A reasonable mower for the price, but there are quality issues. Motor seized after only 1 1/2 seasons (Lower bearing, impossible to get at, should really be ball bearing). Would also agree it doesn`t really cut low enough.

excellent value for money from argos as my last flymo compact 300 micro lasted well over 4 years mowing 3 gardens until it decidede to die about 6.30pm the other night,it was a rush buy to get just a cheap mower from homebase but walked next door to argos and found this bargain, same price as there own budget range and very easy to use,you can buy replacement blades from b & q and the belts you can get advice from www.flymo.com.for the money i would not buy anything else, lets face it, if you are only going to mow a lawn why spend hundreds if you can get away with 60 quid.

I bought one of these and replaced it 3 times now, they only seem to last a short time, until the motor goes. The clip also falls off the plug connecting to the lawn mower. My friends got one too, and has had problems. A light machine with an average cut, but not very robust.

We have this Flymo mower and it has been brilliant, cuts grass well, collects all cuttings. Replaced blade once in several years.

A compromise. Cuts quite well, collects quite well. Grass box fills quickly and needs frequent emptying. Motor burnt out after 3 years, which is when I found out that dismantling is simple. Belt replacement would be a doddle (with suitable basic tools).

This was a brilliant mower for the first 4 or 5 times of use until the belt snapped, they are very hard to get hold of and nearly impossible to fit, I have ended up having to buy a new one. The tip is to keep your reciept, thats where i went wrong!
