So upset with this machine I am writing my first review.
The machine seems to have a life of its own. It is connected by a scart cable to a sky+ box and by another scart to my TV. If I change TV channels or switch off TV while recording from the sky+ box the recording stops. Tried all cable combinations but nothing helps.
Nobody on the help line can sugggest anything.
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating:  Date Reviewed: 08Jan2008 | | | Opened the box, connected the cables supplied and the machine done what it was supposed to do. I found it to be very `User Friendly` unlike the previous Philips DVD Recorder I had.
Setup was amazingly easy, recording and playback was very good.
Only a couple of irritating points,(a) the DVD drawer is very flimsy, could be made substantially stronger, (b) although adequate, some form of illuminated bar would be helpful to allow you to see what progress the disc is making, (c) the push buttons on the remote control a tad on the small size.
All in all a good machine at a good price.
