In a compact and light-weight body, it packs 37 full-size, velocity sensing keys, along with two-timbre/eight-voice performance power. The sound generator section uses the same acclaimed MMT (Multiple Modeling Technology) used by the KORG RADIAS, delivering thick, gutsy, and crisp analog sounds. With quality that will satisfy both professionals and beginners, the R3 is a great choice for adding synth sounds on stage or in music production. Korg R3 Features 128 Programs, all organized by sound category for fast access. An R3 Program consists of two complete Timbres – each is a complete synth sound including dual Insert effects. The Program itself offers a master effect, plus an 8 step arpeggiator. Two oscillators combine to offer analog-modeled waves, PCM waves, noise, ring mod and more. Waveform modulation, Variable Phase Modulation (VPM), Unison voice thickening, PWM and cross-mod expand the sonic palette. Dual Filters can run in series, parallel, or side by side (individual for each oscillator). Filter1 features a resonant filter design covering 24 dB low pass, 12 dB low pass plus 12 dB high and band pass, with continuously variable “morphing” between these states.
