I am quite satisfied with the tv however I had serious problems with the delivery company. Because I was at work when they attempted to deliver the product they tried to deliver it on 3 seperate days culminating in it being abandoned at the rear of my house. I contacted the delivery company on 2 occasions & both times they refused to deliver the tv to an alternative address which was only a mile from my home because it is allegedly in a different delivery area which I find ridiculous. They also refused to contact me via my mobile phone so that I could meet the delivery man. On both occasions I spoke to someone at the delivery company ( at my expense by the way ) I found them to be rude & uncooperative. I have made purchases in the past from Amazon but will seriously think before doing so again because of the delivery problem.

Excellent quality picture, no picture drag on fast movement, cam slot included for expansion to PPV channels. Sound quality clear although a bit lacking in bass. Good EPG on freeview, and it all sets up automatically brilliant.
Good value for a top end telly.

Amazon amazing! Goods arrived so quickly and perfectly packed. Set up was a twaddle. Reception achieved within seconds. After a few days some problems with satellite stations but might have been due to other electronic items being too near. Occasional flashes of a streak or two but on the whole well satisfied.
Pity the news on it has been so dismal but guess that would apply to every make and reception!

This is my 3rd Panasonic Viera TV and as with the other two the picture quality is second to none. Although this one doesnt have a HD feed in the kitchen, the freeview provides a good enough picture quality. With a HD feed the set offers the same outstanding quality as my other tw in the living room and bedroom. THe setup menu is simple and can be easily understood by anyone. Its a tidy little television, and I have waited for Panasonic to launch a 19` for ages - well worth waiting for.

I had the opportunity to compare this side-by-side with the Sony 19L4000, and this is definitely the better of the two. The colours are sharper and brighter and the sound is better (although you only get 1 SCART on the Panasonic). You get some blurred edges at times, particularly with a weaker Freeview signal but I think thats normal for this `entry-level` type of TV. Its at the higher end of the 19` LCD price bracket, but I think its well worth spending that bit extra.

Delivered in perfect condition despite challenging weather conditions. Read the instructions. However, whilst Panasonic instructions are the clearest on the market, they dont always tell the story! Technics and Panasonic fanatic!! Installed the LCD television replacing a year old Sony 19`. This was relegated to the third bedroom for the guests. The Panasonic was set up, being fed by the RF cable function out of the satellite receiver. The auto function worked perfectly, setting up both the surface transmissions for the analogue and digital channels. However, the satellite channel was not recognized. Unfortunately, only the AV satellite function is recorded in the instructions. I am sure that this works perfectly. The only way I could set up the satellite channel was through the manual set up and I was not assured that this was correct as the channel recorded some 10db down in reference to the normal analogue channels. In reference to Panasonic, they acknowledged that this was the only way of setting up the satellite channel. They identified the need for an antenna amplifier, but I already have a +50 db amplifier in line! The alternative is for a selection of satellite receivers to be placed around the house! Upon investigation, it is apparent that the frequency demodulator in the Sony functions over channels 21 to 99. The Panasonic functions over channels 21 to 68. Unfortunately, all satellite receivers in the UK function on channel 68 - nowadays. This is a design fault. It is a shame, that whilst I am in a poor reception area, all my other Panasonic televisions function OK. The television itself has a perfect picture in analogue and digital modes and the sound is far superior to the Sony. I would recommend the LCD, especially if is not to work with satellite channels!

I was expecting great things from this TV but I wont lie to you Im pretty disappointed - average sound, poor EPG, so-so picture, dodgy built-in Freeview tuner.
Stick to Panasonics 32` TVs as they deserve all the praise that they get.

Brilliant! My first LCD, a 19` Polaroid, replaced a Sony 21` in my bedroom. I thought that was fab. When i needed to change it,Panasonic was recommended to me. I was a bit weary, but The picture quality, definition, ease of use, etc.on the Panasonic is on another level. All who have seen it are amazed at its quality. I have always been a die-hard Sony fan, but this beats it and is gentler on the purse.

I bought this set to replace a 20 inch Toshiba that was only a couple of years old. The Toshiba had a contrast ratio of 600:1 which was pretty good at the time - my, weve come along way in 24 months - this Panasonic boasts a ratio of 5000:1 in comparision! I must say, there is a big difference between this set and my old tv - most notably the fact that the blacks are pretty much black - as opposed to the Toshiba (and many older and / inferior made LCD television sets) in which blacks looked more like a washed out grey. This set is very straight forward to set up - to improve the picture quality there are noise reduction filters and sharpness controls - ive found these very useful when viewing a PVR freeview box through the set. Negative points? well..... there is only one scart socket, which some may find a problem and the set doesnt come with a swivel based stand. Otherwise an excellent set and very good value considering rrp is in the region of £400+

This is a great TV, in my view let down by one thing. Lets take a look at the good points:
- Great picture
- Easy to use
- Simple, good looking remote
- Loads of ports (most of which Ill never use)
- Great looking TV
- Simple cabling at the back which neatly tucks away (avoiding the mess I used to have stuck on the wall with my old Wharfdale LCD TV, which required an external power adapter)
In fact, I bought this TV because Id been so pleased with a Panasonic 42` Plasma which I bought last year. However, in the last year, one key thing has changed. The Electronic Programme Guide (EPG), which is fantastic on the 42` Plasma, has now been changed so that there are adverts taking up a third of the screen. On a small 19` screen this means the programme data is cramped into a much smaller area meaning you can see fewer programmes at any one go. For me, given that you are paying a premium for a panasonic above other makes (justified in every other respect), I object to having adverts forcibly thrust at me every time I look at the programme guide. Panasonic tell me there is no way to turn these off.
If you dont mind my frustrations over ads, or dont use the EPG, then this is an excellent TV. For me, though this feature, lets it down, particularly as the previous Pansonic EPG without ads used to be so good.

I bought one of these yesterday for my dad, and as its only a small set I did not have high expectations, I was wrong and its very good!
The contrast levels are good for a small set with bright clear colours and good details in the black/dark areas.
Even the sound for a small set is good.
The menus are very easy to use and the guide works well.
The screen resolution is excellent, and provides a pleasant viewing experience.
Overall this is a set Id recommend to anyone looking for a small LCD TV.

Panasonic TX-19LXD8 - 19` Viera LCD TV
Great TV, excellent picture, easy to use menus, great sound, can be tilted on the stand. No bad points that Ive found. The 5000:1 contrast ratio holds it apart from other 19in LCD TVs.
