| Sanyo | CE42FD90B | I got the SANYO CE42FD90-B to replace my series 4 Samsung 37` lcd tv.Before buying the set i looked around at all the well known brands upto a price of #1500 and found myself going back to the sanyo on more than one occasion due to its beautiful picture and build quality. It is packed with features including 4 hdmi ports, usb port,3 scart outputs, sub out and even an optical output to connect to my surround system. You see alot of adds for the set with 1300-1 contrast but it has dynamic contrast of 10,000-1 which is more than enough.Again the picture quality is exellent with no motion blur on fast moving scenes in movies ect, beating the sets i looked at with double the price tag.I could go on but trust me if you want a top of the line TV at a reasonsble price get this one,you won`t regret it. | | P Smithson | 09/11/2009 18:25:56 |

| PANASONIC | TX32LXD85 | I bought this TV having been impressed by my 26" Panasonic, which is now in my bedroom. It offers the same excellent quality and features, plus a stylish glossy black surround. Theres also a nice added extra in the form of the SD card slot, which will hold the memory card from your digital camera, allowing you to view your holiday photos on a big screen. Very pleased, particularly as Amazon offered next day delivery for a very reasonable price. | | Amazon Reviewer | 22/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Sony | KDL40W4000 | If youre cynical, like me, you might wonder if all the five-star ratings can be right. Believe me, they are. This is a superb TV. Blacks like you wont believe, fantastic colour and a quick crispness which LCDs just didnt have a while back. The only thing which arent magnificent are the onboard speakers - theyre a bit weak. But if youre getting a TV like this youll be hooking it up to a home theatre system. | | Amazon Reviewer | 22/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Panasonic | TX37LZD85 | Wanted this urgently, so paid £849 at the Panasonic shop including 5yr Panasonic warranty. Could have paid £150 more at John Lewis. Would have bought from Amazon if they had it in stock. Less likely to purchase from Amazon third party though. Anyway, the TV worked fine straight from the box and is great with onboard Freeview, 1080i upscaled DVD and std definition SKY through humble SCART connection. Have seen some really bad images, but invariably due to poor quality programme material. Cant wait to get my SKY+ HD box next week, so I can use this TV to the full. Only subtle improvements so far from the 100Hz frame rate, but I wanted to make sure I didnt regret not having it later on, as I watch a lot of sports. The 100Hz demo in the Panasonic shop was convincing but Im not sure if it is representative of real viewing or simply designed to woo prospective customers. I reckon the new models will be maybe 25% more expensive due to the recent collapse of the GBP exchange rate, but its not going to help Panasonic, Sony, Pioneer etc. sell their televisions. | | Amazon Reviewer | 20/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Sony | KDL40W4000 | Had this TV now for just under a week after researching quite thoroughly.I do not regret my decision at all. I purchased a PS3 as well at the same time and simply put, the Blu-Ray performance is awesome, played Blade Runner and The Matrix....fantastic colours, detail and motion performance.
"Normal" tv also good as well
Very easy to install and set up, good menus and photo viewer very good as well(just shove a memory stick into the USB port and away you go)One thing to note is that the strap on the stand is for tidying cables up once the tv has been connected up....yes i know but it took me a moment to suss it :-)
Cant really comment on sound performance as I am connected to surround sound system.
As i was jumping straight from a 4:3 CRT set to this it was quite a big deal for me and I am extremely pleased to say I made the right decision, no regrets or post purchase blues..
Delivery from Amazon was excellent as well i must add, ordered Monday delivered Thurday morning.
in a word.... "Fantastic" | | Amazon Reviewer | 20/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Sony | KDL40V4000 | After much browsing and reading of AVforums i was worried. Lots of people stated that the tv had horrible ghosting so i thought i would clarify this. this tv has horrible ghosting if you use a rubbish signal and put it on analogue tv. Digital is good better then average and depending on the channel can be great. On Blu ray and PS3 games via a gold plated HDMI cable this tv is superb no input lag and the blu ray display through my ps3 took my breath away. all i can say is that this tv is a solid buy even at 800 its not too bad. but then again i got mine for 500. great tv worth the wait even if amazons service this time round was low standard. | | Amazon Reviewer | 20/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| LG | 26LG3000 | I got this TV for a xmas present and absolutely love it.
The sound quality is very good for a TV of its size, and far better than I expected.
The same can be said for the picture, it is clear and crisp, no fuzzyness at all.
The style is very much to my liking, very clean cut, with a nice gloss finish and easy to access buttons that are clearly laid out, in fact everything was very clear in every sense, only took 5 minutes to set up!
And looking at another review that has been left for this TV I have to say that:
1: The plastic has not yet scratched for me, and I have handled it considerably, and cleaned it, so I have to say that this TV in my experience is not easy to scratch, though it is definitely possible.
2: Dead pixels happen a lot with LCD televisions, and is not a fault with any particular model, this is why we have returns policies.
3: The labels came off no problem for me.
4: Every LCD TV that I have ever seen has a certain viewing angle and it is best to have the television mounted so that you can face it dead on to get the best picture quality possible.
So basically an excellent television thats is way underrated, and 26" is rather bigger than I though =) | | Amazon Reviewer | 19/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Lg | 19LG3000 | I bought this television for use in my university room. One thing which made this TV stand out was its very high contrast ratio. This makes a big difference in picture qality. When it arrived it was easily set up within 10-15 minutes, and a few minutes for it to be tuned. Once up and running the picture quality is really good as is the sound. I also use it to play on an xbox 360, using a HDMI cable. The qulity through this is also really good on 720p. A TV this size will never be as good as a larger one due to the limitations of size, but it is easily one of the best TVs for its size.
Overall, I am really pleased with this, and woild highly reccomend it to anyone interested in buying a small TV.

| Sony | KDL40W4000 | Having pondered for weeks over which LCD HDTV to get, and after having done a lot of research and reading around I finally decided to go with the Sony 40w4000 and I havent looked back since.
The picture quality is up there with the best in class. The Standard Definition (SD) picture is above average for an LCD TV and is really quite good for a Full HD 40" panel, as long as youre not sat within 6ft of the screen. Up-scaled DVDs are also a treat and do appear noticeably clearer than on an old CRT set.
However, it is the High Definition sources which make this set stand-out. Blu-ray movies are razor sharp (using HDMI cable) and the detail present is phenomenal, particularly in dark scenes - as the 40w4000 displays deep blacks to almost match those of a plasma. Also, there is next to no motion-blur present (even though this set doesnt come with the, I believe overrated, 100Hz feature), including fast-action scenes. This also shone through when gaming. I hooked up my PS3 and Call of Duty: World at War to the 40w4000 and was very impressed with the sharp detail, vivid colours and negligible response time in-game, never noticing a slow-down or any "lag" while playing.
On to sound. Given the size of the front speakers, it was a surprise to find out that they are much more powerful and clearer than I came to expect. Ive found that LCD TVs are notoriously bad for sound quality (without a home theatre system) since manufacturers usually attempt to hide the speakers somewhere round the back and often end up with a tinny sound to them. However, Sony has placed them at the front and it works very well in this case.
The menus are easy to use and will be somewhat familiar to those who own a Sony PS3, since the menu system is modeled on the XrossMediaBar (XMB). The controller is pretty streamlined, and although not the best designed, it is very accessible.
The design of the set is sleek and conservative. The transparent strip at the bottom of the panel (above the chrome strip) is a neat touch and theres a wire-tie at the back so you dont see a mass of wires through the strip. Although the frame appears black, it is actually black with scattered speckles of blue glitter to give a "Midnight Sky" colour, which is slightly tacky in my opinion, but its not noticeable until you closely inspect the frame, or place it in direct sunlight (not advisable).
Overall, this is a really good set. Not the best for SD images, but its above average and the HD quality is one of the best Ive seen to date. Blu-ray and SkyHD look stunning, DVDs are up-scaled nicely, SD is pretty good and HD gaming is a treat - a highly recommended TV. | | Amazon Reviewer | 19/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Panasonic | TX37LZD81 | Bought this TV from local store although did review on internet and check out in a couple of stores, best to do as much homework as possible, 1080p or ready, these type of things, as this is my review and my opinion plumb for 1080p then you have the best definition available, and if you look close at screen you can tell, Freeview picture is fantastic even without HD and compere that to analogue which you can get on the TV and see the difference, like previous had dish but no sky although did buy non HD Freestat which I was pleased with but compere that to the Freestat HD built into the set, no contest, and there are quite a few progs in HD,the sad thing now I shall have to buy a new HD DVD rec I recon with built in Freeview, but thats not the TVs fault, but the DVDs which I have played are 10 times better, must not forget the SD card reader slot the card in and up come your photos in lovely whatever your camera is 3/12million pix fantastic,as I said get the 1080p if you want that little bit extra, Be assured this TV is one of the best around, OK I could have paid less for a TV but I could have paid a lot more too | | Amazon Reviewer | 18/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Sony | KDL40W4000 | i have had this tv now for a few days and its an absolute corker. i prieviesly had a kdl40v2500 which was ok but decided to give this tv a go and damn i can not believe how much lcd technology has improved over the last 2 years! i mainly use it for my ps3 and my sky plus box. sd pictures are good as long as you do not sit to close to the tv! but once you put in a blu ray omfg i could not believe the quality it makes you watch a film just for the hell of it( i would reccomend planet earth on blu ray). sound is also good but overall i have to simply say BRILLIANT! | | Amazon Reviewer | 18/01/2009 01:01:01 |

| Wharfedale | LCD1710AF | I have this tv for over a year now and I`ve never had any problem with it at all... the picture and sound quality is really good and I have enjoyed watching tv on it, plus built in freeview has been btter than some of the freeview boxes going these days.... I`ve never experienced any blank screen problems... the screen goes blank after it is left for a while and will turn of after a certian time but if you read the manual you can change this so it doenst switch off. It just thinks ur not watching the tv so it saves power and the quality of your lcd display Product has been really good to me I`m suprised at these comments =[ | | This tv is really good !!???? | 12/09/2009 14:48:20 |

| Digilogic | D15LCD-1 | This is an excellent TV which lives in our sun lounge. Of course, my model does not, despite it`s name, have a built in digital tuner, so it only receives analogue programs. I shall have to decide (next year) whether to buy a digi box or replace it with a digital tv. | | Colin from | 02/09/2009 07:41:29 |

| Logik | 32LW782 | Excellent picture and sound options. Easy to set up, it found all channels straight away and with 2 HDMI I was able to connect my cable v+ box and dvd recorder.
