BoschKTR16A21This fridge is fantastic. I went for this over the slimmer one and have not looked back. It has excellent shelving and a really spacious two drawer salad crisper. It has good build quality which you would expect from Bosch and so far no complaints. 5 out of 5Tara11/12/2007 13:21:10

BEKOLA120WGood value. Spacious. Good shelving arrangement. However, glass shelves mean jars roll around when put on their side. Noisy when cooling. 4 out of 5P Nottingham, Scunthorpe10/07/2008 18:59:29

Cool ItMini FridgeI own it, and I loved it, but I am currently looking for another one, because I use to keep it on my nightstand, and one day after a month or so of using it, the frige just stop working. It got my drinks really cold while it was running, but I`m concerned about the life of this product. I will give it another try (for my college daughter`s desk), but if it doesn`t last for at least a year, then this will be the last time I buy the product. It`s a shame, because it is a nice little gadget to have... no going all the way to the kitchen at night, turning on the lights and waking everyone up, just because you`re thirsty! 4 out of 5Tina10/10/2007 12:06:23

HOTPOINTRLA34GI have had mine since Sept 05 but the compressor has started to make a whining noise and the fridge is freezing up inside.I have had a local hotpoint service engineer look at it but he has said that it would be more cost effective to buy a new one than have it repaired.I would definately purchase the extended guarantee if you are thinking of buying this product, I wish I had at the time. 3 out of 5S Robson07/11/2007 14:31:30

FRIGIDAIRERLE1405This fridge has been giving me grief since I bought it last July. It does not appear to self defrost. I had the engineer out in October and he put in a new thermostat but after a while it appeared NOT to work again properly so I called the engineer again and had a replacement fridge and yes you have guessed!!! It still does not defrost itself even though it is generally set at 3 which to me is not particularly cold! I think its time to call the engineer again :( 3 out of 5Lorna Doone26/06/2006 12:58:41

HOTPOINTRLA34GWe purchased ours in August 2006 and took out a 2 yr extended warranty with D&G. We extended this warranty for a further year (thankfully) and like the previous reviewer we had the same problem with a high pitched whining noise which drove us nuts. Indesit engineers, via the D&G warranty plan, visited us 4 times, 1 visit to assess the problem, 2nd visit (2 weeks later) to change the compressor and re-gas the system, 3rd visit (1 week later) to de-gas and refill the system again (overcharged with gas first time) and changed thermostat as we could not regulate the fridge temperature, 4th and final visit, (8 weeks later as the system did not stabilise, would not shut down and continued to make popping and a consistant highpitched whining noise). Finally the Indesit engineer said he could not fix it and wrote it off. D&G have agreed to replace it BUT..... read the policy small print - D&G make a #37 delivery charge for the replacement, cancel the policy and offer a further extended policy when agreeing the replacement date. The replacement is a like for like but I have lost faith in this Hotpoint product. I have heard of other folks locally who have had similar experiences and would not recommend this fridge to anyone now. I would suggest anyone be cautious before buying a hotpoint fridge. I have never had any problems with Electrolux fridges /freezers in the past but chose this hotpoint model as it was in the colour (graphite) we wanted in 2006. 1 out of 5P. Hagger01/02/2009 13:26:45

BOSCHKUR15A40GBI would not recommend this fridge. The salad drawer is unusable, due to the positioning of the bottom shelf. The shelves are also prone to cracking. The design is poor and the support is unhelpful and rude. 1 out of 5sal16/08/2008 12:32:57

DometicEAO302cYes, I bought this model `fridge in 1993 and it has been efficient easy to clean absolutly silent not too small, easy to cram lots of foodstuff in, the shelves are moveable

After ten years, the freezer did not get quite cold enough to make ice cubes and now at thirteen years, it only gets down to 2 degrees, if the airconditioning my the kitchen is swithed on, as in summertime. I am going to buy a replacement because a new one will fit in the same space the black colour front looks `elegant` because there is a slight reflection on the glossy surface.

The `fridge cost me £180.00 in 1993.

Go for it. Daniel, Parish of Westminster.

BOSCHKTL1503I have had this fridge for a few years. It is quiet and very powerful. Even in summer the thermostat does not have to be pushed beyond 3 or things can get really cold at the back. It can be configured to have two or three shelves. Having only two allows you to put short bottles inside. The freezer has three stars and ice cubes can be obtained quickly. It is a very good product if you want to have everything under the work surface, fridge and freezer. 5 out of 5Simon27/08/2006 15:35:41

LGGR-151SSFI found 1 of these dumped in a entry near my house the other day, My fridge had broken down litrally the day bfore so I draged the Lg to my garage so I could salvage its compressor. It looks badly beaten up but I thought I`d give it a try bfore I tore it apart to seen if it still works, and it did, perfectly. WHIRLPOOLARC 0500A nice fridge, but the build quality on mine is dodgy. Bottome plate front and back bent. Missing screws and loose fittings. Vegetable bins don`t slide, catch the glass shelves. Nice looking but not sure of the quality. I bought from Co-Op and they don`t want to know about the problems, so wouldn`t recommend anyone buys from them. BEKOTLA6018Basically bought this fridge about a year ago. Main reason for buying was that it was a good size without being too deep unlike alot of other large fridges. BEKOTLA6018My 10 year old BEKO fridge EXPLODED because it used PROPANE! believe it or not, as a refrigerant.Apparently, after polyhalogenated hydrocarbons were banned by Environmental Goody Two-Shoes legislation, some FOOLS decided to put the highly flammable and sometimes explosive substance Propane(Plumbers` Blow lamp Gas) in refrigerators. This was a TIME BOMB in our house waiting to go off. Our kitchen was a smoking ruin after the fire, and it took months to restore the house to habitability. It was only by a miracle of timing that my wife, who was in the house at the time, was not burned to death. If you have a BEKO(or maybe many other kind of fridge of a certain vintage, have it checked and THROW IT OUT, if propane is the refrigerant. 1 out of 5Dr Rob Johnston docrob44@tiscali.co.uk04/05/2009 14:48:43

BEKOLB721WDO NOT BUY THIS FRIDGE! I bought this last July and what a surprise that just outside the 12 month warranty period the thermostat broke. First of all it started to freeze everything and then it went to the other extreme and was barely any different to room temperature. Not a problem when you can get a new thermostat for £15 and have a father in law to fit it. Except that the whole fridge is glued together so that you can`t take it pieces to fit the new part. Clearly this is a deliberate ploy by the manufacturers. I would not touch Beko products with a barge pole after this experience. We took the risk of not taking out the extended warranty because it was a quarter of the cost of the fridge again but the gamble has definitely not paid off as I have now had to buy another fridge 13 months later. Not a Beko one I hasten to add. 1 out of 5Unsy12317/08/2006 21:00:40

SERVISM7611-6SHave had this fridge for 3 years now. Major fault with the shelf system. The plastic trim round each of the shelves, which is not removeable or replaceable and is required to hold the shelf in it`s vertical position, has shattered at the rear left hand corner of 4 out of 5 shelves. This renders each shelf unuseable. All 4 shelves broke within a 6 week period with no obvious reason. Servis, when contacted proved no help at all and denied that this was a potential design fault. To repair I will have to buy 4 complete shelves at a cost of approximately £100. I would not recommend this product and will never buy another Servis item as long as I live. 1 out of 5Martin Shackleton02/11/2005 11:11:50

ELECTROLUXER1643TThe instructions recommend setting the fridge at between 3 to 4 on the control but this is too warm. It needs to be kept at the maximum of 5. The instructions also state that in order to allow the air to circulate, do not cover the wire shelves with paper or trays. The shelves are actually made of glass, and air circulation is very poor. The fridge warms up as soon as the door is opened. Drinks do not chill and butter kept at the front is spreadable minutes after being taken out, yet the temperature at the back can freeze eggs if they end up there. Even with the fridge set tilted so the base is not parallel to the floor, the door will swing right open if you do not keep hold of it. This has got a 4 star freezer compartment but I would not take that as a reason for buying it because everything else is very poor. 1 out of 5Gary27/08/2005 11:02:27

MIELEK2316SThe layout of the fridge is brilliant however we have been having problems with the temperature. When it"s hot outside we"ve found it hard to keep it cool and vice versa. BEKOTLS480WNothing but trouble with mine from the word go!

Interior light difficult to get at for replacement bulb [which needed replacing after only a few weeks and didn't work anymore despite umpteen replacement bulbs]Di. Thermostat dodgy leading to overheating and consequent persistent over-defrosting which drainage hole could not cope with as evaporation not fast enough. This led to constant leaking from bottom of fridge which eventually coroded the metal hinge at bottom of door causing the door to fall off!!

My appliance is only 3 years old and I gave up asking the engineer to come out as he would try fixing the problem only for it to come back again the next day. I guess you only get what you pay for.

SERVISM7611-6SGreat to hear your experience with the Servis larder fridge. My lower shelf which broke within the first 4 months of use is propped up at the back with a tin of lychees and a jar of jam! I enquired about the cost of a new shelf, somewhere in the region of £40. I suspected a design fault when another shelf broke. I am constantly frustrated by this and even though the fridge works well I shall have to buy a new one soon. I have not contacted customer service though from your experience they were not too helpful. HOTPOINTRL78SI own both the RL78S and the matchinng freezer RZ68S(happy to say this is ok). I purchased both in setp2001 and in March 2005 had to replace the thermostat at a cost of £23.01.
