Arrived today - spent 35 mins putting it together to find when I plug the power in - nothing but a constant beeping and no power to the display. Build quality of the bike looks good - electics look pretty cheap - asked for a replacement as my daughter wants it - top tip before you go to the trouble of building it - plug in the display and power it up and see if it works ? saves a whole lot of time of it dont

This exercise machine is exceptionaly well made and is fit for purpose. It is easy to use with a variety of exercise to suit all ages (Ime 79) and every one down to my grand children find it fun to use. I run a health company that stops people getting hay feve etc and this machine helps to provides immediate proof of the restoration of the patients respiratory system. My heartfelt thanks. This is the first exercise bike I have ever owned and I am really pleased with my decision. I was worried I would become bored on it, but there are plenty of programmes to keep you interested. It is a well made machine and easy to put together. Whisper quiet, as I have mine at present in the living room and can watch tv while on it. I did find the seat wide at first, so took a little getting used to. I wouldnt recommend this for smaller people, Im about 5 6` and its fine for me, but I am on hte lowest setting. All in all, a great machine, that does the job!

York C201 Cycle This has just arrived and apart from my hubby having to lift the box in for me - I have put it together - plugged it in and just finished my first work out. Havent quite got the seat in the right position as I have short legs, but working on it, figured out the monitor. It is very sturdy and for the money it is definitely the very best for this price bracket. Have worked out it will actually pay for itself in 15 weeks with both of us using it

Unfortunately the item I received was faulty and would not work. The electrical connection socket on the consul was missing and so it could not be connected, a very basic fault. Amazon didnt have a replacement so I ordered the next model the c202 but when this arrived it was so badly damaged it couldnt be assenbled. It should not have been sent in that condition. Amazon did not have any more in stock so I obtained one from another company which also has an electrical fault and I am waiting for an engineer to fix it. Having spoken to York they are well aware of the problems and there is a waiting time of four weeks for an engineer because they have had so many complaints. Because of my experiences I would not recomend any York fitness products as the quality is poor.

Excellent product. Easy to assemble & use. Only complaint is minimum seat height - you must be at least 54` but it will probably raise to suit 7 footers! Which is more likely?

York C201 Cycle A good bit of kit. Easy to assemble and easy to use. The selector button on the display panel seems a bit unresponsive at time. Would recommend to others and had good reviews on a website compiled by personal trainers.

This is a good sturdy bike and as other reviews have said it doesnt take too long to assemble. However, the magnet which controls the tension inside the bike was stuck so it was a bit tricky to peddle!!! Amazon and York Helpdesk were both brilliant. Sent it back and have had a speedy refund. Would like to reorder this bike but am concerned the same thing will happen again. Apparently the bike just needs to be knocked in transit and the magnet sticks.

I purchased this bike from Amazon as I thought it would be a good mid range bike for the whole family to use. The first bike arrived and was user friendly to put together. However, there was an electrical fault which meant it had no power so could not be used. I took the bike apart, repacked it and sent it back. All time consuming and inconvenient.
Amazon sent a second bike. After unpacking and building it, this one was faulty. The resistance was so great, that it was like the bike was seized up and it could not be adjusted.
Having had two of these bikes, I would be reluctant to recommend this particular model.

I have been attending a fitness room over the past year, but due to an ankle injury, I havent been able to go. This bike is quiet, gives a brilliant work out(I am doing 1hr a day). It fits my son, 6ft 5` and my daughter 5ft 2`. There are not many home excersise machines that can do that. There are two screw holes in the front strut, totally suitable for a drink bottle cage.So that problem solved.Lovely large saddle- I needed that bit. Cant think of anything that is missing.

Im young and trying to improve my fitness from almost zero having spent the last few months fighting a blood cancer. The bike came with excellent instructions and was easy to assemble. Standing at 57` I use the bike on second shortest height setting. The bike wouldnt be suitable for people with short legs, however if you had an electric drill one could make further notches to shorten the saddle another couple of inches. The seat has been designed for someone with a very large bottom and although not uncomfortable for someone stick-thin like myself, it wasnt at all what I am used to on a bike. I replaced the saddle with one of ordinary size from my local bike shop. This is easy to do as they follow a standard design.
The only part of the bike one cannot adjust is the distance of the handlebars from the pedals. The handlebars are quite far away, more so than youd get on an ordinary bike as this one has to accommodate the largest of users. Its not uncomfortable, just not ideal. Also as one doesnt have to steer on an exercise bike (whod have thought, eh?) using the handle bars isnt always necessary.
The display and settings are very good and the resistance settings at the highest level would give a good workout to even an Olympic cyclist, by no means easy! I wouldnt have thought so before I bought the bike, but the heart-rate monitor is indispensable. It works accurately (after you give it 15 seconds to count your pulse) and will prevent you from over-working your heart, which is my case is the muscle Im truly looking to get fit.
The convenience of being able to exercise without having to rely on the weather, the danger of exercising in a busy city, or even having to get properly dressed is a huge bonus to me. The effortless way I can gauge my progress and performance is highly motivational too. I cant really imagine youd get much more by spending 2 or 3 times this bikes price on another make or model.
