CredaC367EXHHad a stainless steel Creda built-in oven for about 25 years. I still have the stainless steel hob. Wonderful cooker I loved it but need to replace and cannot find a Creda one. Have been told that they are being marketed under a different name. Urgently need a stockist in the Republic of Ireland. 5 out of 5G Johnston, Rep of Ireland17/12/2008 10:44:19

ElectroluxInsight EKC5544WAfter using this handsome cooker for a month now we find that the following features are very useful. Very quiet operation, stay clean liners in BOTH ovens, easy to clean sealed hob - no gaps between ceramic hob and surround, easiy to use oven timer controls, air cooled doors really do work well when using the grill and putting things in and taking them out of the ovens, `Hot Hob Light` really grabs your attention, good insulation - our adjacent cupboard does not heat up at all, solid build with smoothly operating controls, viewing inside the ovens is excellent in all respects through the double glass doors and illumination is constant while the oven is operating, height adjustment is easy by rotating the feet (tip - stick glide pads under the feet before levelling to prevent damage to flooring and for ease of movement {about £5 for pack of 4 from B&Q}). 5 out of 5Anon04/02/2008 10:02:07

ELECTROLUXEKT6045XI am now the owner of the Electrolux EKT6045.I have been using this cooker for 7 days.I decided to purchase this appliance after seeing an advertisement in a magazine. The look of the cooker caught my eye initially.I liked its simple design - no fiddly bits that are difficult to keep clean. After cooking, a quick wipe over keeps it looking clean and sparkling. Once i had read the user manual and practiced a few times i was confident with every aspect of this cooker. The results have been excellent. I can highly recommend this cooker for style, quality and results 5 out of 5Julia from Stoke on Trent04/09/2007 17:46:31

PANASONICNN-ST477SBPQI purchased this oven based on many good reviews, and to be honest, as microwaves go, it does what it says on the tin. Its efficient, powerful, quite clever with auto settings, and great value for money. However... Its the stupid little things on this that drive you totally mad, which is why Im writing this review in the first place, in the hope that those clever little Japanese people actually listen: The buttons are in a stupid order, going from low to high, but with the defrost button smack in the middle. The amount of times I hit the wrong one is infuriating. The other annoyance is I use the stand button quite a lot, during cooking, and occasionally just as a timer for other things. If I cook say, "high" I press the tens/minutes buttons and set the time. However, when set to stand, the same buttons set hours/tens. WHY!!!?? What a totally cr*p piece of thinking. Buttons should be set to do a function, not arbitrarily move around according to what mode you are in. Come on Panasonic. Use your heads and stop designing by committee. Apart from that, great engineering let down by shoddy ergonomics. 4 out of 5Amazon Reviewer12/01/2009 01:01:01

HotpointC367EWHThis is a great oven - does what it says. It heats up in a fairly decent time and cooks food very evenly. The rings are a good size and well spaced and again heat up very quickly. I am very happy with it although I think I now paid too much. Only downside is very poor customer service from Hotpoint which would make me think about purchasing from them in the future. The cooker arrived damaged and took over 5 weeks for the minor problem to be resolved. Good cooker, poor customer service. 3 out of 5Anon24/09/2009 07:52:59

SmegSE70SX-1I have also just had a Smeg stainless steel hob installed and agree with you totally. Although I would expect to wipe the burner caps and support stands after a heavy cooking session, I would not expect to have to do this after boiling an egg, for example. As soon as I turned the burners on to test the hob, the caps went copper coloured, the wok support turned dark blue and the pan supports turned brown. Smeg themselves have been unhelpful apart from suggesting a cleaning product. They have also said I could buy new burners and racks in black - at a huge cost - almost as much as the cost of a new hob. I am sad that Smeg`s reputation as a provider of quality products has been `tarnished` in this way. Apparently all retailers are advised to tell customers about the oxydation - but my on-line supplier certainly didn`t.

ElectroluxInsight EKC5545XI purchased an Electrox Insight EKC5545X Cooker last December - 7 months ago. It was one of the first manufactured of this new model. I had to have a new oven seal fitted after five months, and this morning (29 July 2006) the main oven door of which the inner glass panel can be taken out to be cleaned, exploded in my hands shattering into hundreds of pieces all over the kitchen worksurfaces, floor and table. There was no apparent reason for this except me holding the door. The door appeared in perfect condition and it had never been dropped. I have to say it really scared me - I was just very lucky that none of the pieces of glass went into my eyes. The service people are coming out in 5 days time to examine it. I hope it was a one off and not a manufacturing fault, but whatever the reason I don`t know whether I will ever feel comfortable using the cooker again. 2 out of 5V Morris08/08/2006 21:01:50

ZanussiZKC5030X1This is the third electric cooker (the other two were from Hotpoint) we have owned; this was the most expensive, and it is easily the worst. Grill: this, unbelievably, works on a thermostat, so it will switch off in the middle of grilling. When toasting bread, the grill will toast one side, then, after being on for 7 minutes and midway through toasting the other side, the grill will switch off for 4 minutes, during which time the bread is baked, not toasted. Total time for grilling both sides of toast is about 13 minutes from switching on the grill. Browning the outside of mackerel, or the top of an omelette, is hopeless. Weve called out two engineers who confirm this is NOT a fault. So, after spending #500 on a new cooker, we have had to buy ourselves a toaster. Ceramic hob: much more difficult to clean than the Hotpoint cookers, you really have to rub hard with the hob cleaner. Size: although the outside dimensions are the same as the previous cookers, the oven is condsiderably smaller, so none of our large baking trays or pizza dishes will fit. This problem is accentuated by the oven shelves, which make the usuable space in the oven smaller than it need be, leaving a two-inch gap at the back. Make sure you take one of your large trays to the showroom to test if it fits! Noise: the fan oven is the noisiest wev`e heard. 1 out of 5Dont be01/08/2009 08:53:05

CannonC60ETCI used this product for 4 weeks until a kitchen fitter laying tiles received a shock when he touched the foot of the cooker. He discovered that 120 volts of electricity were running through the casing of the machine! I then contacted an Indesit engineer who told me that the machine was dangerous and not to be used until a new part was fitted 7 days later. I contacted Cannon who took the information and told me that I would receive a return call before 5pm that day. When I received no call I contacted Cannon again and they confirmed that I would be without a cooker for 7 days - buyer beware! 1 out of 5William Davies22/07/2009 18:18:06

LeisureEB10CRXA MANUFACTURING FAULT HAPPENS WITH SOME OF THESE COOKERS, APPARENTLY ITS POT LUCK IF YOU GET A GOOD ONE OR ONE WITH SOMETHING MISSING THAT CAUSES IT TO LEAK A CONSTANT BIG (WE ARE TALKING BIG) PUDDLE OF WATER ON YOUR KITCHEN FLOOR, ITS FAULTY AND ITS WRONG, AND THE SHOP NORMALLY FIRST OFFERS YOU A DRIP TRAY, WHICH DOES NOT EVAPORATE BUT YOU HAVE TO EMPTY OTHERWISE THE DRIP TRAY OVERFILLS AND EMPTIES A PUDDLE OF WATER OVER YOUR KITCHEN FLOOR. HotpointEW84KI have had this cooker for almost two months. The temperature of the fan oven has never been right. The maximum teperature it gets to is 200 C when on the display it should be 230 C( i had to buy an oven thernometer to find out why it want cooking as it should) The temperaure is usully at least 20 c below what you expect. The alarm on the timer pings very quietly about 10 times and then stops so if you are not around when it goes off you miss it. All in all a very disappointing buy. It looks great but doesnt perform. Customer services are poor too ( I am still waiting for replacement) and I have never got through in under 6 minutes 1 out of 5Daisy05/02/2008 10:49:08

HOTPOINTEW84This has to be the worst cooker in history. Whilst the hob is fine, the oven is useless. The bottom never heats up whilst the top burns everything. To test tihs we put three pizzas into the oven, and whilst the top one was burnt the bottom one was not even warm in the middle. We have tried all the settings and had the engineer out twice but to no avail. The intelligent cooking system is a joke as it does not compensate for other items being in the oven. An annoying function is that the oven fan runs on for ages after switching the oven off. 1 out of 5Casimmo30/10/2007 08:16:33

ZANUSSIZCE7701XIt`s the best cooker I`ve ever had, and after 5 years, looked as good as new. We do polish the top every day, only takes 1/2 a minute. FLAVELCOOKMASTERI own an electric version of this product. We`ve had it something like 50 years with never ONE repair needed. It is a miracle product. I wish it were gas, but the burners heat up almost as fast as gas. It was almost taken to the dump some years back just to get some modern little replacement. Thank heaven that didn`t happen. FLAVELCOOKMASTERYes I do own the product and mine is duel fuel- 8 gas burners - electric oven, fan-assisted electric oven and double grill. I purchased it from the, now defunct, gas showroom. It was `sold as seen` being a display model. It cost 450 GBP (not bad). The fan oven element went after about 18 months, a replacement took 20 phone calls (the people at the now defunct gas showroom had no idea about after sales support). Some of the knobs have their chrome flaking off. The grill element has just gone. And the normal oven hasn`t worked for four years. I am trying to find a replacement element for it but no luck so far. Still a great piece of kit and worth the money. The parts are also fairly cheap, the cooker is also pretty solid. It is easy to clean and looks new (it must be 8 years old). 4 out of 5DrMik07/08/2009 17:33:00

ZanussiZCE7610WI have just suffered my third switch burn out. The first time was only a couple of momnths from new but still under warranty, the second cost me #48, the third I have easily located the faulty switch myself. Remove 2 x screws from back of hob and 2 x screws from front, lift of hob and faulty switch can be detected by burnt welded contacts. This is why your 30amp cooker fuse has blown. I have seperated the welded contacts until I seek out a new switch. They can be bought on-line for about #16 and easily fitted.I haven`t tried using the switch again but at least I have three rings working. The same contacts on the same front left switch has failed - maybe a coincidence. Certainly not a recommended buy but if already bought I hope this info will cut down on repair costs. 1 out of 5Eddie Currie18/09/2008 08:55:27

ZANUSSIZCE531XCheap enough but some annoying faults; Worst fault is very intermittent cutting out of oven/grill - will work fine for months but then will suddenly leave you with an uncooked Sunday roast dinner every so often for no apparent reason. Finish is poor - the oven came with only one oven shelf - don`t know if this is standard but Zanussi did send me another when requested. Grill handle difficult to fit - have given up with that. Oven seal partially came off within weeks and control knobs get very hot when the grill is on. Given the price I suppose its OK but a disappointing product given it has the Zanussi name - I have come to expect better from them. 1 out of 5JB28/08/2008 20:16:36

BekoDV655WDo NOT buy this product. The oven leaks a considerable amount of water onto the floor when used (known as `puddling`) which BEKO says is because you must only cook with everything covered with a lid, and offered us a drip tray to fit. How does one do a roast ?? We had a Service Engineer here twice who said this was normal and used a hair dryer to prove that the vent was not blocked. When opening the oven door, quite apart from the normal heat coming from it, a huge blast of fatty steam was released at the same time which we photographed and showed to the Supplier - dangerous when small children are about the house. It took 4 months of phone calls both to Beko and the Supplier (being fobbed off all the time) before the Supplier agreed to replace it with another make of cooker. We got a Cookworks AC60DOWC at the same price and are very satisfied with it. 1 out of 5Peter Burgoyne11/05/2008 08:05:28

HOTPOINTEW82 ZIRCONI have owned a Hotpoint EW82 Zircon Silver electric cooker for approximately 3 years and I must say that I am not impressed. First of all it started tripping our electricity, then the main oven stopped heating up. I am reluctant to buy the service package because it seems expensive. Cleaning the cooker is a nightmare. The glass doors have a space between the double glass which invariably attracts grease and dirt. A pozidrive screwdriver is needed to take off the glass for cleaning. I also find the inside of the oven hard to clean - even with a steam cleaner. I had my previous cooker (a Tricity Halogen)for about 13 years and then gave it away in good working order. The only reason I bought the Hotpoint cooker was to update my kitchen. I don`t think I will every buy anything made by Hotpoint again. 1 out of 5Sooty26/04/2008 12:54:43

LEISURERoma 50 WhiteI have had this Leisure Roma 50 cooker 2 years and it packed up the day before Christmas due to the clock refusing to work which operates the Fan Oven, I have since found out it is a `Beko` product and as my last cooker was a Beko (that stopped working after 3 years) I feel cheated. I have been told it would cost at least £130 to fix as it may be the `Thermal` fuse. We are pensioners and cannot afford to keep replacing rubbish cookers, dont buy this rubbish as they still sell this model. Malcolm Ellis 1 out of 5Leisure (Beko) Roma 50 Rubbish30/12/2007 10:03:51

ZanussiZCE7610WPlease do not buy this cooker. We bought one from new and it has developed the same catastrophic switch burn out fault 4 times in 18 months. The manufacturer response is a joke, only made worse by `extended warranty` clowns Allianz Cornhill ducking any resposibility to deal according to their contract. Buyer beware indeed!! HOTPOINTEW81 POLARHad this cooker 6 years now. Handles come loose, eventually coming off. Timer controls have stopped working and oven temperature dial doesn`t work. The dial turns but temperature doesn`t. Don`t really know if it is worth having fixed but the rest of the cooker looks like new. 1 out of 5Disappointed26/08/2007 09:28:36

ZANUSSIZCE7701XI totally agree this is the worst oven ever, all the knobs are broken on mine and is constantly cleaned. And the worst thing is Zanussi have the cheek to ask for £15 a knob to replace. Total ripoff DO NOT BUY 1 out of 5Lee Croker15/08/2007 11:04:38

LEISURERoma 50 SilverVery disappointing, condensation leaked down the inside of the doors and left puddles on my kitchen floor. New models now come with a drip tray to solve the problem. Also had trouble with the top oven as it has a button mechanism to allow the grill to work when door open and when the closes is supposed to revert to oven, but mine didn`t. 1 out of 5Anon03/06/2007 07:33:28

ZANUSSIZCE7701XPaid nearly £700 for this oven. All the knobs are broken, the silver tops have fallen off all of them and half of them are now missing the plastic bits with the numbers on. The oven lets off some kind of smell that makes my eyes water when cooking. Have cleaned it and it still does that. Clean it weekly to make it better but still not right. Worst oven I have ever owned and I`ve had a few. 1 out of 5Anon16/04/2007 11:14:05

BELLING317this has got to be the worse cooker i have ever had,it is an absolute nightmare to clean ,the hob rings stain and i have tried everything to clean them.the rings seem to stay hot for a long time after you have turned them off,so hence fingers have been burnt and so has food, the instrutions that come with the cooker are about as much help as....wish i,d never brought this . 1 out of 5tracy02/04/2007 14:25:55

INDESITKD6C7EWThis cooker is the worst cooker I have ever owned. It was purchased brand new from Comet and after 3 days of use the main oven door handle snapped in half. It was replaced and after a week it came away from the glass door, Leaving the oven door to be very dangerous as the door was held together by the actual screws which hold the handle.

The handle has since snapped again and again at a cost of £30 a handle approx. Now indesit have modified the design and you have to purchase an entire glass door if the handle breaks - Which it has 5 times in 15 months! At the cost of £48 plus vat.

I would not recommend any indesit products, We purchased the cooker, Tumble dryer and washing machine at the same time as matching appliances.

The only thing that has never needed servicing is the washing machine (Touch wood!). The cooker has broken 4 times and the tumble dryer 3 times (One time actually shorting all my electrics and melting its moulded plug!).

I would advise everyone to steer clear of indesit products, They are not very good and their customer service is rubbish!!!

I would rate this product zero if I had the option!

INDESITKD3C1(W)/GHinges on oven door snapped within a week of purchase. Indesit then took a week to send an engineer who then had to order in new hinges. Inherently bad desing caused the hinges to snap. 1 out of 5Anon27/02/2006 12:00:17

TebaTFG14 ssI also bought a TEBA cooker and the grill element blew after 2 years and I cannot obtain a new one due to the parts being obsolete I didn`t buy an extended warranty as these were advertised on television as not being worth the paper they were written on. I cannot believe retailers are selling goods that are obsolete after such a short time. They should be held responsible. 1 out of 5Sold shoddy goods02/02/2006 09:26:02

TebaTFG14 ssI bought this cooker 3 years ago and it has been nothing but trouble! It cremates everything no matter what temperature oven and hob! My best friend has the gas version and that does too! In the electric one you have to put all food near the bottom of the oven and in my friends gas one everything right at the top of the oven. Teba has gone out of business and there are no spare parts which i have just found out after the outer glass in the door EXPLODED across my kitchen floor this afternoon!! YES i do mean exploded with a tremendous bang. Unfortunately before it had finished cooking my chicken for lunch! I rang argos who didn`t want to know as i hadn`t purchased an extended warrenty ARGHHHH!!!then another woman said that they were out of business and that noone would take responsibility!! I AM SO DAMN MAD. Luckily my house insurance covers TRYING to fit a new piece of glass in the door which i hope they can`t and replace the cooker as i can`t wait to see the back of it. If i could i would rate it minus 1. Steer clear! At least they aren`t making anymore but don`t get conned into a second hand one. 1 out of 5RUBBISH ! WASTE OF MONEY !04/10/2005 10:04:57

HOTPOINTEW81 POLARVery poor product. Handles come loose/eventually come off. "Halogen" hob (RHS) works only on outer ring. (Unable to be fixed by engineers) - due to "modification" Prone to collect debris and food particles in crevices. Poor illumination, and poor heat transfer. BEKODV5531Wi don't think much of this cooker, i wish i hadn't bought it i have always had an gas cooker but thought i would give an electric one a try and as we are old age pensioners we had to get it through a mailorder cataque and 20 days out of ganrantee the fan oven has broken down and as i said we are pensioners and cannot afford to get it repaired, i think a cooker should last at least for 5yrs i had my gas one for 10yrs and it never went wrong, so i will not be buying anything from Beko again 1 out of 5dissapointed02/04/2004 09:17:56

BEKODC3511 whiteThis cooker is not worth a review.

The thing is as "tinny" as it gets... the entire thing reeks of "cheap tin" from the fact that the grill door does not open totally flat, (a safety item?) to the nasty cheap oven tray and grill tray (that are in fact the same) The grill only cooks food at the back of the grill, and the oven? god help you if you spill oil on it... no matter what you do, the thing STINKS of burning oil for WEEKS!!!

as for the rating below? I gave it a "1" as there was no negative numbers available... AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!!

ZANUSSIZCE8020AXI ordered a ZCE8020AX cooker, after Zanussi had delivered it, I unpacked it and noticed it had a VERY large dent all the way down one side.

After a lot of fuss they finally sent me a replacement, but this was MUCH WORSE, not only was the whole of the front of the cooker out of line with the chassis, the hinges on the main oven door were going RUSTY!

After several calls to them I got nowhere, despite telling Zanussi customer services that the cooker had rust on it they refused to replace it without an engineer seeing it first.

I contacted the retailer, who then contacted Zanussi. The retailer informed me that Zanussi had agreed a replacement and gave me a reference number to quote to Zanussi.

I called Zanussi and quoted the reference number but was still greeted with the same dogma "We don't give replacements without an engineer seeing it first".

So needless to say I cancelled the order and am getting a Smeg instead.

I took loads of pictures of the cookers with my digital camera though!

BEKODVC6631An utter piece of rubbish. Door constantly falls off. Door catches snap. Indicator neons drop inside out of reach. The control knobs lose the numerals so you have to guess the settings. The front fascia stains badly from the heat coming from the grill. Then to cap it all the door fell of again today and shattereed the glass. #60 for a new one. Don`t touch with a barge pole!! Stick to quality appliances like Siemens, Miele, Bosch, AEG you won`t regret it. Give it a Minus 20 out of 5. 0 out of 5Mal01/08/2009 08:59:00
