I actually use them for their intended purpose (originally asthma but now
classed as COPD)and have been for 30-odd years. I feel like a criminal
when I try and buy them now, and find very few chemists who actually sell
them. Going to GP today to try and get them legally!

Yes. they are widely being misused. Continual use is being linked to
paranoid schizophrenia, headaches and digestive disorders. The ephadrine
is misused by muscle builders and apparently do-do`s are also being used
by drug-addicts to enhance class A drugs by mixing do-do`s with the other
drug. Internet pharmacy companies are now refusing to sell them and very
shortly they will be withdrawn from all pharmacists and made prescription
only. Already large packets are no longer being manufactured. These
tablets are nothing but trouble and effects of regular usage over along
