| Holden | Monsoon Wallpaper Textured Vinyl Duck Egg | Good quality - thick wallpaper. very easy to hang. Beautiful calming colour and pattern -not too overpowering on a feature wall. Always attracts very positive comments. Slightly textured so covers minor faults. | | deco - rater | 30/10/2009 16:14:05 |

| Holden | Rose Textured Wallpaper Snow 10024 | This is horrible wallpaper: cheap, thin and impossible to match the pattern. Even dry the pattern doesn`t match up, and its worse when wet and stretched. The black linear markings smudge while you are putting it on the wall. | | Fifty | 13/04/2013 |

| Wilkinson Plus | Arthouse Opera Mia Motif Wallpaper | This wallpaper took my eye when I was looking for a bold and beuatiful wallpaper to put on the main wall of my bedroom as a feature wall. Goes up easy enough, but be careful of stretching the paper. I`ve also coloured some edges in with a dark brown felt tip pen (handy tip there!) as once it dried some edges shrank away from each other leaving a small but noticeable white line. Looked simply stunning once the wall was completed, and I used a plain cream wallpaper on the other walls to make it stand out even more! Love it so much I am already eyeing up the plum coloured paper in the same pattern for my spare bedroom! | | Hondagal, Manchester | 10/03/2012 |

| Unbranded | Paintstick | Out of all the paint roller aids I have used this one is by far the best. The reason it works so well is it is mechanically simple. Since B&Q have dropped stocking it its more difficult to obtain (but they still stock the battery based mechanical monsters that get gummed up quickly!). I am on my second - wore the first one out after painting a lot of rooms over a number of years. | | John | 23/07/2007 18:25:31 |

| Unbranded | Plasplugs Compact Plus Diamond Wheel Electric Tile Cutter | This product is fine.as with all wet cutters of course you have to add the water to help with the ease of cutting of the tile. The clear wheel guard is very useful as that way you can see the marks you have made on the tile without the need to lift it as anyone will know to much water or lifting the guard or not being down properly will cause small fragments & water to go on your face or even worse your eyes, you can use goggles or work specs for this but not putting your face so close to the cutter that you could actually cut off your nose will make life easier!. When buying anyone of these products yeah its good to read the reviews it makes life easier but just cause some one dont like it does not mean you wont. Some of the cheaper ones have coloured wheel guards there rubbish you cant see what your cutting unless your a mind reader & can remember were the marks are without having to stop & start the cutter But if you purchase the ones with the see through ones its makes life easier for all who want to use it. As with all cutters watch your fingers & if you need to get close to the edge use an old piece of tile to push the tiles that has to be cutted that way it will cut into the old piece while easily pushing the new tile forward rather than loosing a finger. If I can do it without all the manuals & need to hire someone anyone can do it, just dont rush the job & you will be fine | | Nicola | 01/03/2008 09:56:50 |

| BLACK and DECKER | ATM100 automatic tape measure | A bulky nuisance. No substitute for an ordinary tape measure, one free hand and a good set of teeth. It can be used as a bog standard tape measure once the batteries have died but it is awkward and the tape retrieval button isn`t easily accesible. Aimed at the D.I.Y.er with more money than sense or skill. It`s innadequacy and undesirability are surely reflected in the massive reduction in price since it`s introduction. Mine was a present and I`ve exausted the batteries exploring the novelty of this useless gadget. Now it`s going on Ebay. I`m hoping for a decent bid but to be honest if I needed a new tape measure I`d go to poundland. I`ve rated it a 2 as it does work as a tape measure but so does every other tape measure and most are as cheap as chips | | tommytapeproductions .com | 26/09/2008 07:29:57 |

| Earlex | 120 watt Spray Gun | GOOD GOD, what a waste of time and money........There is a fundemental design fault in the unit. The front screw thing will not screw straight or tight so the exessive vibration of the piston causes the thread thing to pop off, and it makes a god awful racket. Thank goodness I only paid #20 for it ( although the hose was missing! ). Back to the brush...AAAARRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH. | | Dee | 03/12/2008 08:16:10 |

| Earlex | Super Spray 100 | Bought one to use for spraying the fence and shed with stain/preservative. In the end decided it would be faster with a toothbrush. The added bonus of the toothbrush is you can throw it away and not spend 2 hours cleaning it after use. Seriously, don`t bother with any of the spray guns electric or pump up, I`ve tried both and they are a waste of time. They might work better if you are prepared to mix the stain for about half an hour and then strain it through a pair of ladies stockings/tights (without the lady in them, unless of course you are into that sort of thing - it`s a free country. Well it was before Labour came to power). Unless the liquid to be sprayed is completely free of any lumps you will be struggling. It might be Ok for other things though, I only tried it with fence stain. | | Mr Sick of painting the fence with a brush | 09/04/2008 08:14:25 |

| Laura Ashley | POLKA DOT WALLPAPER | Have to be careful with this one as the old batches are beautiful and look hand painted but the new batches seem to have a cheap look to them and not a true polker dot. They have a pink dot in the middle and look machine printed. I took a sample paper and then went back to buy a few rolls, on return home found them completely different to the sample roll. Not as much depth on the new version very flat. Must be a new supplier. | | Anon | 27/02/2008 09:17:41 |

| Ryobi | Air-Grip Laser Level | I agree - this product is not worth the 60.00 canadian that I paid for it - and after only 1 year it doesn`t even adhere to the wall any more | | ryobisucker | 25/04/2006 09:42:53 |

|
| Earlex | 120 watt Spray Gun | This is possibly the most useless piece of equipment I have ever come across. Not only does it seize up every 5 minutes and need to be cleaned but after half days use the piston has be come detached from its driver. Please display this to prevent others wasting their money. Probably OK for spraying creosote but this easy to brush paint anyway. | | John Keepax | 10/04/2006 15:44:07 |

|
| Ryobi | Air-Grip Laser Level | My advice is not to buy it.
First, it is inaccurate. The projected line is noticeably off level despite the bubble saying otherwise. This is true for vertical and horizontal.
Second, the projected line is not stable. Vibrations on the wall where the product is adhered to shifts the projected line. This is a problem if drilling or hammering.
Third, the base mars the wall by leaving a black outline of itself upon removing the product. (And yes, I cleaned the base before adhering it to the wall--as instructed.)
In short, don`t buy it.

|
| Challenge | Electric Tile Cutter | The double ruler is helpful as you can compensate the lack of accuracy in millimetres, mine was 3mm out of square. According to the instructions, the tank needs to be filled 3/4 full. This then enables the machine to spray 1/8 of the tank over the operator and a further 3/8 is distributed over the surface behind the machine. This allows for 1/4 of a tank for the wheel to work in, but this will need to be topped-up as the wheel is hardly in contact with the water, then it starts all over again.
Impressed? no way! This is definitely being returned to the supplier. | | crickladegom | 27/11/2006 10:25:37 |

| Earlex | 120 watt Spray Gun | Absolute rubbish. Tried spraying Dulux smooth masonry paint dilute 1 to 5 - it seized after 5 minutes. Paint seems to coat piston and seize. I followed all instructions to the letter lubricate etc. I now have paint everywhere what a complete waste of time. The wall looks like there has been a massive rain shower on the wet paint - pathetic!!! There isnt a rating low enough. | | Johnn Keepax | 10/04/2006 15:37:07 |
