Amazon were as always amazing, quick delivery, not too hard to build, insturctions and tools pretty clear. Great for unfit people who are not too used to excercise. Only bad point about the bike is the seat is a little uncomfortbale but thats probably due to me not being used to sitting on a bike, and im sure ill get used to it.

I had a good look at all the reviews on the york C101 cycle and i have not been disappointed,It was well packaged and it is just as described by most reviewers, very quiet in use, well made and i found it easy to assemble. you even get the tools to do this. The range of saddle height adjustment is great the family range from 62 to 410 no problems. I found the 1-8 tension settings more than adequate.

I like this cycle. A little heavy perhaps but so far (a few weeks) it is performing well. One particular positive- Im not very good at DIY and I wondered how Id get on assembling it. In fact it was done easily in less than two hours! The instructions were clear and easy to follow

A good solid piece of kit that was relatively easy to assemble and has lived up to all my expectations - happy to give it a 5* rating and recommend it to anyone looking for a good basic exercise bike - a quality product at a reasonable price.

Excellent Value for money Only problem is that I find that the gear ratio is a bit high and I am struggling to do any distance of length Although this will be more than likely be due to being totally unfit and now trying to use muscles that have not been seen for many a year But will need to persevere

i bought this cycle before the price went up (im thankful for that) and it turned out to be very good indeed. for this price it was a steal and quite easy to assemble:took us 1 hour but half was spent finding the screws to the LED console. in the end the screws were behind the console: always read the instructions ( i found out the hard way). anyways, its a great product and really worth it. quite smooth and easy to use. NICE one YORK!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is an outstanding bike for those seeking an at-home gym set-up. Ive had it a month so far, and find it to be excellent quality and actually easy to use: particularly that it is magnetic-powered - no wires or fuss- and it runs as soft as a whisper, which the neighbours will appreciate. The sole negative was the trouble I had setting up the bike: the tension cable was loose inside the upper frame which required a handyman to come in and fix (This was more of a defect with the bike, but returning it would have been more trouble than the problem was worth- York just were unhelpful in any case). But it was easily taken care of, and for the more DIY-able out there, may not even require professional help to solve!

Not 5 star but not far off. Definitely a great product. Burn around 300 calories on the medium level of resistance (4th out of 8) and burn around 500 calories in 50-55 minutes.
Good points:
1. Pretty easy and quick to put together. 2. Feels sturdy. 3. Fits in even small rooms easily and not particularly heavy. 4. Gives you a good workout and gets your heartbeat going, 20-30 minutes a day good for a start but you can then increase.
Bad points:
1. A bit uncomfortable (sitting) if used for over 30-35 minutes but not horribly uncomfortable, just put something softer on the seat possibly.
Overall, a good purchase and very pleased.

This is easy to put together with all the bits, tools are supplied along with detailed instructions (although you look at them last!). It usually takes me some time to build out of a box but this was childs play. The cycle is used by my wife and me. We are different heights and weights but that is no problem for this cycle as the adjustments (saddle height, pedal friction) are changed within seconds. Monitoring speed, distance time and calories used as well as scan mode is changed on the fly. It is light enough to be lifted away when not used but remains solid and stable when in use. Good value for money too!

It was fairly easy to assemble, which took about 30 minutes and they also supply you with all of the necessary tools (spanner/alan key etc) so youve got everything you need to get it assembled. Make sure all of the screws are all nice and tight though to aquire a nice solid feel about it, I cannot stress that enough! When Im using it I turn the handles flat so that theyre pointing directly forwards from the cycle, this is great for watching TV whilst your on it (no obstructed view!) and the grip still feels comfortable. The cycle rides well and I think it has a more pro feel about it than a lot of cycles Ive used at the gym, which Ive found to be shakey sometimes. Its is also very quiet, which is great because if one desires to use it during the late hours it wont wake anyone up. The only negative Ive found about it is the seat; I do find it quite uncomfortable and if it wasnt for that I would have given this product a full 5 stars.
All in all its a great cycle at a fair price, highly recommnded.

I purchased the York C101 Cycle as a Christmas present for my wife. The cycle was easy to put together and appeared well made. Unfortunately there have been two problems with the bike, both of which happened within a few weeks of use. First the mechanism has been rubbing against the bike casing, restricting movement and making noise, secondly one pedal has literally `torn`, making the bike unusable. I am currently contacting York to ask for a replacement...

When I decided to lose weight I started searching for a treadmill. The best treadmill I found was the `Reebok I-Run` model, which is reasonably priced and gets great reviews. It was available at argos for only £250 but I had to wait 35 days for delivery. I thought I will start of with this exercise bike and not lose my motivation until then.
I was expecting this exercise bike to be a side equipment that I would use from time to time once I got my treadmill.
Im so glad I bought this item. I absolutely love cycling. If I had started with a treadmill I wouldnt be able to run more than 10 minutes. But with this bike the first day I did 60min (2x30). The next day I increased to 90min (3x30) and Im still continuing that way every day!
Besides there is the noise factor that was bothering me about the treadmill idea. I dont want to bother my upstairs neighbours with the treadmill noise. This bike nearly creates no noise at all although Im using it on laminated floor. I use it early in the morning, at midnight, even after midnight all the time.
Ive put this in the living room in front of the TV. I like wearing my sennheiser wireless headphones while Im on the bike, especially when its late. This way I can concentrate more on the TV. Without the TV I would be watching clocks all the time. I pick programs that I especially like. It makes the exercise much easier.
The image in my mind about doing exercises has been always someting tough and tiring. I tried the gym but didnt succeed. I went there only 3 times in 6 months.
Now Im burning 900 calories every day while watching TV. You will burn 300 calories in a 30 minute sessions. At first it might take around 35 minutes depending on your speed and difficult level.
If you want to burn more calories in shorter time you need to increase either your speed or the difficulty level. I find it easier to increasing speed. I like to keep difficult at level 3 and go fast at that level. It takes about 28 minutes to burn 300 calories that way.
The only thing that could be better is the seat I think. Although it is comfortable it still hurts a bit after 30 minutes. I guess it will get better over time.
I bought this item for £109.99 and it turned out to be a more suitable equipment than a £250 treadmill. I finally have a realistic way for losing weight. If it is still at that discount price, I suggest that you buy it while you can. Definitely a great product.
