Hi,
Im French. Ive settle down in London in 1999 fresh from France and I discovered that any proper English home has a kettle. In France we all had a filter coffee maker. So, off i went to buy a kettle for home and the (nice & cheap) toaster from the same brand to become a proper `Englishman`. I went for this brand which I didnt knew the existence because of the design and the brushed steel. I didnt want a plastiky one.
Since then this kettle has been used nearly everyday for almost 8 years (!). It has moved 4 times around London and is now with us in Brussels plugged in a power plug adaptator. I wouldnt say it is brand new. I need sometimes to remove the white thing coming out from water (chalk ?) with the help of some vinegar and the red button is not working properly since a few months now.
But, really it was a great buy. It went well for almost 8 years (!) now. I will definitly buy another one. Maybe I was lucky, but I think it is fair to speak about things when they do not go wrong. Particularly with a cool design and for cheap money.

Reviewed by: Amazon Reviewer Rating: Date Reviewed: 10Apr2007 | | | Purchased the first kettle which had intermittent spells of turning off too soon, not allowing water to boil, and was very noisy. Changed under warranty after 4 months. The second kettle was not so noisy, and operated fine for 1 month, then the same problem began to occur, not reaching boiling point. If this fault could be corrected, I would be happy, as everything else about it is fine.
