Brought this item as parents own a Panasonic 32` which is excellent.

Picture on freeview is very blotchy (squares) which gets annoying also sound jumps and vanishes. This points to a poor signal but had aerial checked out and all ok. I bought this from Hughesdirect (through Amazon), who so far been very helpful in arranging to return.
They have told me that there is a known fault with this particular model which needs 3 capaciters replacing, however Panasonic dont seem to know much about this!

I wouldnt reccommend you buy this model, however I intend to go for another Panasonic as they seem to come top in most reviews (and believe me Ive spent months researching). I intend to either go for the LZD80 or the plasma PX80b
