SONYKDL20S3000Brought this tv back in April 2007 and couldnot be more pleased with it. We have it in the kitchen and is ideal as a spare tv,either in the bedroom or wherever. The sound is good and the picture quality crisp and colours clean as well. Easy remote control. Sony have a great range. We always have had Toshiba`s but for this ize screeen their product reviews were quite poor, hence us going for the Sony. Overhaul great product and VERY happy 5 out of 5Robin from Coventry18/07/2008 19:39:39

SAMSUNGPS50P96FDX/XEUWhat a fantastic looking Tv. That is the first thing that strikes you about this offering from Samsung. Whilst on normal Tv the picture quality is very good while the sound is adequate. Flip to Dvd and the picture quality is excelent whilst you are always wishing the sound would catch up. But turn to Blu-Ray, and this Tv quite simply takes your breath away. The detail and colouring, even in blacks, is absolutely fantastic but again the sound quality is a little below par. So, I hitched up a Bose 321 speaker packageand this is now the best TV I have ever owned or am likely to. I purchased my Tv from Comet in Chorley, (Lancs) and got an x-display model for only £1099 and the speaker package for £349 (not the dvd set as I have a ps3) so my system stands me at £1448 and is pure heaven. Go get one, James. 5 out of 5James02/05/2008 19:04:48

TechnikaLCD42207I got this today, I was in Tesco`s and I couldn`t help but wonder down to the TV section. I wasn`t 100% on the brand Technika in the shop because I hadn`t really heard about them, but it was a great price, Tesco`s return policy of 28 days for if you don`t like it made me think, what the hell ill buy it. The picture is mint, I`ve got it on 1080i on my Xbox 360 and the games just look gorgeous. The size is perfect, Its not too big and its not too small. The build quality seems good, it was easy to set up and it comes with a years warranty. So it`s so far so good, I`m really impressed with the quality, I can`t tell much difference between it and SONY BRAVIA 32 ` HD TV`s ( they are used in the PS3 Display units in shops)

ORIONTV32082This is a fantastic set for the money. I run BT vision via HDMI and a PS3 via HDMI. The Blu-ray DVD play back is breath taking and so are the games in HD. The picture via BT viosion is also very good. Watched full series on Heroes via Freeview (BT Vision) and the picture almost looked HD! The sound is also very good with plenty of mid range and bass. If you compare the picture quality with much more expensive screens you would really struggle to tell them apart. LG37LP1DI have had this TV for 2 years, its great, I use it mostly for the twin tube spilt screens. which comes in very handly. and the media inputs means that any memory card can fit directly into the TV set without the need for DVD or computer laptops.. this HDTV really draws the line between quality and cheap knock-offs. as you get what you pay for. 90% of HDTVs just don`t have the features of this TV set. the only thing I would of liked it a VGA input instead of DVI, but hey, no complaints. 5 out of 5Anon11/12/2007 13:23:11

SONYKDFE42A12Ua very very good price and a very very good tv. A good amount of connections and incorporates a BBE sound system built in. A convenient size (42 inches) big enough trust me, that fits in any room in the house if we wanted to move its current position. The picture quality is good but lacks contrast ratio and deep colour enrichment. Apart from that I am pleased with this tv as anyone else who brought this set should be too. 5 out of 5a good sony product11/06/2007 09:29:45

SONYKDFE50A12UWow. What can i say? Well a lot really. First off is the amount of comments this set recieves by friends and family. They are amazed at the size, looks, sound and picture quality overall. My close friend has a sammy 50 inch plasma but he doesn`t stop saying how the quality of the picture on this set is better than his. Even though this is a rear projection, i have to say it does beat many of the flat lcd and plasma ranges out there. The only downfall is that its missing a second hdmi port which the updated version has and full hd. Other than that a fantastic set which we are all very proud of but still to this day can`t figure out why its cheaper than others for what you get. 5 out of 5Anon11/06/2007 09:29:43

PHILIPS42PF5421Just bought this T.V and ive gotta say that im very impressed. If your looking for a budget BIG T.V then seriously think about this one. O.k it doesnt have and intergrated digital tuner but its not the end of the world. I have sky tv so this wasn`t an issue for me anyway (if i bought a tv with one in it wouldnt have been used) i also have an Xbox 360 which when run in 1080i looks the bee`s knee`s. i was amazed at the pure quality of the picture, how sharp and colourful HD really is (why i havn`t bought one before god only knows). Sky is also clear obviously its not going to be as good as HD but for the size of the tv i thought it may struggle a little as other LCDs ive seen even ones more expensive than this seem to, but to my surprise it doesn`t, blacks and darker shades of colours have a clean defined look which impressed me its very watchable. The sound that comes out of the speakers is also very good nice and crisp and quite punchy. Overall I`m glad that i chose the Philip`s over any of the other rival companies, well worth the money, if you want a good tv at a not so `break the bank price` then i would definately consider this one. 5 out of 5Christopher Norgrove04/03/2007 16:45:08

LG37LP1DExcellent. I`m more than happy with it. Back plastic panel is good for covering wires into back but can creak with changes in temp but otherwise cannot fault it. It is bulkier than others I have seen but that Just makes it feel like better quality. Swivel base good but limited and viewng angle is excellent. SharpLC32GD8ELovely TV that has few faults. Comes with built in freeview that offers stunning picture. Freeview image can jump if movement is present near the television, but still provides excellent quality viewing for a comparitively cheap price. Lovely looks and the speaker quality provides enough bass to move the stand (which can, of course, be altered). Great for viewing DVD films on. All in all this TV is great simply becuase it provides outstanding picture quality and sound for a price that will mostly get you 26` on other well known brands. Almost faultless television; well worth considering. 5 out of 5George02/01/2007 09:30:00

SONYKDLW40A12UWell, what can I say. This is the first TV I have bought in 15 years. My old one was a 25 inch sony trinitron which I have now promoted to the bedroom and is still going strong. Just like other people who have commented on this model, I too am very impressed with everything about it, from the picture quality and sound to the slick design - and I haven`t even got HD yet. I believe they have now stopped making these models and I only purchased my 10 months ago when they had just entered the market.

JVCLT37DS6BJPurchased just recently - very very happy!

Comet had reduced price to £1099 - extremely good value for money for a good brand 37`. Usually for this price would have to go with those brands you`ve never heard of. (things like wonkydonk!)

We were expecting the usual 4 hours...to set up tv and build stand - Once sky box plugged in, switched on tv and worked immediately - auto tuning of terrestial tv worked in 10 mins, put dvd in recorder..worked right away.!!

The picture is amazing, watched lord of the rings on sky movies, almost like being at the cinema - picture very clear. I like the 3d sound (on low) good quality. Speakers run along the bottom of the TV, so screen size is just screen size! no unneccesarry width. Picture slightly affected when watching older broadcasts (like tv gold) but still v good. But that is not the tv fault - due to quality of transmission. Controls easy to use and understand. (even better picture setting sky setup, picture to RGB as opposed to PAL) Have not tried pc, game play yet, but on reading another review (he sounded like he really knew what he was talking about! - all technical and stuff!) he rated it as the best he had seen.! and gave it overall 4.5 out of 5.

Just need to buy the sky hd box now (ROBBIN GITS £299!, + £10 per month!!)

Overall all of us rate as `amazin`!

LGRZ37LZ55i am very pleased i purchased this panel, for the price its well worth it, the picture is very good especially with the xd engine working away. i know theres more expensive models out there, ie sonys, panasonics, but if you cant stretch that far, this is an excellent compromise.

Hd in the store looked exeptional with the colours so bold and vivid, no jerking on fast moving pictures, which is common on some sets.

Details on the picture are so good i found myself looking around at the enviroment of the picture thats being displayed, instead if just concentrating say on the main characters on screen. Its probably a combination of the size of the panel and the quality that make you keep trying to look around the picture.

dvds on a non progressive scan player looks exeptional, the panal does its best to progressivly scan the picture it receives, thought this isnt as good as having a dvd progressive player. I am looking forward to getting a dvd player that does this, possible with a hdmi slot, which is the nearest thing to a hd-player there is right now. though of course no where near as good.

if this is you price bracket, avoid the the unknown makes and go for this.

im happy.

AcerAT3201WI have had my unit since November 05 and am very pleased with the performance. I had heard in the past that the fan was a problem. If mine has one it has not been a problem for me. I say this because I believe they have done away with it now. 5 out of 5Ed02/02/2006 09:26:16

SAMSUNGLE32R51BDgreat buy, works brilliant on xbox360,freeview pictures are good,as long as the signal it recievs is good! It took a lot of fiddling to get the picture levels right, but once done the picture was crisp and clear, well worth £1,000 price tag best in class!! If you have a few quid extra to spend,Panasonics 32lxd500 is the better of the two,but only just!! When buying hdtv`s,make sure it has the right connections you require,as many of the lcd tv`s I looked at,did`nt have a component input {red, green, blue} jacks, which in my opinion are a must have on any hdtv!! Happy hunting, but you cant go wrong with the samsung le32r51bd. P.S MAKE SURE YOU GET YOUR MODEL NUMBERS RIGHT THERE ARE A LOT OF SHEEP IN WOLVES CLOTHING OUT THERE!!!!!!! 5 out of 5GARRY26/01/2006 09:43:40

Philips26PF9956Excellent picture with all sources. quoted at 400:1 contrast ratio but in my opinion looks far superior to most other displays with higher on paper figures, even those at 800-1000:1. Stylish design, even a stylish remote and the sound is great too. All in this is one superb tv and also makes an excellent monitor for your pc. Do yourself a favour and check this out, you might just like it!! It is the IDEAL display for a media center pc or the like. This is also one of the cheapest ways to get pixel plus, a real advantage on all non computer sources. 5 out of 5Stu10/01/2006 11:11:05

SamsungLE32R41BExcellent TV. Really difficult to fault.

Analogue TV pictures: via coax are decent enough, digital cable TV via scart are good and from DVD via scart are good. Now connect this TV up using the digital connection, HDMI, and this set really starts to show you what it is capable of. DVD played through the TV via HDMI is truly amazing. Images take on a 3D quality, pin sharp and superbly rendered. And watching Hi-Def downloads from my media centre, wow!

The only real negatives on the picture side are that I’ve noticed black areas, although beautifully rich, can sometimes look to be lacking in detail, but this seems more dependent on the style of the film. Lower quality sources can suffer from smearing and look a tad mirky (garbage in, garbage out). But these are really minor grumbles when you look at the big picture.

Sound is fine for normal TV broadcasts and for films you’ll be using your external system anyway.

Conclusion: at this price! Go out and buy one. Pictures are bright, well textured with great colours and good contrast. Connections future proof the set. Build quality is exceptional and with it’s glossy black surround looks fantastic in your living room.

PANASONICTX26LXD52At last, our old sony packed up (although it`s been good to us). Spent hours reading what hifi + others trying to decided which LCD, what size etc etc. Ended up between this (or the D500) and a Sharp. In the end, the simple things decided it, slight swival ability and more black on the surround mean`t we went for pani. Then only needed to decide between this and the D500. No contest in my view, as the PC input + memory card slot didn`t justify £100+ more.

TV is great - decent RGB scart and RCA`s from digi box mean that the sound is good, as well as the picture.

Have fun deciding - I hope this helps.

PanasonicTX32LXD500I bought this T.V yesterday after returning a Loewe Xelos A32 and must say i`m really impressed. Compared to the Loewe i`ll admit the picture quality is not as good, but the difference in price is far greater than the difference in quality. The black levels produced by the set are amazingly deep - i can`t wait to watch `Batman Begins` on this set. I won`t bore you with the technical specifications of this set- i`m sure you can find them for yourself. All in all, you won`t be disappointed with this set - i had a loewe and am not going back!

WharfedaleLCD1710AFI have just purchased this product, I feel that it was well worth the purchase. The screen doesn`t seem small compared to other 17inch models. It seems bigger. The Freeview is great and the picture is clear as well. There is a good set of connections for a small television. 2 Scart audio sockets and a video phono, s-video, headphone socket. The remote control is simple but has many features.

Great Product, would recommmend!
