product in yet because it came damaged and 24-7 will not replace it because it was signed for, but from the outside and the packaging it looked perfect. I then had lots of problems talking with them and its still not resolved. | | Andrew | 10/05/2003 17:17:41 |

| INDESIT | DG6145 | I am new to the dishwasher world, so this is my first machine. Which I have had less than a week now, have tried using all the programs. these are the results:- the pots & pans cycle, has produced the cleanest wash everything was sparkling clean & dry. The rapid wash was alright for my good plates that weren't very dirty The regular cycle left scum behind and the pans still had bits of food on so required re- washing, one of the dishes wasn't any cleaner than when it went in.
Overall I expected better results. | | Jackie | 21/10/2002 19:02:02 |

| ZANUSSI | DE6854 | Had this dishwasher for 2 and a half years, worked well with no complaints up to this point. Now however, water not getting hot so dishwasher is not washing my dishes! Looks like a common problem but you would really expect it to last longer than this, very dissapointed | | bumble | 30/10/2009 16:14:09 |

| AEG | Dishwasher- White- 50740 | Watch out! A very common problem with this machine is that after about 5 years of use (which I don`t consider to be a fair life span for a dishwasher), the heating conks out. It`s not actually the heater that`s at fault but the circuit board behind the push buttons. This circuit board costs about half the selling price of a new machine. I won`t be being this brand again. | | Kate, FFB | 05/10/2009 16:25:09 |

| BEKO | DE3431FW | We have had this dishwasher for 3yrs but out of the blue it stopped heating and drying the dishes properly it turned out to be a burnt out cicuit board component. Not good value for money as this was not a part that could be replaced!and cost us #70 pounds to find out,in my mind 3yrs and a packed up dishwasher sucks!! | | Anon | 24/09/2009 07:50:54 |

| Zanussi | ZDF231 | Yes - the top tray is rubbish unless you have tiny cups and glasses. There are 5 `aisles`, 3 of which are too narrow to hold anything except maybee espresso cups or shot glasses. I`ve tried asking their service people but they don`t seem to understand the issue. | | Charlie | 13/09/2008 10:17:59 |

| Smeg | DF410SF Slimline Dishwasher- Stainless Steel | I wouldn`t recomend this product. I have one that is 3-4 years old and I have had to call the engineer out several times to get it fixed. The latest eppisode cost just over £200 to get the thing mended. Not really worth paying a premium for | | Rach | 16/08/2008 12:32:00 |

| AEG | F40660 | I`d be certainly think twice about buying another AEG Dishwasher. Purhased one of these a couple of years ago (after a Which recommendation!) and while it does the job it has broken down twice in the last year.
