This is certainly a well made piece of kit. I have had mine for over 5 years now and it is still going strong. I must admit that I am a bit of a kitchen gadget addict. I currently have two other processors in use along with this one, and I have to say that this is generally the third choice option. I suppose a lot of it is down to the size. It is quite small, so is only suitable for certain jobs. It is easy to over-fill and, as it has not got a terribly powerful motor, it doesnt cope well with this. For this reason my amazing Cuisinart processor is favoured for most jobs. And when i do want to quickly chop a few things I tend to reach for the attachment to my hand-held blender. I suppose I am trying to say this processor has become redundant. I still rate because it is very well made...just think carefully about when you might use it.

It hums so quietly, yet powerfully pureeing your soups, sauces, and pestos. Its as the chef Gino DAcampo would say: `Minimum effort, maximum satisfaction`. Lexan construction is ever so strong and shatterproof. One other reason I bought this product was because the main blade is Sabatier, and I own one of their excellent bread knives. I had the 2.9litre Kenwood FP615 which was too big for me, and this little mini food processor is better designed despite being so compact. What a gem!

The accessories are neatly stored in the accompanying plastic box, and are easy to use - if you follow the instuctions carefully!! Very robust and well-made - I wouldnt be without it.
Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 10Feb2009 | | | I ordered this processor after I bounced the bowl of my Waring duet blender/processor (see separate review) and broke some of the plastic lugs which held the lid on. It turns out that its essentially impossible to get a spare bowl and so I looked for a complete replacement. The Magimix doesnt do (at least in theory) as much, as its just a processor and doesnt have a blender jug. But the build quality is fabulous, the spare parts are easy and cheap to get and it feels much more solid than the Waring. The motor is also very quiet and it makes very short work of chopping whatever you throw into it. The mini bowl, which sits (after a bit of fiddling) on top of the larger bowl, looks a bit gimmicky, but its really good for chopping small amounts of things like garlic. The processor also comes with several other attachments, including juicer, a whisk, and a grater, none of which Ive tried. I liked the Waring a lot, but this processor is really a great deal better, at least for my purposes; its weighty, more sturdily constructed, looks good and strikes me as better value for money.
