Having relpaced a whistling `gas` kettle it was great to have an electric kettle that told you when it had boiled, and was umpteen times faster in boiling.

I have tried many kettles. I read all the reviews on several before buying this one. It is very fast, doesnt drip on pouring and looks stylish. I admit to having turned the whistle off lol but just a personal preference.

This kettle seems very robust, boils quickly, easy to fit onto the cental pin of the base, and is guaranteed for 2yrs. Just as well, as ours has ceased to heat after 7 months. One local rate call to Morphy Richards and they are sending a new one without me having to send them the old one back - seems excellent service.

Itis not particularly easy to see how full kettle is as you fill from tap and a more obvious/better system for this while you are at the sink would be far preferable than the useless and unecessary glow - which rather gives the impression that some particularly nasty chemical reaction is taking place - that highlights the water depth only after you have carted the kettle over to the power point and switched on.
The whistling sound is definitely not going to waft you nostalgically back to your childhood, as it is a dreadful electronic shriek which thanfully if you wish (and believe me, you will) you can swith off.
Kettle is light and easy to handle. Boils water quickly and effectively enough which is after all the main point I suppose and with a 2 year guarantee you are going to get your moneys worth.
The colour is more grey than silver and kind of fades nicely into the background rather than being in your face.
So, not a must have buy but not one you will have any real cause to regret either.

I was very disappointed with this kettle - I expected good quality from such an established brand. It never switched off at the right time (either too soon or too late) and has now stopped working completely after only six months. As the saying goes `buy cheap buy twice`, which is what I will now have to do.

Great kettle. boils pretty fast and fairly quiet
Whistle/siren, about 3 seconds long is useful if youre
in another part of the house. Nice one and recommended.

A really nice kettle.I like the way you can switch this on and then go into another room and when the water boils,and switches of the kettle ,and alerts you with a whistle sound,which stops you having to keep checking to see if it has boiled.I also like the bright orange light when it is switch on,and by the way,you can switch the whistle of by turning the base over and inserting a pencel and sliding switch to off.I do agree that it does let steam out of the lid,but mine only done this at the start,and has started to decrease with use.When full it only takes less than 2 minutes to boil,so this is really fast,if you need a cup of tea/coffee in a hurry.Overall an excellent kettle.

I love this kettle - weve had one for more than a year now and no problems whatsoever. Im on here now buying one for a friend. Can I recommend that this is actually an excellent kettle if you have arthritis? It has a very easy open lid and is lightweight.
Dont listen to the doubting Thomasinas of this world - its a great kettle!
