Can wake up to music (you wouldn`t want to wake up to the buzzer, its awful) or set it to turn off automatically if you want to go to sleep to music. However, if you don;t own an apple product you can go screw yourself. There`s THREE adaptor plates for Apples crappy products yet no aux lead should you wish to use it with an MP3 player or other phone.
