Avoid this piece of junk, as with most black & decker products they are made of cheap plastic parts that break & wear quickly so you have to buy replacements to soon, spool housing so bad that it should be metal & solid instead of varios flimsey plastic parts that eat up line after line, i went mad when i came home & found she had brought this rubbish, best thing i did with it was shout at it while wrapping it round the tree in the garden, only giving rating of 1 for design as its just the right height to fit in the wheely bin!

I have put new spool on and taken the line out of the holdong hole but leaft it secured to the other two holes and just strimmed the edge of lawn wonderfully.

junk. Even the official Black & Decker web shite (sic) has no info on how
one should replace the spool effectively. Oh! But they`ll show you plenty
pretty pictures of a bloke happily strimming away. Wait until he has to
replace the spool line.
Recommend saving time by buying a pair of garden shears. You`ll save time
by not farting around trying to make the bloody spool and line work
properly.
Nice one B&D another permanently lost customer.

Within approximately 10 minutes after buying it, one of the lines of feed must of got jammed which caused the other line to scatter over the garden in a matter of seconds .. thinking this was a random occurence, I bought another spool which was £6 .. again not long after using it, the line was scattered all the garden in bits, absolute rubbish. Mine will be shortly binned. AVOID!!!

to release it. I was reluctant to do this - it could cause warranty
replacement problems.
Still very much ``experimenting with winding on new nylon line. The
brochure (with mine) didnt mention the GL315 causing uncertanty.
So far the design and development does not answer the problems that seem
to beset most strimmers. The old ``get out and get under`` phylosophy
remains.
